Here is the new thread for tomorrow.

I am taking my starting weight as the weight as yesterday's weight, 9st1.75, same as beginning of February. Its been a bit of a tricky month for various reasons, so hoping to do a bit better in March.

I really must weigh myself but I'm stupidly scared of doing so. The batteries are dead but I do have some to replace them.
I want to get to a weight and shake where I feel comfortable in summer clothes. I've found one of those exercise roller things at work and think I'll borrow it.

Angliski · 07/03/2022 08:38

@DirtOnThePlough can you add a big pile of steamed green veg? I’m one who has to take all flour and sugar and grains out to lose weight. I find a big pile of veggies really help with the hunger…

DirOnThePlough · 07/03/2022 09:52

If I didn't eat any grains I'd struggle to eat anything. I'm veggie and it's difficult enough.
I've been brave and put new batteries in the scales 68kg fully clothes in jeans and hoodie, vest too and T-shirt and trainers and after a pint of tea and lovely oat cakes so maybe 65kg actual body weight? I expected to be over 70kg naked and empty so I'm relieved.

66.9kg in pjs this morning and after a chippy tea last night. Not great but not too bad.
Hope everyone has a great day. Don't forget the magic water!

Octopus37 · 08/03/2022 07:27

Thanks @Allaboutthebooks, I'm not eating that well, just aiming for a bit less, ie managing to not have a snack in the evening after eating a bit plate of pasta for my tea. I did well with water and steps though yesterday and ws 9st3.5.

OP posts:
Octopus37 · 09/03/2022 07:34

9st2.5 yesterday, ate much too much sweet stuff, but managed to not eat in the evening again although I was tempted. Also managed good steps. Think, it was probably water and hormones. Hope everyone is doing ok.

OP posts:
QueenMabby · 09/03/2022 07:42

Getting there @Octopus37 - water eight and hormones have a lot to answer for!

A loss to report this week for me! Last Tuesday (1st) I was 9st 12.4lb. I did a sneaky weigh in the day after as my usual weigh in day is Wednesday and I was 9st 11.2lb and today.......

DRUMROLL.........

9st 10.2lb. 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Am v chuffed. Just got to not reward myself with food now otherwise I'll be straight back up again! Am keen to see that pound value in single figures. Maybe next week??

Hope everyone is having a good week.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 09/03/2022 08:22

Hurray Queen Star Well done!

I have been a little MIA. Period week plus I'm afraid some overeating Sad Last few days have gone back to my old way of eating plenty of good stuff and is definitely sorts the cravings, physically anyway!! Life a little hard ar rhe moment and don't want to fall on an unhelpful crutch..
Hot lemon water
ONO with cappuccino
Carrot and chickpea soup with 2 slices soda bread, mandarin
Dinner is chilli most likely. An hour of tennis later.
And... Gallons of water!
Have a good day all.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 09/03/2022 10:56

Hello, I have stayed off the scales but weighed today - 10/7. DP is away with work most of next week so my plan is soup for lunch and then a calorie counted micro meal for dinners - I know that is awful but I hate cooking for one! I am far less likely to snack while he isn’t around tempting me too.

Day 24 of no smoking here too!

Hope everyone is having a good week.

Everyone is doing so well!
66kg this morning. Not too bad. Not as bad as I feared. That's my true weight so I know where I am exactly and where I'm going now.
Have a great day everyone!

Octopus37 · 10/03/2022 07:40

Well done @QueenMabby, @DirtOnThePlough, @Allaboutthebooks and @Judystilldreamsofhorses, day 24 is amazing.

Sorry life's a bit hard at the moment @HeyGirlHeyBoy, you still sound as if you are doing really well, take care of yourself. 9st2 here this morning

LBB2020 · 10/03/2022 08:05

Good morning all, I’ve been avoiding this thread and the scales as I’ve gone completely off track and can’t seem to get my head back in the game. It seems I’m not the only one finding it hard at the moment though! I turn 40 in a few months and really would like to be down to at least 10st by then (which is still heavier than my ideal), I’ve not weighed for a few weeks but imagine I must have around a stone to shift. It should be doable at 1lb per week but it feels like such a lot and I’m disappointed I’ve let myself get to this point Sad
Anyway, no point dwelling I just need to get on with it!
Hope everyone is well

Octopus37 · 10/03/2022 11:52

@LBB2020 hang on in there, you'll get to where you want to be, be kind to yourself. As I've said before, I think you're amazing for being able to engage at all with weight loss when you've got young kids. Hopefully the weather will pick up soon and we'll all feel a bit brighter.

