Here is the new thread. Thanks for the title @theHoneyBadger.

Weighed in at 8st12.5 this morning, 0.25 down from the beginning of August. No specific aim for me other than to eat a bit more healthily cause I've had a wierd lurgy the last few days, not covid have tested several times. Love September cause it always feels like a new beginning.

Oh yeh, I was meaning to ask. Is any one here my MIL one of those people who can't finish dessert because it's too rich? She's often saying this and I don't really have a clue what she's on about. The dessert in question was a hazlenut souffle at a posh restaurant. It wasn't a death by chocolate type dessert which people often say is rich. So I thought they meant sweet. Can anyone enlighten me? Any why does it wind me up?

FlatteredFool · 06/09/2021 21:03

@sparklyglitterball thank you. The first week is usually the best it seems. I doubt I'll be losing anything near that every week in future.
Welcome @OkyDoke I hope you enjoy the thread and find it supportive.

Once ds is settled I'm going to get on my gym ball.

FlatteredFool · 07/09/2021 06:46

64.65kg this morning. I know it's probably just water disappearing though.
Have a great day and enjoy the sunshine!

Octopus37 · 07/09/2021 07:07

Welcome @OkyDoke. Its lovely to see some sun. 8st13.25 this morning,

So I'm back from my weekend away and can't believe how much weight I've put on. I feel really depressed by it.

I need to spend this next week, walking more, eating less, doing my exercise classes. I'm surprised anything still fits me tbh

Sad
LadyDanburysHat · 07/09/2021 08:35

@listentomydeclaration excellent username btw. Some of the weight gain might just be temporary, as in your body is just full of food still.

@NutellaEllaElla periods are the worst. I struggle to keep calories down and to exercise.

I'm back to 11st 13.7 this morning. And I've realised that after losing 18lbs in total, I can finally see a difference from my before pictures. It has really made me feel better, and given me a push to keep going.

No gym tonight, but I do have my burlesque class and that can burn some calroies.

TheHoneyBadger · 07/09/2021 10:28

Hello. Sorry, I’ve been swamped with back to work tasks. I had a very tired, very hungry weekend but did well yesterday and am back at 13st. There was a momentary flicker of 12 something on the scales this morning.

Will try and get myself on the treadmill today and take it easy on food.

sparklyglitterball · 07/09/2021 19:42

Hey all, hope you're all ok and enjoying the heatwave. It's actually making me a little less hungry than usual which is good! I've done well food wise today. Fasted until lunch, which was a salad, a few nuts and grapes for a snack then spaghetti with homemade tomato sauce and veggie sausages. No doubt something sweet later this evening Smile

sparklyglitterball · 07/09/2021 19:43

@NutellaEllaElla that would wind me up too!! I can't imagine finding any chocolate dessert too rich tbh!

NutellaEllaElla · 07/09/2021 20:30

@listentomydeclaration - don't worry, it won't be fat gain. Mostly water. Just hop back on the wagon, drink lots of water and weight again in a few days.

What a beautiful mini heatwave we are having. Hope everyone is getting to enjoy it. Diet and exercise were fine for me today.

Gizzy93 · 08/09/2021 01:53

How's everyone going?

I did really well the last two days. I've made some bliss balls to snack on and keep me going through work (support worker in disability, so lots of physical work, and no time to eat meals!).

I actually feel really bloody good about this! I have tried losing weight for the last 5 years but don't remember feeling this motivated and this ready at all in that time.
Maybe it's because I know at the end of this, we can start trying for a baby, and I do want to have one so badly.

Been getting my exercise in with walking the dogs and playing games on my VR.
Unfortunately the dog walking isn't daily. I can't walk them by myself (the big one broke my ankle a few years ago!), and bother my DP and I are shift workers.

I did buy a cadence sensor for my exercise bike as there's a fitness game on VR that can connect to my VR and can ride anywhere in the world, I'm so excited for it!

TheHoneyBadger · 08/09/2021 06:14

Scales sdid the flickering for ages but settled on 13 bang on.

Work day today with lots of stairs and I’m going to make myself get on the treadmill just for 15 minutes in a bit. Not massively calorie burning but if I could make it a regular habit in the morning it’s another little boost to the metabolism.

FlatteredFool · 08/09/2021 07:08

Morning all. I don't like it this hot. It reached 28 here yesterday and our hills in this heat are not good. It sets off my asthma. I love the cooler yet bright days of autumn. I've not weighed today but will do tomorrow.
Have a great day and don't forget your water especially in this heat. I drank loads yesterday. Unfortunately loads of orange juice too but it really hit the spot.

Octopus37 · 08/09/2021 07:20

8sr13.5 this morning. Not doing that well at the moment. Its our wedding anniversary today, 20 years, so supposed to be going out for a meal later. Hope everyone carries on enjoying the sunshine.

Morning all. 11st 12.7 this morning. Feeling really positive this week, and I can finally see a change when I look in the mirror. It has taken a long time to not just see how far I still have to go, but to recognise my achievements so far.

Burlesque class was cancelled last night so my friend and I went to the pub instead. But we only had a diet coke each, so no diet upsets. Need another good day today before I go away for the night tomorrow.

Happy 20th anniversary @Octopus37. I hope you have a lovely day.

FlatteredFool · 08/09/2021 09:48

Happy anniversary Octopus! Hope you have a lovely meal.

Gizzy93 · 08/09/2021 12:08

Sounds like everyone had a good day, diet and exercise wise!
Congrats on the 20 years @Octopus37!

FlatteredFool · 08/09/2021 13:49

I'm not eating Maltesers and watching tv. Nope, not me. I feel a bit PMTish this week. I cried watching Grantchester yesterday and am feeling emotional in general. I promise to do better tomorrow.

drspouse · 08/09/2021 14:46

I lost you due to not being serious!
I'm on a Whatsapp group with some friends now that is keeping me motivated during the day. Lost and gained a couple of lb over the summer.
I'm also doing 2 weeks of Noom, it's too expensive to do more but it's only £1 for the first 2 weeks.

FlatteredFool · 08/09/2021 19:10

Today has been sugar loaded and not very energetic. It's been too hot to do much at all. Tomorrow will be more active and far less sugar.

FlatteredFool · 09/09/2021 07:04

I've gained weight. I'm not happy. It must be water though as I ate nothing of any substance yesterday.
Here's hoping it's cooler today. Have a great day everyone.

NutellaEllaElla · 09/09/2021 07:17

It'll be water from one day surely X
I've lost 1lb. It is good for this close to goal but I was hoping for more. Oh well I did go off the rails for almost the whole month, what can I expect. Losing weight is hard, gaining it is easy. That's how I got here.

Octopus37 · 09/09/2021 07:21

Thanks for the anniversary wishes everyone. Had a nice meal, Fish & Chips. Was massive though. I rarely cant eat everything but was defeated by this. 8st13.75 this morning. Meal aside, I generally feel v bloated at the moment, think its the heat, but I'm trying to drink lots of water.

Morning.

12:12.6 👀😎

Pretty certain it’ll fluctuate up again but yay for seeing 12. Well on my way to having lost 3 stone.

drspouse · 09/09/2021 08:24

Well done Honey!
