Afternoon All
@Nomoreusernames1244 that’s a fantastic result so far! Well done 👍 Sorry for my ignorance but what is the ‘mean plan’? Is that the name of it or have you nicknamed it that?
@Livinthedream84 welcome, joining this thread and planning to do exercise are both steps in the right direction!
You’re very welcome @NoodleSlurper 😊
@Midnightstar76 a warm welcome. Why not turn your thinking on its head … tell someone, perhaps get a life change buddy (helps in making you more accountable) and weigh in (that number keep to yourself if that makes it more comfortable) so you know how far you’ve gone when you get ‘there’ if that makes sense. Commitment, developing healthy routine habits, planning healthy menus and consistency will get you there.
@Teafirst a warm welcome. Sorry to read you’ve been I’ll with covid. Be gentle on yourself. Actually I think I’ll look Adrienne again, I used to follow her online yoga before. Love your username … I have to have my ‘tea first’ when I wake up 😬
@2022success you’re on it now which is brilliant. Try to break down your goal into mini goals so the end doesn’t seem such a huge task. Well done on chucking the snack stuff out! Remove the temptation. Good point about alcohol and it potentially leading to other problems. You’ve got this!
@GreenJulie planning really is important. Well done on writing your menu/shopping list and eating prior to super market 👍👏 That really will help with not buying on impulse. Well done getting a boxing class in 🥊
@buzzofthebumblebee welcome to the new thread, lovely to see you. You have done marvellously well so far and I’m positive you’ll get to your goal and maintain. Just keep doing what your doing 👍👏⭐️🏅TY for your kind words 😊
@LookslovelyinSpringtime welcome. I totally get the photo mortification. I had similar before my weight loss. OH was thinking of purchasing one of those MG Midget sports cars. Only small they are. He took a photo of me sitting in it. I was gobsmacked when I saw it. The scale of the small car made me look HUGE. Swimming is excellent and one of my favourite ways to exercise (although not going at the moment).
@SunshineCake1 Hope to see you soon. I’ll be thinking of you Friday❤️
@Infracat Do you have a plan/method? If you want that stone gone you’ll want to get into the right headspace and be consistent. To look at it another way, it’s far better/easier to see your stone gone than wait until it’s got ‘friends’ like I did. Imagine how you’d feel & look at your desired weight. How much more healthier & energised too. If you get on it now, this time next week 1 or 2lbs will be gone and you’ll be on your way.
Hi and welcome @rshard there are a few runners who post on these threads so your in good company. I eat lower carb, high protein and moderate fat. My way of eating has become second nature and it isn’t a struggle. TBH as I’m getting older my tastes are still evolving and I’m finding I’m favouring vegetarian meals. So vibrant. Good luck 🤞
@CommanderBurnham your menu looks tasty. I don’t know too much about whey. Personally I add lentils/beans etc to soups, chillis, salads etc to add extra protein and fibre. The tinned ones are really convenient, I just give them a rinse through a sieve before use.
Enjoy your evening.
