☀️LOSE IT! July 2022☀️

Fresh new month, fresh new start, fresh new habits. Jump right into July! Reset & refresh to become a healthier version of yourself! It’s going to be a Sizzling Summer!

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating to LOSE or MAINTAIN. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have a WOW (Weigh On Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable). It’s a journey, not a destination.

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day.

Are you in?😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why? You can do it, if you really want too!

I just joined at the end of the last thread.

Walked 4 miles at a moderate pace and had a bit of a kitchen disco when tidying up and dancing to music.

Had roast lamb with loads of veg but just one roast potato, low carbing tends to work for me.

Saving a place. A bit over my allowance at this point, I’ll need to fit in some exercise.

Can I please join. I would like to lose 2 and a half stone. I put on so much weight over the pandemic and now I look fat and frumpy. None of my clothes fit me. I am going to use the Nutracheck app Monday to Friday and be more relaxed on the weekends.

@TheRealHousewife thanks for the new thread! Makes me feel nice and fresh for the month 😁

I'm loosely following a 16:8 intermittent fast, mainly whole foods and try to meet protein requirements. Plan to continue running 3-4 times a week and weights.

Goal for July is to lose 6lbs to take me firmly into the healthy BMI range. Got both my daughters birthdays and a 2 week holiday at the end of the month so predicting it'll get sketchy around then!!

Welcome to all the new starters

Thanks for new thread @TheRealHousewife as always.😊

SW 10 st 4 bmi 24
CW 9st 9 bmi 22.4
GW 9st 6 bmi 22
Stuck at CW for a month but not too worried as have had a couple of off schedule weekends/occasions and I’m enjoying the way I eat and have lots of NSVs(non scale victories) such as clothes fitting better and feeling good.
Continuing in July and will see where I end up.

I'd like to join! I had a baby 4.5 months ago and my wedding is mid September. I bought my dress pre-baby and it doesn't fit. I'd like to lose 2 stone in 11 weeks 😬🤞🏻

Thanks, as always, for the spangly new thread RealHousewife! It's my weigh day today and am a little down so pleased with that:

SW: 104.7kg
CW: 77.2kg
July GW: 74.7kg

Hopefully a realistic July GW set - aiming for a nice round 30kg off which will mean top end of 4 stone lost. I've got a bit of a boozy, foodie weekend away this weekend and it's also my birthday at the end of this month but going to do what I can to hit it and provided I'm even just 0.1kg down by the end of the month, I'll be happy as am the lightest I've been for years!!

I calorie count and then have a couple of lower calorie days a week (roughly about 800 on those days). I've also got the hiking bug and try to get out at least once or twice a week which us good for body & soul.

Welcome all the new people - and the old! July is going to be a good one, I just know it!

I should say I was 89.something kg a few weeks ago and am 86.3kg now. I'd like to get to about 74/75kg if possible, lower if I can (but I've not been that small in a long time unfortunately!)

Joining! I've let myself get out of control and eaten all the chocolate over the last couple of months. Low carb works best for me, and time restricted eating 16:8.

i may break that down into smaller goals, a stone at a time.

Thank you for the new thread @TheRealHousewife

Ending June/starting July with an unexpected loss of 1/2lb 🥳

I've never posted my full stats before joining these threads at the start of the year, but have decided I'm going to now:

SW 11st 8lb (BMI 26.9)
CW 10st 3lb (BMI 23.8)
GW 9st 12lb (I think)

I loosely follow 16:8, and I have cut out bread, crisps and wine in the week. I don't give myself any rules really over the weekend, although I have found the longer I go, the less I want the bread and crisps at the weekend too! Same thing can't be said about wine, though 👀😅

I just want to be in the 9s, really to give myself some wiggle room. Having said that, I'm not unhappy with my size and shape now, but I'm pressing on just to try and lose another 4-5lb. It's be nice to reach that by the school holidays, but realistically that's unlikely so I'm just going to set myself a target of maintaining a good balance and chip away at the lbs as much as I can.

Hello, may I join? Completely new to this and have put on about 2 and half stone over the last couple of years or so. Currently about 12 and half stone (80kg) and would like to get back the 9’s (although I tend to settle around mid 10’s) but struggling as I have a very busy and stressful job and the weight just doesn’t come off like it used to! And I just went through two rounds of IVF which has also piled the weight on. So BMI is a rather worrying 28/29 so need to pull that back down into the healthy range to start with. Aiming for half a stone/10 pounds loss for this month I think.

