1lb a week …

So … anyone want to join me?

1lb a week. So no pressure. There may be some weeks we don’t lose but then we may lose 2 the next week. Achievable.

I’ve just gone through my phone and if I lose 1lb a week, every week … I’ll be 9 stone by 24 October!

I’ve failed in the past because I have been too rigid and then broken it. So this time I’m deliberately going for slow.

Start weight - 12 stone.

I've noticed a pattern! I always have a slight gain on Mondays after the weekend.

I think the change in routine makes me eat more at home and then there's the occasional plans/meals out that equate to higher cal intake.

It's hard to keep track!

Lemonweightloss · 08/03/2022 12:47

@cdba88, hi there.
Can you change weigh day til say Wednesday? Weekends are a pain - or not ! I can be on it all week then fall apart at weekend. I've changed mine to Saturday morning. Get weighed then have a treat or three.

Minnie123456 · 12/03/2022 09:10

1/2 lb off this week. Managed to get out for a walk one morning before work, it was only half an hour but better than nothing. Going to try and go for a walk when im on the slightly later shift in work.

Lemonweightloss · 12/03/2022 10:07

Morning ! 2.5 off this week. Am pleased with that. I've worked hard though - gym etc

spagbog5 · 13/03/2022 09:59

1.5 lb off this week
Very happy with that
Well done everyone

Lemonweightloss · 13/03/2022 13:41

@spagbog5, well done, that's a good amount. I had wine last night and even though today I walked 14,000 steps, I've just had lunch and can now barely move 🤣
I'll get back on it tomorrow!
Mind you, that's what I like about aiming for a pound a week, it means you can still have a life ( and sticky toffee pudding and custard)

Amdone123 · 19/03/2022 11:53

Morning all ! How are we all doing? My phone went weird so I reregistered and I'm now under a former name. So this is my new name ; I am formerly Lemonweightloss.
I've lost 5lb this week. I'm surprised, pleased obviously. 12st 7 now, which I think was my target.
I'm going to aim for 12st for my holiday ( end of April so about 6 weeks).
I haven't been 12st since before Lockdown 1.
Hope you're all doing OK!

Minnie123456 · 20/03/2022 09:24

Wow well done @Amdone123 that's amazing. Well done also to everyone else.

1.5lbs off this week, i'm actually surprised. 4lbs to loose to enter the overweight category and 5lbs to hit 12 stone.

Amdone123 · 20/03/2022 22:17

Well done Minnie - that's good going. I'm in the zone atm so all good. I was like this before covid hit, then Lockdown (s), it all fell apart ! Also, used to love cooking, now I can hardly be bothered, so that helps !!
Had a bar of chocolate for tea today, oops.
I eat quite healthily on the whole !

BelladiMamma · 22/03/2022 17:04

I've still only lost 3 lbs but it seems to be staying off

I have Covid and no sense of taste so that's helping 🤪 as I'm not feeling so hungry

Amdone123 · 23/03/2022 07:28

That's great Bella, better off than on. It's hard when you're ill.

Minnie123456 · 27/03/2022 10:32

Another lb off. So far i've lost 7lbs although it doesn't feel like i've lost 1/2 a stone.

Got out for 4 walks this week 2x30mins, a 55 min walk and a 45 min walk, hoping to do around the same this week although the weather is meant to change so might not get out.

Amdone123 · 28/03/2022 19:27

That's good, Minnie. I weighed this morning...and put on 3lb. Thank god I lost that 5lb a couple of weeks ago.
I blame the weather as I sat in the garden for 2 days, eating and drinking like I was abroad.
I'm back to being sensible now. Only 5lb off to reach my initial target. And 10lb off to be the lowest (12st) I've been in a longgggg time.

Amdone123 · 29/03/2022 07:51

So, I started roughly 8 weeks ago, and realised I've lost 8lb, so, overall, good going !
It's not easy losing weight so to anybody who is losing, say, even half a pound a week, since we started, well done and keep going.
I reigned it in yesterday and felt the calorie deficit, but I didn't cave.
Today is walking, dance class and work, so I'm hoping for another great day.
I also have nothing in and can't really go shopping til Thursday - but that's probably a good thing. I only have myself to sort.

Minnie123456 · 29/03/2022 22:52

I agree @Amdone123 it's really hard, so much easier to put it on!!

I didn't get for my walk this morning, I couldn't force myself to get out of bed. Had a bit of a blip tonight had some biscuits&cake. Back on it tomorrow.

Minnie123456 · 03/04/2022 10:19

A lb on this week, knew it was going to happen as i've had a rubbish week. Back on it this week.

Amdone123 · 03/04/2022 17:34

@Minnie123456, same here - a gain of 3lb. But I know why !
I'm back on it tomorrow. I'm going away end of April and really only need to lose 7lb, but before that I've got a hen do and Easter weekend!
I'll just keep trying. I'm pleased with how I've done so far.

BelladiMamma · 09/04/2022 15:56

My scales have broken 🤣
Feel like this is a sign. I've lost a little weight but not as much as I wanted ...
