So … anyone want to join me?

1lb a week. So no pressure. There may be some weeks we don’t lose but then we may lose 2 the next week. Achievable.

I’ve just gone through my phone and if I lose 1lb a week, every week … I’ll be 9 stone by 24 October!

I’ve failed in the past because I have been too rigid and then broken it. So this time I’m deliberately going for slow.

Start weight - 12 stone.

well done @rubytubeytubes ! Half a pound a week is still night on 2 stone in a year!

I am hoping to put my 1 lb loss behind me and get abck down by MOnday. Sadly though I am attending a wine and cheese party tomorrow night. Hmm

@ButWhereDidTheWindComeFrom, oohhh, wine n cheese my downfall. I could have a fridge full of chocolate and I wouldn't touch any, but cheese n wine I hear calling my name. In fact, in an ideal world, I would live on cheese, crackers and wine. I should devise my own diet. Anyway, just do what you can. @BelladiMamma, that's good. You're feeling lighter - non scale victories are important. @rubytubeytubes, it was a loss ! Better than the other way. I bet if you keep going, it will soon catch up. @Nutrigrainygoodness, hi 👋. I think we all start with good intentions then fall. If it were easy, we'd be a slim society. Alas, we're not ! You've lost 7lb in 2 weeks ?! That's brilliant. Well done 👏. You can get to your target by June. Even if, like you say, you're close to it. That would be amazing.
I've had a good last few days so I'm pleased. I know I'm off plan tomorrow but this is why I want to take it slowly. I'm not staying in and being miserable. Life's for living! Smile

Thanks @Lemonweightloss I think the scales are up to something dodgy though. They will let me think I'm doing well for a while then they'll go "ha! we were just joking you've actually gained" 😑 so we will see.

@BelladiMamma, well, it's ok. I actually had the same Tuesday. Thought I'd had a good week. Was expecting a pound at least but I stayed the same. Just keep doing your best. It will happen. Don't forget you're feeling lighter, and clothes feel looser.

I’m exactly the same weight as I was on 1st Jan. I’ve not lost a single pound. 1570 calories as I’ve quite a lot to lose and I’m talk. Fairly active. I’m following a low blood sugar way of eating, no ultra processed food and have drastically cut down on wheat.

It’s really starting to get me down now.

I have PCOS and suffering with periodic stress and insomnia.

I would like to join you, but I have yet to pluck up the courage the nget in the scales. When I do, I will be back. I need to sort myself out before summer so that I can fit in to my clothes and move with ease and not feel so self conscious of my belly all of the time.

Morning all ! For those who are a tad disappointed, I would say just plod on. It is disheartening, especially when you're trying hard. But the alternative is to give up and go back and that would be worse.
Also, we need to give it time. It doesn't happen overnight I guess. Lots of variables at play. @DSGR, well done. You're on the right track.

Can I join please?I really need to do something as my weight is slowly increasing.
Weight on 16th Jan was 12st 9lbs, I will weigh myself in the morning to see what I am now although I have a funny feeling i've put on.
Im rubbish at counting calories so i'm aiming to cut down on my snacking&portion sizes.

I'm 13st 4 and desperate to get under 13st !! I'll weigh Tuesday but the best I can hope for is a pound off I think. After weighing Tuesday I'm going to try really hard 😅 ( am laughing cos I say this every week)
I count calories but I know what you mean. End up feeling like Carol bloody Vorderman. I'm starting IF too as when I've done it before, I've noticed a difference.

Thanks @Lemonweightloss, AF is due so im hoping its more bloating lol. My weigh in day will either be a Saturday or a Sunday. I say every week that i'm going to try hard, I do well for a few days then completely loose it again 🙈

Really pleased as I lost 2.7lbs! Seems a bit of a fluke as definitely gone off track a few times this wk, but I guess it’s water weight. I’ll take it, anyway!

Total loss for January - 8.4lb (including some initial water weight!)

Weigh in today. Am 13stone 6 (& quarter) so another lb lost. Happy with that but know I could be eating less bread so going to change that this week and see how that goes. Hope everyone else is doing ok.

May I join you? As of this morning I'm 18st 10lb, and I'm aiming for a final weight of 11st.

I'm planning on breaking up my goal into 1st increments, to keep me motivated. Maybe I can treat myself after each one? Nothing big, maybe just something non food related to make me smile.

I'm a bit apprehensive about weigh in tomorrow but I'm trying to not be !! I don't know what it is with me and weigh ins. Even when I've had a great week, I get anxious. I think I'm scared of my reaction if I've put on...yet, I have no form for this. I just carry on - always!

Morning, I did not lose or gain yesterday. I decided that the biggest issue I have is wine in the evenings. i have a couple of glasses (with whatever cals are in that) then eat the entire contents of the fridge.

So I am now committing myself to nothing else for the month of february to just drinking zero cal drinks. Water and lemon juice and herbal teas and black coffee. That is the only thing I will do and I will see what happens at that point. (Darnit. I am away from tomorrow for work and usually love having a glass of wine in a hotel bath without kids banging on the door!). But needs must.

:) Onwards!
