Starting tomorrow, I need to lose roughly three stone, and generally sort myself out.

I am a mess 😀

I think I'm with you today @Harrysmummy246 - just exhausted and can't even summon up the energy to care that I'm fat. I want to have the energy and enthusiasm to do loads with my small DC and to keep on top of housework etc, but honestly I'm so knackered that I can't see how I can get there Confused

Harrysmummy246 · 13/04/2022 08:40

I'm at work today. Gardener so at least I'm moving. DS shipped off to my parents til tomorrow evening

Garfieldismyspiritanimal · 13/04/2022 09:23

Hi everyone, quiet here! @Harrysmummy246 sorry it’s tough at the moment. Hope the headspace gardening helps you feel a bit brighter. The fresh air definitely helps me.

Harrysmummy246 · 13/04/2022 10:20

It's raining so could be better but the responses are helping enormously. Back to shoveling compost I go

Wowcherarestalkingme · 13/04/2022 10:28

We have covid so that’s our plans for the next few days out the window. I was supposed to be having a child free day so I could spring clean but never mind. Might get the wellies on and get in the garden to try and get some movement in. Food has been better but still not good enough

LouB76 · 13/04/2022 11:11

@Garfieldismyspiritanimal

Ah that sucks *@LouB76*

I put on a few lbs before a period even if I have followed the plan. Any hidden calories anywhere? Wine?

I've lost the 2 lbs again this morning 🤔

No wine. I drink black coffee, green tea and water. I sometimes have a couple of cans of pre mixed gin and tonic - 83 cals per can but I add those in to MyFitnessPal.

LouB76 · 13/04/2022 11:19

@Harrysmummy246

I got 1,000 cals a day from MyFitnessPal. I typed in how much I want to lose and in what time frame and it recommended 1,000 cals per day.

Harrysmummy246 · 13/04/2022 12:06

Sounds like you're trying to lose faster than is sustainable then @LouB76

MooPointCowsOpinion · 13/04/2022 16:15

I am exhausted from roller skating with the kids today, the Oreo’s are looking at me, I’ve just eaten one but I know a sugar “pick me up” never actually picks me up and I need to remember that so no more Oreo’s!
Big glass of cold water…. And wait for dinner!

Keep going guys, the second week is always the hardest, one day at a time and stick with it even if the scales aren’t moving. Lots of things affect your weight but sticking to your diet WILL be burning fat.

Consistency over time makes results.

I have a cheat day every Saturday.
Version4needsabitofwork · 13/04/2022 17:06

I'm still on week one and I've already had an unplanned glass of wine (and maybe an accidental cocktail Blush - and a small slice of treacle tart Grin)... Back on it again today.

It's a marathon, not a sprint and all that...

The rollerskating sounds fun @MooPointCowsOpinion - and the gardening sounds good in this weather too. I just sat in ours - although it was only to escape the ear slpitting noise of two small boys playing Stickfight on the Switch.

I'm going to go for a walk later only to walk one of the 9 year olds back to his own house so that I can reclaim the sofa and have a nice lie down in peace

CaptainCallisto · 13/04/2022 18:26

I've done quite well today. Ended up actually getting a lie in (DH let the boys have screens early so they'd be quiet) for the first time in months, so didn't have any breakfast. Not deliberately, I just didn't get hungry until about half past eleven, so had an early lunch. Had mushroom, spinach and peppers scrambled into two eggs which was quite nice, and kept me going.

Just had roast beef and veg for tea (no Yorkshires (travesty I know) or roast potatoes). I did have gravy with it, but I figured that as I stood there and made it, I was flipping well going to eat it! I've had some blueberries and natural yoghurt for pudding, so it's been a pretty good food day.

I decided I was going to clean all the floor to ceiling windows and frames in the conservatory today, and then do the floor. It's the kids' playroom so it ended up taking most of the day because we had to have a mammoth sort out before I could even get to the windows. My arms feel like jelly though so I must have burned some calories!

