Here is the new thread for tomorrow.

I am taking my starting weight as the weight as yesterday's weight, 9st1.75, same as beginning of February. Its been a bit of a tricky month for various reasons, so hoping to do a bit better in March.

Yesterday was another ok day. Food good, not enough steps or water.
I weighed this morning, 10st12lb Sad I was 10st9lbs in February so that’s annoying but not as bad as I thought

Octopus37 · 16/03/2022 11:47

@QueenMabby I bet its water or hormones and will go again in a few days, as mine did last week. You are right though, perimenopause sucks.

@DirtOnThePlough had forgotten how lovely oat cakes are, I may have to buy some.

@Octopus37 I eat so many but it's instead of bread and hopefully much healthier. I like the Nairns fine milled ones. I've bought some of their biscuits today and they are nice. Oats are just more satisfying than wheat flour based crackers and biscuits.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 16/03/2022 16:36

10/7 here today but have been out for a lovely lunch with my friend so 🙄. I have felt really snacky in the evenings this week which isn’t like me really - I think it is just being home alone. I bought some packs of popcorn which I am hoping will hit the spot.

@LBB2020 I saw someone online (a famous, but I can’t remember who) taking about weight and the “9lb fluctuation zone” the other day. She is a slim person and I found that quite comforting. 9lb does seem quite a lot though - you would definitely notice that - so 3lb is nothing!

LBB2020 · 16/03/2022 16:41

Thanks @Judystilldreamsofhorses that’s made me feel better! TMI but I’ve just come on my period so maybe I can blame it on that?! (still all over the place due to breastfeeding).
I might have to add some oatcakes to our shopping this week too @DirtOnThePlough

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 16/03/2022 17:09

I just remembered it was Sali Hughes, the beauty journalist/influencer, who is really petite and beautiful, @LBB2020 - I think the context was about how she stays so slim/what her diet is like.

CharlieBubbles88 · 16/03/2022 17:20

Rubbish day for me stepwise due to missing two breaks and my hours lunchtime walk. And now it's lashing down. I'm so all or nothing previously I would've dragged myself out in the rain, or berated myself. Instead I'm learning these things happen, life can get in the way, and in the grand scheme of things it's only one day. I've managed to hit 13k so it's not even that bad! Learning to change thought patterns is a game changer for me, but I'm still learning

swallowedAfly · 16/03/2022 22:30

How do you fit in so many steps? I've walked to work and back twice (had to nip home at lunchtime for books I'd forgotten) and walked around work and up and down 3 flights of stairs between lessons and have done less than half of that Charlie.

Should have burnt about 1850 cals by end of today which is quite good for me these days and haven't done badly on food. May the scales fairies be kind in the morning!

Day off tomorrow but I have plenty to do around the house so will try and keep moving and if it isn't pissing down with rain I'll try and take the dog for a bit more of a walk.

Sweet dreams everyone.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 16/03/2022 23:21

@swallowedAfly are you using your phone to track steps, or a wearable thing? I chalked up almost 10k steps on my Fitbit on Monday without leaving the house, but if I was using Apple Health or whatever it’s called on my phone it would be much less because I am not usually carrying it. On a day in work I tend to do about 16,000 between walking there and back, and then around the building/wandering around while teaching.

swallowedAfly · 17/03/2022 00:37

Fitbit Judy. I live pretty close to school though.

Octopus37 · 17/03/2022 07:31

Know what you mean about steps. I'm finding it harder these days, I used to manage to fit in a lot more.

No weigh in for me today. Off to do my online shop and order oatcakes now.

DirtOnThePlough · 17/03/2022 07:36

I love my Fitbit and there was a thread for Fitbit friends ages ago. We do challenges and bingo, it's good fun. I got the bus back up the hill from school yesterday so I only did 18000 steps.
66kg this morning.
Have a great day everyone!