So I’m hoping being on here will give me some accountability and make me stick to it for once! I have lost the weight before but it back on a few years ago. But I’ve never been this big and an attempt to lose weight earlier this year failed miserably. The same method I used to lose the weight just a couple of years before didn’t shift a single pound in 4 weeks so I gave up. I tend to not like breakfast so am going to give intermittent fasting a try, it seems once I eat it makes me hungrier!

I do like exercise (I know, bit weird!) and have started mild jogging/power walking for 45 mins several times a week and have an exercise bike so am going to try and get in the habit and get a bit fitter too! Tbh I’d just like to fit back in my clothes for starters. Just feeling fed up with feeling so uncomfortable!

Can I join too? I needed to lose 7 kilos before covid, then put on an extra 13. WFH is the worse for me, less exercise and more temptation. So now have 20 to lose.

SW 88.9
CW 87.3
TW 69

I'm mixing 16:8 with low carb. and I'm still counting the calories on My Fitness Pal, trying to stay around 1200 with one cheat day a week allowed.

Hi ladies, can I join too? I started dieting in June and lost 11lbs so far. I'm calorie counting and following 16:8. I weigh in on a Sunday, as my scales are at my boyfriends house lol it stops me obsessively weighing everyday.

SW: 17st 8
CW: 16st 11
GW: 12st

Looking forward to reading how you all get on!

Thank you for the new thread @TheRealHousewife . Good to be reminded it’s the start of a fresh month and especially going into the weekend. Meal plan today is a sandwich at lunch time, I have almonds and olives as snacks and then leftover roast chicken, cauliflower, peas and a couple of potatoes for dinner. Trying to stick to 1300 -1500. Aim to get out for a good walk today at some point too. Have a good day everyone.

Good Morning Everyone 😊

I love a fresh start as it fires up motivation and good intentions! IMAGINE how you’ll feel and look this time next month if you remain diligent and consistent with your intentions, albeit for the minor bumps we all experience. The secret is not to let the minor turn into major ‘hands up I submit, I can’t help myself’ type mindless stuffing of face 😬

Welcome to the thread @Adversity @AuntTwacky @AvocadoSoup @BlueSilver23 @ListenLinda @LostaraYil @MiracleBaby2022 @Noglassjustthebottleandastraw @Quackpot @Slightlystressedbride @raspberrymeringue

You are all absolutely most welcome @fallfallfall @Benjispruce4 @ImALittlePea @SanFranBear @ginsparkles @milkfromthesleepycow❤️ You’re the tribe that shows consistency rules 👍👏⭐️

Congratulations on your new babys @AvocadoSoup @MiracleBaby2022and your upcoming wedding @Slightlystressedbride

Apologies if I’ve missed anyone!

Ill get back to menu planning when I return from holiday. Generally though I’m eating OMAD in the early evening. Yesterday was Fish fillet, new potatoes skin on and side salad. Summer fruits jelly, meringue and ice cream (not a large portion) Lush!

Set your intentions, plan you menu and activity and enjoy yourselves!

Thanks for the new thread @TheRealHousewife

I’m starting July on 73.7 kg, which means I stayed the same over June. I’m happy with that, as that was the goal I’ve been having for the past few months, but I’m now thinking about losing some more. I’d love to be a stone lighter by the end of the year. No idea if that’s achievable, but I guess it’s something to aim for 🤔

I’m planning to get there (or at least work towards that) by counting calories, but I’m also doing a massive amount of exercise, so I’m not really sure what to aim for calorie wise. TDEE calculators say I can eat 2500 calories + and stay the same, but I really don’t think that’s true and have no intention of trying that out 😂

I have a 2k race coming up next week, so definitely won’t be cutting calories too drastically before that, but may reevaluate after that.

Just read all the acronyms so here goes
CW 10st 1
GW 9st 4

Post menopausal and lockdown got me, when I was young I only weighed 8st 7 but I am after a realistic target.

I am off out for a long walk with my friend today with coffee at a canal side cafe, think it’s about 5 miles. I have also ordered some new walking trainers as mine are falling apart. I have an issue with my back and occasional issues with my feet. When I was younger I did a lot of sport and live in a house where people still do, I’m thinking of buying an exercise bike.
