Starting tomorrow, I need to lose roughly three stone, and generally sort myself out.

I am a mess 😀

Thanks Kbear, good to know it can be done.

Like other posters I have effectively no clothes to wear. I have worn the same three pairs of Hush harem pants on rotation and t shirts for 2 years, literally. Worried I embarrass my family when we go out. I have a great wardrobe but it’s all far too small. I have slim legs but tummy is over 40 inches so if I buy bigger sizes for my tummy the legs look ridiculous.

CaptainCallisto · 08/04/2022 20:34

I am also completely off the wagon today. One of my colleagues has a garden pub sort of set up, and invited us all round for an end of term drink. Got there at four and have only just left (on foot - it's a village so most of us live within walking distance) having drunk rather a lot of cider. That's blown my whole week! I'll be doing a lot of walking tomorrow though, so hopefully might get back on track a bit before Monday weigh in. It was a one off though- I hardly ever drink - so I'm refusing to beat myself up about it!

OstrichFeathers · 08/04/2022 21:13

That sounds like a lovely afternoon, CaptainCallisto and a good reason to have a wobble.

LndnGrl · 08/04/2022 22:19

I had a good day today. Did my bootcamp class, did c25k w3r3 and did 11k steps.

Had
B: Yoghurt, banana, peanut butter and a tiny drizzle of honey. Tea with a sweetener.
S: a few bbq pork scratchings.
L: an exante product mixed with egg and baked into a 'cake with squirty cream and a tea with 2 sweeteners.
S: a slice of cauliflower tortilla.
D: mackerel and salad.

3L water.

I've decided not to give up sweeteners at the moment, I'd rather have fewer teas instead.

bella1426 · 09/04/2022 11:09

Morning all, yesterday wasn't great, did well with my eggs/smoothie/salad combo but scoffed some of my partners chips he got while out and then was hungry when we got home from the show and ate some crisps and chocolate. Not used to being awake past 11 and hungry again! No booze but the n/a beers do bloat me out a bit and up 1.5lbs on the scales today. But that's ok...going by weekly averages so my diet ethos is all about being consistently mostly good rather than striving for (impossible) constant perfection

My plan for the day....

Breakfast : already had toddlers leftover toast 🙄
Lunch : tuna salad
Dinner : filet steak with roast cauliflower and brocolli and pepper sauce
Snacks : apple, grapes, fruit smoothie
Exercise : 5k walk with dog (done) hot yoga class later

Have a good weekend everyone 💪

Losingtwostone · 09/04/2022 13:57

I'm struggling with the clothes too - been WFH since Covid just starting to go back in and NOTHING FITS!!! Refuse to buy new work wardrobe so hopefully leveraging myself into too tight work trousers and feeling uncomfortable all day will provide some weight loss motivation Smile

whoturnedthesunoff · 09/04/2022 19:00

I'm almost afraid to jinx myself but ..

In the last week I have shaved everything that should be shaved , used some lovely body care products , had my hair cut and a grey/pink toner

Done a face mask , painted my nails , eyebrows and moustache sorted

Rejoined SW and have ate properly for 3 days so far

Been food shopping today so can carry on with that

Bought Easter eggs for all who will get one and they are not calling my name

Drank at least 1 L of water or squash a day , hoping to up that this week coming

Currently charging my Fitbit

Small victories and irrelevant to some but monumental for me 🤭

Harrysmummy246 · 09/04/2022 20:20

And I've just done a bit of self sabotage having been ok all day, bit of bun loaf left, supposed to be for tomorrow and I just ate it. Blah

Version4needsabitofwork · 09/04/2022 20:44

@Kbear

Can I jump in to encourage you because I did sort my shit out and lost two stone since November and it feels so great and worth giving up the unhealthy foods for ! Do you want choc or do you want to be slimmer and healthier? I ask myself that every day
Needed to hear this today @Kbear! I've done 3, THREE days of my new anti-obesity plan and it's great, but oh, the urge to just jump into the kids' Ben and Jerry's this evening is strong.

Got to get over the habit of eating everything I see. Solidarity with the PP above (sorry, can't quote) who ate the bun. I feel ya. Stay strong. Flowers

Version4needsabitofwork · 09/04/2022 20:52

Sorry, that was to @Harrysmummy246. Back away from the bun now. BACK AWAY FROM THE BUN

Well done @whoturnedthesunoff - sterling work there. Loving the moustache removal. I myself whipped out a chin hair before going to work and felt like it was a real victory Grin. I swear these things make a difference.