LBB2020 · 17/03/2022 07:45

No more work for me this week so hopefully will get more steps in the rest of the week, the weather looks like it should be sunny too! I’ll weigh again tomorrow

CharlieBubbles88 · 17/03/2022 10:30

I walk 30 minutes to work and same home. Plus we get 2-4 ten minute breaks so a few of us squeeze a really fast walk round the block in! Then I do a full hour at lunch and depending on time/weather I might tag another half hour onto my walk home. Then steps round the office etc. I do make a conscious effort but it's really nice to catch up and get out of the office a few times a day so it doesn't seem like a chore. Appreciate I'm lucky to be able to do it though

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 17/03/2022 19:13

10/7 this morning. I also have a 30 minute walk each way for work. Today I am on 15,000 steps after work and a few errands, that will probably be at 17,000ish by the time I go to bed.

LBB2020 · 18/03/2022 07:21

No weigh in for me today (waiting until my period ends). Ok day yesterday but really need to drink more water!
I went to a friends house yesterday and managed to stay away from the cakes and biscuits she put out! I’m out for lunch tomorrow with a friend so will try to be sensible but I don’t go out without the children often so I’m going to relax and enjoy it!

DirtOnThePlough · 18/03/2022 07:34

65.9kg this morning and heading in the right direction. I'm glad it's Friday and that the sun is shining. Have a great day everyone!

Octopus37 · 18/03/2022 07:39

Yes @LBB2020 you deserve to relax, child free time with friends is precious.

9st1.75 here, thought I'd be a lot more this morning as I'm eating a lot of carbs at the moment. Managed over 12,000 yesterday though.

Weigh in tomorrow. Good start today, yoga, arms and skincare done. Wash on, bed stripped and changed. Off for a sunny walk to work!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 18/03/2022 16:59

10/7 again today and 10k steps already done. So glad it’s the weekend!

swallowedAfly · 19/03/2022 07:45

Morning. 11:9.4 for me today which is a new low. Just over 2 weeks till I go away. Must brave trying on swimwear today - I've no idea if I've got anything that actually fits.

CharlieBubbles88 · 19/03/2022 08:16

Morning all! @swallowedAfly I don't even own any!
.8 gain this week but I don't think it's fat as I've been really good and feel slimmer. I'm having terrible toilet trouble, even after taking a laxative, so it must be that. Not going to let it bother me as I'm sticking with everything. Monday will be a month of doing yoga both morning and evening. The toning difference it has made is insane

Octopus37 · 19/03/2022 08:21

Wow @swallowedAfly that's fantastic, bet you cannot wait for your holiday.

Sorry you're feeling so uncomfortable @CharlieBubbles88. I'm guessing you've tried all the usual foods. Sometimes a bit of alcohol (especially cider can help).

No weigh in for me, steps good yesterday but food not really.

OP posts:
HeyGirlHeyBoy · 19/03/2022 08:46

Well done to those doing well, and everyone else too! Charlie, what do you do for arms specifically please? IswallowedaFly, amazing! Delighted for you. I am in a very bad place with food and have hit rock bottom, as has my energy level Sad Continuing to do well with exercise. Will do best to do better today. Everything crossed.

swallowedAfly · 19/03/2022 12:46

Ha, I'm actually a bit panicked. I still have two weeks of work to go and have lots to do there plus a new role to apply for and I have to somehow turn around my pit of a house so it's fit for my nephew to stay here and look after the animals whilst we're away. Also rather panicked about swimwear and the state of my body. I'd love not to care but I've never been able to achieve that.

You know how you see larger women wearing bikinis and looking comfortable and confident? I wish I could be like that but sadly it's not me. Even sun dresses make me feel eww at the moment because of the state of my upper arms. Add to that being as white as a ghost from nearly 3 years without a holiday and it's not a pretty sight. I have started taking good care of my feet now though ready for exposure lol.

Charlie - I bought some when I was bigger and had booked to be away for the whole of the summer holidays but then Egypt was put on red list and flights cancelled. I couldn't face trying them on then and now they may be too big - can't remember what size I bought. Still not braved finding where I've put them and trying them on.