OP posts:
LBB2020 · 10/03/2022 12:29

Thank you @Octopus37, DS2 isn’t sleeping well again at the moment I think he’s teething (we were up from 12:30 until 4am last night Hmm) and during the day I just want quick fix sugary boosts! It’s lovely and sunny here today and I’m off work so took the children for a walk and to the park, the nicer weather definitely makes a difference!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 10/03/2022 19:36

@LBB2020 I had a sugary day today after a really awful night sleep - I can’t even imagine with a teething baby, I’d need a Coca Cola drip.

10/7 here and 15,000 steps. 25 smoke free days!

QueenMabby · 10/03/2022 20:30

Sleep is such an important thing. Like others if I've had a bad night I spend all day reaching for sugary carbs to try and boost my energy.

I do try really hard to be in bed between 10 and 10.30 and lights off before 11. I need to read before I sleep so have made that part of my routine. Making healthy choices is so much easier after a good night but it's v hard with little ones. Mine are older so they at least don't bother me at night.

Well done @Judystilldreamsofhorses - 25 days is fantastic!

Octopus37 · 11/03/2022 07:28

Agree about the sleep, I'm another one who goes even madder for sugar when I've not had enough sleep.

9st1.25 this morning, didn't do many steps yesterday. Haven't felt great tbh, weird lurgy, not COVID though, going to push through it today, hopefully it will go. Had GP phone appointment for my HRT yesterday, have been referred for a pelvic scan just to check things out. Glad its Friday.

OP posts:
LBB2020 · 11/03/2022 08:20

You are doing amazing @Judystilldreamsofhorses!
Sleep or lack of makes such a difference doesn’t it! DS1 was always a brilliant sleeper so DS2 has been a huge shock to the system! Although they switched last night and DS1 was up with upset stomach in the night bless him (it’s awful when he’s unwell as he doesn’t have the words to tell us what’s wrong Sad).
Hope you’re feeling better soon @Octopus37. I did manage to get my steps in yesterday but food wasn’t great (and I’ve broken lent and eaten chocolate Blush)

CharlieBubbles88 · 12/03/2022 09:19

Sorry I've not been on, need to catch up!
3lb loss again last week and 2.6 this week. 15lb since 8th Jan
I did get here in Aug last year. Lost 40lb in 3-4 months so is doable! Now back at my pre Xmas/birthday/going a bit mad for boyfriends 40th weight Grin
Off to do my yoga, will catch up on posts this afternoon

Octopus37 · 12/03/2022 09:41

Wow that's amazing @CharlieBubbles88. Do you mind me asking what your goal weight is?

Thanks @LBB2020 feel as if I have some weird lurgy, not covid, but think I'm a bit better today. Hope your DS is better. Good steps yesterday, food not ideal but could have been worse, 9st1.34 this morning so I've kind of balanced out from last weekend which I'm pleased about.

OP posts:
CharlieBubbles88 · 12/03/2022 16:04

@Octopus37 I actually hit my goal weight last week which is 119lbs. However I weigh in Saturday mornings and don’t calorie count over the weekend. Now it’s maintenance and toning but if I do lose I know I can have a bit of fun and not worry at the weekend. If I go up I just cut back a little bit. I must stress this is what works for me, everyone is different and I’m happy with low cal in the week

I’m trying to play around with interesting low cal yet filling meals. If anyone has any tips, tricks or suggestions please share, I’m trying cauliflower rice risotto next week 😁

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 12/03/2022 18:50

Excellent work @CharlieBubbles88 @Octopus37!

10/7 here today. DP flies out early doors tomorrow and is back late next Saturday so he won’t be around to tempt me with snacks. I do have lunches out with friends though, I figured I needed company since I am still 50% WFH.

Hope everyone is Gavin a lovely weekend.