I've lost 5lbs!

whoturnedthesunoff · 09/04/2022 20:55

@Harrysmummy246 pour washing up liquid over it quick ! 😂

whoturnedthesunoff · 09/04/2022 20:56

And fab stuff @Version4needsabitofwork 5 lbs would put me down into the next stone bracket so that's a first goal I think

What have you been doing differently ?

Harrysmummy246 · 09/04/2022 20:57

Thanks all, but too late. Have to row it off tomorrow and then be good at the party DS is at (I'd rather be in the garden but promised DH that now I don't work sundays, he doesn't have to do them)

Harrysmummy246 · 09/04/2022 20:58

Time for a refocus this week- I've been faffing about with this for 6 week now, did well to start then got complacent. Not cheating anyone except myself.

CaptainCallisto · 09/04/2022 21:05

My plan to get back on track today totally failed after our train was cancelled coming home from a day trip into Leeds and we had to wait two and a half hours for the next one (oh the joys of living rurally!). DS1 was working himself up to a meltdown because the plan changed, DS2 has to eat in order to take his meds (luckily I'd picked up the whole box this morning instead of just bringing his lunchtime ones), and so we ended up in Maccies. Not exactly a healthy dinner, but it's one of the few places we can take DS and it's considerably cheaper than Pizza Hut!

Pluses for the day though: I've done 23,000 steps, drunk loads of water, and I won't have to cook dinner tomorrow because the healthy vegetable curry I put in the slow cooker this morning wasn't needed and will reheat nicely.

LndnGrl · 09/04/2022 21:45

The 23k steps should offset your mcd's 💪

I did all my planned exercise today but ate the skin of 2 whole roast chickens (cooked for my dogs) along with the tortilla and yoghurt & banana meals so I wasn't hungry so didn't eat dinner. This isn't too much of an issue as I count carbs, not calories. I did have half a moser Roth 70% bar though, but I only had half, not all of it.

bella1426 · 09/04/2022 22:09

Oh dear it's all gone to shit today. Tired after being out last night and lots of carbs and sugar and ensuing headaches from it all. Draw a line under and get back on it tomorrow, that's all that can be done. Easter egg season is upon us and my house is already fraught with peril at every step 🙈🙈🙈

WheelofLife · 09/04/2022 23:54

I have failed miserably this week. I had too many carbs obviously and didn’t complete exercise as planned, so the scales haven’t shifted. Starting again tomorrow……

Garfieldismyspiritanimal · 10/04/2022 06:38

Morning all!
I’ve stuck to the coffee, protein shake and protein plus veg for dinner, no snacks all week. Yesterday was hard because we had friends round and there was cake, but I switched lunch and dinner round and made sure there was stuff I could eat. I also called on the services of my teen son to finish the last slice of cake when it started calling to me!
Anyhow, a week in and I am 8lbs down - about 6 lbs of which is water weight I expect. So I am now 16st rather than 16 st 8. Feel good about that.
Next week I know the weight loss will slow down so just need to keep being consistent.
Have a good Sunday everyone 👍😁

CaptainCallisto · 10/04/2022 08:39

Well done Garfield - that's a fantastic start!

I'm going to be extra careful today after a couple of dodgy days, in the hope that I won't have gained when I get on the scales tomorrow.

whoturnedthesunoff · 10/04/2022 08:59

@Garfieldismyspiritanimal
Well done , that is fantastic
And next week you will be down into the next stone bracket 🎉💐 really motivating

bella1426 · 10/04/2022 10:19

Morning all, trying to get back on track after the wheels came off a bit yesterday. Forgot how crappy eating crap food makes me feel, even though it tastes so good and can be hard to resist in the moment! One thing I've realised about my weekend habits is I don't drink enough water. During the week I have a big bottle on my desk that I refill a few times a day and drink loads which helps keep me full between meals but during the weekend I feel I graze and snack way too much, probably mistaking thirst for hunger. So my plan today is loads more water, just finished batch cooking a big chilli with loads of extra veg thrown in. I find batch cooking a chilli or curry at the weekend is definitely a component in having a good week ahead. Have a great day everyone 💪

LouB76 · 10/04/2022 10:31

Well I had a cheat day yesterday. Baguette for lunch and a slice of cake in the afternoon. I did a 7 mile walk though (about 630 calories), so hoping that balanced it out.