Harrysmummy246 · 13/04/2022 18:58

I've somehow summoned the energy to do my run scheduled for today after work (wonders of not having to pick DS up as he's at my parents).
Quesadillas for dinner as we had stuff to use up from tacos the other day but I tried to be sparing with the cheese and added grated carrot etc.
There is a custard slice in the fridge. Which I am going to eat. But if it's logged and it's only that, and I'm on about 22k steps today, then so what....

@LouB76 still think your average intake over the whole week is going to be too low- what did you put into MFP?

frostedfruits · 13/04/2022 22:28

Not a great couple of days for me, had fun but lost track of my intake. The sunscreen out and found a really really reallynice new draught cider in a local so had 2 in the sun yesterday then 2 out for the day again today. Also kids birthday so we went to kaspas so everything went out the window then. So that 2 cheat days in a row for me, back to being serious tmrw. Was fun while it lasted!

Harrysmummy246 · 14/04/2022 07:27

Back down to 81.1kg so BMI under 27. First real goal is back under 80kg so I reckon by end of month might be hopeful. I'm not a big chocolate Eater so this weekend shouldn't be too different

LouB76 · 14/04/2022 13:51

Well I'm 71.6kgs today, so that extra kilo that appeared earlier this week has gone. My goal is to be 70 kgs by the end of April.

Long term goal is to get down to 65 kgs.

TalkToTheHand123 · 14/04/2022 15:42

Just been for a carvery. It was so nice. Haven't had one in ages. Hopefully undo a bit of damage when I get home and sleep it off then do some more sit-ups.

Harrysmummy246 · 14/04/2022 16:48

I've literally pressure washed all day at work. I am aching like crazy and beyond tired.

But I joined the SYatt Fitness inner circle today. Get back to being strong like I was about 10 years ago before house move- child- covid- change job etcetc etc

CaptainCallisto · 14/04/2022 20:52

It's been a day of two halves here. Nice, healthy breakfast, big salad for lunch, lentil & veg bake planned for tea. It was all going so well. Then my neighbour knocked on the door with a homemade black forest gateaux to say thank you for helping her out of a pickle earlier in the week. Obviously, I was incredibly grateful for the kind gesture, but it was a bit of a disaster diet-wise because I ate a whole half (the kids split the other half) Blush

Harrysmummy246 · 14/04/2022 21:50

@CaptainCallisto just get back on track tomorrow. New day and all that.

I did great til the (planned) takeaway and wine this evening. But have running tomorrow and going to try and start the strength stuff on IC

CaptainCallisto · 14/04/2022 22:29

I'm actually quite pleased in a way because two weeks ago, if I'd eaten half that gateaux I would a) not really have cared and b) not felt any after effects. Today, I felt quite sick after eating it, so it feels like my body is beginning to adjust. I'm taking it as a positive anyway!

Enjoy your run tomorrow. I'm going to do half an hour of ballet barre work in my kitchen. Just need to get my head to remember that my body doesn't bend like it used to!

Harrysmummy246 · 15/04/2022 07:08

But your body will bend more if you do the barre work.

Harrysmummy246 · 16/04/2022 12:11

Bed with a migraine last night, probably linked to dehydration from the Chinese. Weight spiked too. But I've just done my hour long run which I'm really pleased with.
Not even going to go into the chaos overnight

Wowcherarestalkingme · 17/04/2022 20:19

How was everyone’s Easter? I’ve finally shaken covid and feel very much in the zone. Downloaded my fitness pal and feel really focused. Not even had any chocolate today! Going to go back to slimming world on Thursday. I’m not really following the plan (calorie counting instead) but I like the accountability of weighing

MooPointCowsOpinion · 17/04/2022 22:13

Hey @Wowcherarestalkingme glad you feel better!
I haven’t really watched what I’ve eaten the last 3 days but haven’t gone overboard. I’ll be glad to get back to normal tomorrow though with eating healthily, my stomach doesn’t like the last few days!
Weigh in this weekend shows again I am maintaining the same starting weight. Very annoyed! I’ve been working out like crazy, I really enjoy it, but it hasn’t made a difference. Im wondering if it makes me hungrier so I eat a bit extra and then don’t lose weight…!

Im going to do a week with only gentle yoga, and 1300 calories a day, see what next Sunday weigh in brings….!
