Here is the new thread for tomorrow.

I am taking my starting weight as the weight as yesterday's weight, 9st1.75, same as beginning of February. Its been a bit of a tricky month for various reasons, so hoping to do a bit better in March.

Obviously I also hope Gavin is having a nice time too. 😂

Octopus37 · 13/03/2022 08:54

That's fantastic @CharlieBubbles88.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend, including Gavin lol

I've been awol. Period, ds's birthday and celebrations, ofsted (for which the school keeps us going with fancy biscuits and stodgy carb free meals after school that I didn't resist) and general exhaustion.

I'm back up to 11:12.8. My intentions to be down to my next goal (which was 11:4 which puts me back in the healthy bmi range) by the time I go to Egypt at the beginning of April are not looking very realistic. I guess it's possible but I've not got much faith in my ability to lose at the minute - seem to have just been bouncing around the same point so far this year but reminding myself I've had points like that before in my weight loss journey and eventually gotten going again.

Doing well on water, being strict on getting my 2 litres a day. Just need to get back on the wagon and see some progress.

Huge well done on the still not smoking Judy - I've forgotten everything else I wanted to say to people sorry.

swallowedAfly · 13/03/2022 11:20

Not carb free meals as I wrote it - very carby meals and free. I find it hard to resist free food at the end of a busy stressful day.

CharlieBubbles88 · 13/03/2022 13:30

@swallowedAfly I know what you mean about free food, especially if it will go to waste. I'm someone who will eat despite being full rather than it go in the bin. Can you treat tomorrow as a fresh start? Mondays always seem easier somehow

swallowedAfly · 13/03/2022 13:54

I've already started. I had arranged to go out for lunch with a friend yesterday so went ahead with that but stopped any calorie intake by 8pm last night and am on just black coffee and water so far today. Kicking off with a decent fast. 18hrs so far.

Generally I can resist and happily ignore cake and biscuits etc in the staffroom but I felt I deserved to treat myself during Ofsted lol.

9st2.25 this morning, had a bit of a lazy day yesterday.

OP posts:
QueenMabby · 14/03/2022 16:06

Me too @Octopus37. Have tried to make up for it today though. No gym but dh has a day off so we've been doing jobs in the garden.
Hope everyone is well. Trying to keep to a healthy diet but another meal out tonight and went out for coffee and cake with dh earlier.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 14/03/2022 17:25

9st 6.5 Sad 4.5lbs up in 3 weeks... V frustrated with myself but logging it and continuing to try. Exercise and meals are good. Water intake is good. Sleep better than it was.
Logging today
Berries, yoghurt and cappuccino
Soup, pitta and mandarin
Slice hm coffee cake
Roast chicken and veg
Walk this evening

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 14/03/2022 17:44

Happy Monday everyone. 10/8 here today but have had a good day food wise. Day 29 smoke free!

QueenMabby · 14/03/2022 17:53

@HeyGirlHeyBoy - HM coffee cake?? That's my favourite I'm very jealous!

@Judystilldreamsofhorses - well done. You're doing fantastically well. Is it hard? Have never smoked so not something I've had to go through.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 14/03/2022 22:48

Thanks @QueenMabby! I wish I had never smoked, I didn’t even start until uni. I am doing a smoking cessation programme with Boots so I have patches, plus I am vaping which is not part of that, but takes care of the sitting outside in the garden with a cigarette habit. I barely know anyone who smokes now so I felt like the last raver at the party, and it had to go. I have bought a lot of clothes since stopping because I have saved a bomb.

LBB2020 · 14/03/2022 22:57

I’m back on the wagon today! Food was good, not enough water or steps (WFH) but it feels nice going to bed not feeling bloated and disappointed with myself!
DH and I are looking into joining a gym as we find it hard to motivate ourselves to exercise at home, pre children I loved the gym and was there 5/6 times a week….how times have changed Grin
29 days is amazing @Judystilldreamsofhorses!

Octopus37 · 15/03/2022 07:46

Well done @LBB2020. No weigh in for me today.

Mega pissed off this morning. Was possibly going to meet my Sister for a day in Birmingham on Sunday (not definite, she is quite flaky at the best of times tbh, although she has hurt her shoulder which I totally understand, but probably would have gone on my own. Birmingham half way point for both of us, also I went to uni there and haven't been back for a long time. More importantly its 20 years since my Mum died on Saturday so that was part of the reason I wanted to do something, not memorial exactly I know.

DH and DS1 are going to football, its an unscheduled match. Means that DS2 and I will be at home, he never wants to do anything and is too young to be left longer than a couple of hours. Its times like this when I really feel that Mums get the worst deal, I would rather be a Dad. Know I'm being a bit irrational, just needed to vent

OP posts:
LBB2020 · 15/03/2022 08:48

Oh that’s rubbish @Octopus37! Is there no way he could go with your DH? I know exactly what you mean though, my DH is brilliant and very hands on but it usually falls to me to shuffle round my plans to suit the children.
It’s a beautiful sunny morning here but I’m WFH so will be stuck inside, will try to get out later after I’ve collected the children

QueenMabby · 15/03/2022 08:53

@Octopus37 - on the assumption that your plans were made first I'd be telling "d"h that you assume that dc2 will be going with him and dc1 or that he's sorting out some child care! 🤬🤬🤬

Octopus37 · 15/03/2022 17:19

Thanks ladies, apologies for the winge earlier. I'm going the following Saturday now. He did apologise. Know other people have it far harder logistically.

OP posts:
CharlieBubbles88 · 15/03/2022 17:59

It's so frustrating when plans go awry!
How is everyone getting on?
Cauli rice risotto was a success. Needs tweaking a bit but it wasn't bad at all! Steak, creamy garlic mushrooms, cauli mash and asparagus tonight. Under 500 cal too

Morning.

11:10.4 - which is back to my lowest. Fingers crossed I can continue losing this time. I was this weight at end of February. No birthdays or Ofsted or period looming so may be in with a chance.

CharlieBubbles88 · 16/03/2022 07:11

Sometimes the scales don't reflect the changes. Sounds like you are leaner and stronger and as far as I'm concerned that's more important than a number
I know what you mean. I was trying to have super low cal dinners but now I've got such a repertoire it's almost hard to decide. I also don't count at weekends. But I've got to a place where I'm actually enjoying it.

Octopus37 · 16/03/2022 07:29

Well done @swallowedAfly. 9st2.25 this morning, steps ok, food not too too bad yesterday. I was out and about a lot so not enough water. I'm going to be working pretty hard over the next few weeks, cause I've just paid to have a voice reel done in couple of weeks, I'm trying to get into voiceover work. Generally, when I'm running around a bit more it helps the number on the scales so we'll see.

OP posts:
QueenMabby · 16/03/2022 07:35

9st 13.2lb this morning. How have I put on THREE POINDS in a week???

I've continued my IF, not over eaten. A couple of biscuits this week but not equating to an extra 10,500 over the week - probably not even 150 cal!!

Am so cross. Bloody perimenopause.

Hope everyone else is doing well!

DirtOnThePlough · 16/03/2022 07:48

Morning all and well done to everyone!
My period arrived with lots of pain yesterday so no way and I weighing for the next week. My diet consists mainly of oatcakes. I tried them with red pepper hummus yesterday for dinner. I prefer jam and butter. I'll buy some nut butter today and have that with jam instead.
Have a great day!
