Here is the new thread for tomorrow.

I am taking my starting weight as the weight as yesterday's weight, 9st1.75, same as beginning of February. Its been a bit of a tricky month for various reasons, so hoping to do a bit better in March.

Great advice allaboutthebooks! And maybe try fake it till you make it IswallowedaFly, on the confidence front! You deserve to feel fab after all your efforts!

CharlieBubbles88 · 19/03/2022 16:58

@Octopus37 yes, I eat a lot of roughage!

@HeyGirlHeyBoy it's holly Dolke seven minute arms on YouTube. I think she has a couple. No weights. Not sure if it's that or all the planks in yoga but I'll keep it up. My arms and core are very weak so working on those

@swallowedAfly lots of good advice and the right cut of swimsuit can make a huge difference. Why do we worry so much? I'm really conscious of the roll in my armpit when I wear straps tops but I can honestly say I've never even noticed anyone else's! Same on holiday, I'm too worried about what I look like to pay attention to anyone else Hmm

swallowedAfly · 19/03/2022 18:05

It's very hot already where I'm going, mid 30s, and I'll be in and out of the sea all the time so I'll need a fair bit of swimwear in rotation and don't want to be spending a fortune on stuff that will be too big by the next time I go awayy. Need to brave digging out what I've got and trying stuff on.

YY to the wasted energy and headspace of worrying about what you look like. Tragically I did the same thing even when young and slim. I had a peak of body comfort in my mid thirties where the middle aged decline hadn't set in yet but the youthful vanity and neuroticism had eased off a lot so despite not looking as good as when young I was actually more confident and comfortable with myself.

Youth is wasted on the young and all that.

Off to google seven minute arms but I have a dodgy shoulder at the minute so best be cautious.

Despite the body issues I'm really looking forward to being in the sea.

swallowedAfly · 19/03/2022 19:21

Braved trying on swim stuff and it was all ridiculously big on me. Have ordered some basic bits pretty cheaply to try on. I've gone with size 16 and will see. I've got a couple of one pieces and some high waist briefs and a couple of sports bra like tops coming. Hopefully I can find something I don't feel terrible in and try to appreciate the fact that it could be, and was, a lot worse!

CharlieBubbles88 · 19/03/2022 22:02

@swallowedAfly I couldn't agree more. Im 34 and spent my 'youth' being so self conscious to the point I couldn't go on a night out without being half cut. Im finally learning to like myself. It's a lot and would probably take up many pages, but im finally starting to like myself inside and out, and it's very freeing
I've already lost my dad, brother, and my Nan I was extremely close to to name a few. My mum had cancer, is in remission and straight after got diagnosed with a life limiting terminal illness. This isn't a poor me post, but it's really made me to put things into context, and prioritise health, fitness, strength and happiness. Defo not there yet, but I'm making progress!

CharlieBubbles88 · 19/03/2022 22:04

Also I guess it's good they are big! Can you sell them on or give them a new home? Those two pieces are lovely and very flattering. Fingers crossed!

swallowedAfly · 20/03/2022 08:43

Thanks Charlie - yes I can pass them on.

Well I seem to be having a whoosh - I've had this before where I've seemed stuck for 2 or 3 months then it just falls off but I'm still thinking hmm maybe my scales have gone wrong lol.

11st7 this morning allegedly. Reviewing my graphs on fitbit and my weight loss pattern is pretty mental and JS is not wrong when he talks about all this. It takes a long time to start to feel comfortable with sticking points and just keep going rather than thinking it's all over and you have to change everything but with coming up for two years of this under my belt I have plenty of data and experience to lean on.

Dare I believe I might make it to my next goal of healthy bmi by the time I go away? Hard to believe this weight will stick but fingers crossed.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 20/03/2022 08:49

Cheering you on!! Star

Octopus37 · 20/03/2022 09:51

That's fantastic @swallowedAfly, you've done so well

I went out with my bestie last night, so 9st3.25 this morning, typical pattern. Hoping to do a bit better all round this week. It was the 20th anniversary of my Mum's death yesterday so I've been a bit all over the place. Onwards and downwards, hopefully

LBB2020 · 20/03/2022 22:24

You’re doing amazing @swallowedAfly!
I had a lovely afternoon out with a friend yesterday, too much food and a couple of glasses of fizz! Was just what I needed! Spent today at home not feeling great, DH took the children out so I was able to catch up on some sleep and housework.
Will weigh tomorrow morning

LBB2020 · 21/03/2022 06:53

10st11lbs this morning, -1lb
Was hoping for more but it’s a lb in the right direction Smile

Octopus37 · 21/03/2022 08:07

Well done @LBB2020.

I didn't weigh in today. Glad that the weather's getting better cause it motivates me to walk a bit more.

QueenMabby · 21/03/2022 12:28

Morning all. Well done @LBB2020 on your loss.
V unproductive day so far. Bad night's sleep and it feels like someone's glued my eyelids together!
Will try not to snack. Had a pretty heavy weekend - weekends are my downfall. I'm out of routine and everything seems to go to pot!
Next weigh in for me is Wednesday. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

LBB2020 · 21/03/2022 12:43

Thank you Smile

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 21/03/2022 13:51

10/6 today but I am struck down with lurgy feeling ghastly and can’t smell/taste. Lateral flows are negative, let’s see what PCR says. Hope everyone is okay.

Octopus37 · 21/03/2022 14:39

@Judystilldreamsofhorses o no, hope you are ok. Take care

QueenMabby · 21/03/2022 17:21

Oh no @Judystilldreamsofhorses - poor you. Hope you don't feel too poorly. Well done on being 10/6 though!

LBB2020 · 21/03/2022 22:41

Hope you’re feeling better soon @Judystilldreamsofhorses

Octopus37 · 22/03/2022 07:41

Weighed this morning, back down to 9st1.75. Just had two crumpets with almond butter for my breakfast, yum.

OP posts:
QueenMabby · 22/03/2022 09:09

Definitely envy you the crumpets @Octopus37 not so much the almond butter though - just not a fan. Would totally have with peanut butter though - I even have pb in my porridge....

swallowedAfly · 22/03/2022 09:23

Well done Octopus and LB. Hope you're ok Judy.

11:6.6 today. It had bounced up a bit yesterday but back down to a new low today. Next goal only 1.6lbs away where I'll be back in the normal/healthy range of bmi.

Will have to decide what my next goal is after that. Probably 10:7.

Keep the faith everyone.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 22/03/2022 14:43

I have covid. Let’s hope not being able to taste stops me eating!
