Here is the new thread. Thanks for the title @theHoneyBadger.

Weighed in at 8st12.5 this morning, 0.25 down from the beginning of August. No specific aim for me other than to eat a bit more healthily cause I've had a wierd lurgy the last few days, not covid have tested several times. Love September cause it always feels like a new beginning.

Enjoy the gym @TheHoneyBadger, hope your DS is feeling better soon

MoominFeatures · 28/09/2021 09:34

#balance

You nailed it, @LBB2020!

MoominFeatures · 28/09/2021 09:36

Omg just saw reference up-thread to fish and chips! Two things @ @TheHoneyBadger: (1) yummmmmmm; and (2) that actually perfectly illustrates @LBB2020’s balance point!!!

Have a great day, everyone x

8st12 this morning. Not enough steps yesterday. Have made that GP appointment for Thursday. Hope everyone has a good day

@Octopus37 @TheHoneyBadger hope your DSes are feeling better. @LBB2020 you are smashing the steps!

DS2 is back to school after Covid, and I made it back to the gym last night. Wasn't sure how I'd be, still have the last of my cold hanging on. But I think I was so happy to be back out of the house properly and I worked hard on my cardio. Feel so much better for it today. Food wasn't great again yesterday, but now I'm back at the gym I will hopefully be better.

Although the mention of fish and chips, we are having those on Friday night with MIL. Grin

LadyDanburysHat · 29/09/2021 09:18

Forgot to mention 11st 13.5 today, not deserved, expected higher.

LBB2020 · 29/09/2021 09:29

Glad you’ve got a GP appointment booked @Octopus37.
Well done on getting to the gym @LadyDanburysHat!
I didn’t have the best day yesterday and the weather was shocking so didn’t hit my steps. Today is a new day and I’m going to attempt an exercise video later! x

MoominFeatures · 29/09/2021 09:54

Morning everyone!

@Octopus37 Glad you’ve sorted your appointment - I hope it goes well and the GP provides some helpful advice.

@TheHoneyBadger Hope those of your family who’ve been poorly continue to recover speedily.

@LadyDanburysHat Wow at your motivation in spite of feeling slightly sub par! Bloody well done, and I reckon a less than perfect food record for a day plus gym is always going to be better that a leas than perfect food record withOUT the gym!!! I think your scales agree…and congratulations!

@LBB2020 Today is a new day. And tbf the weather yesterday was appalling so I can totally understand not wanting to go out in it!

Omg the fish and chips chat lingers - cue a little drool for the second day in a row…

I will weigh in shortly - just about to do a work call - and I think I’m a day late doing it, so apologies!

MoominFeatures · 29/09/2021 10:45

My number today is 59kg (so 9st 4lbs). I’m super-pleased with that ofc but think probably I need to slow things down and look again at my food to make sure I’m sensibly balancing out all the exercise I’m doing. I also realise now how utterly daft my fret was about my “massive steak” the other day - tbh I think I was too preoccupied with short term effect rather than the (as it turns out, nil) impact of that steak over a whole week! I guess I’m just trying so hard to stay committed and at the time I had (ridiculously, I now realise) thought I’d blown it a bit. Anyway, it’s all a learning curve!

Made it for a gentle swim yesterday and a tai chi class, so a much less strenuous gym session than some. Today I’ve got some light weights and a bit of cardio planned, followed by the first tonight of two consecutive boozy work dinners! Eeeeek!

Octopus37 · 30/09/2021 07:18

Thanks @MoominFeatures. I'm very impressed by all the exercise you fit in. You're right about balance though. 8st12.5 this morning.

Back to 12:12 today. Not surprised as I had a run in with some jaffa cakes last night.

May be going to the gym tonight. Feeling very tired and a bit sick this morning so will see how that pans out.

LBB2020 · 01/10/2021 07:29

I managed a short exercise video the past couple of days and also a walk but I haven’t been the best with food (went to visit my aunt who insisted I ate cakes!). I can’t believe it’s October already!
