Here is the new thread. Thanks for the title @theHoneyBadger.

Weighed in at 8st12.5 this morning, 0.25 down from the beginning of August. No specific aim for me other than to eat a bit more healthily cause I've had a wierd lurgy the last few days, not covid have tested several times. Love September cause it always feels like a new beginning.

Hi all, I'd like to join please Smile I'm
doing a version of 16:8, but basically it just involves skipping breakfast and trying to hold out until lunchtime......which is fine mostly when I keep busy. I tend to have a little treat once dc are in bed, but try to keep it under 200 calories ish. I also aim for 1500/600 calories per day, which I find easier to manage by not having breakfast. But weekends of socialising/booze/bbqs etc over the summer have meant Ive gained around 2kg, so aiming to get rid of that and hopefully lose another couple. Sounds like you're all making good progress for the new season!

NutellaEllaElla · 01/09/2021 20:51

Welcome sparkly.

Another good day. Busy busy at work so no time or access to snacks. Shock horror though, my local chippy is closing for a week! Shock We had agreed that we weren't having takeaway for a month but still. This takes away any glimmer of hope Grin

NutellaEllaElla · 01/09/2021 20:52

B: Yoghurt and OJ
L: Chicken soup
D: Spag bol
S: Cakey thing, meringue light cream and strawberries

FlatteredFool · 01/09/2021 22:14

I'm hungry and have a headache tonight so I guess that means my body has registered the drop in calories chocolate and will start burning off some lard soon. School run tomorrow-hurrah! My steps will start hitting 20k a day again after a slothful summer.

TheHoneyBadger · 02/09/2021 06:20

13st dead on today. Surely September is the month in which I'll see the back of the 13s?

Yay for removal of temptation for a week Nutella.

FlatteredFool · 02/09/2021 06:49

65.7kg this morning and looking forward to getting in 8000 steps by the time I get home from dropping off ds. Have a great day. Don't forget the magic water!

Octopus37 · 02/09/2021 07:41

Well done @TheHoneyBadger, September will be the month. @NutellaEllaElla dont know if I'd be pleased or upset about the chip shop being shut lol. Welcome @sparklyglitterball. @FlatteredFool enjoy the school run. Its been a funny summer, gone fast in some respects but slow in others. This is the first year for me that there are no school runs at all, although my friend and I wil be semi walking up with them tomorrow to start High School, so we can take photos from a distance lol. 8st12 this morning.

You've done so well maintaining the new weight zone Octopus! Glad it's stuck.

FlatteredFool · 02/09/2021 07:44

Ive reduced my muesli by 10g from 45g to 35g to see if that bothers me too much. I'm usually ravenous by 9.30am regardless of what I eat.

TheHoneyBadger · 02/09/2021 07:45

I seem to remember you despairing of ever getting under 9st for about a year Grin Thanks for always being encouraging by the way - it helps when it's a really long process like it was/is for me with the amount I had/have to lose.

TheHoneyBadger · 02/09/2021 07:46

Flattered muesli usually has a hell of a lot of sugar - could you switch to soaked oats with a tiny bit of honey instead? Think you'd potentially get a lot more bulk and fill factor for the same calories.

FlatteredFool · 02/09/2021 07:59

It is quite high in sugar but that's due to the dried fruit and I need the fibre Grin I'll probably get back into porridge soon but it's a faff. ONO don't appeal for some reason.

LBB2020 · 02/09/2021 08:18

Yesterday started well for me, I hit my steps and was on track with food. DS2 is under the weather (teething and coming down with a cold) and didn’t settle down for the night until almost 10pm, once he was finally down I raided the kitchen cupboards Blush I felt so ashamed and annoyed with myself. Today is a new day and I’m determined to stay on track!

LadyDanburysHat · 02/09/2021 08:59

Good morning all. @Octopus37 your weight is going well. Enjoy the first day back at school. I'm in Scotland so mine have been back for 3 weeks now.

@FlatteredFool I love my overnight oats. I have them really plain with some chia seeds for protein to stop me getting hungry.

12st 0.7 this morning. I didn't make it to the gym yesterday as I had a headache last night. But did do a lunchtime walk with a friend. Wil lbe at the gym tonight while DD does gymnastics.

FlatteredFool · 02/09/2021 10:04

9378 steps on the school run! We walked through the woods and sling the canal on the way. Love it

Sweetener12 · 02/09/2021 10:45

Looking forward to get back to 10K steps per day, didn't have chance to do that due to a minor ankle trauma. Thanks for the new thread!

FlatteredFool · 02/09/2021 12:27

I can sadly report that vegan Mexicana cheese is grim. I couldn't get any of the regular stuff. I had such high hopes for lunch today.

Octopus37 · 02/09/2021 17:15

Thanks @TheHoneyBadger and @LadyDanburysHat, although tbh think it has been more to do with going on HRT and stress, Everyone's encouragement has really helped me as well, even if its meant not giving up on the whole thing

NutellaEllaElla · 02/09/2021 19:13

Sad about the cheese but not surprising. I tried to convince DH to mix some veggie "meatballs" in with regular for our dinner but he's a stubborn mule and wasn't having any of it. We've got reduced fat cheddar though so we'll see how that goes.

Today's been a fine day food and drink wise for me. I've felt utterly exhausted though with awful lower back pain so no evening walk today unfortunately.

sparklyglitterball · 02/09/2021 19:47

Thanks for the welcome guys. I've had a reasonable day food wise, managed to stay below 1500 calories or thereabouts.......there's a certain amount of guesstimating I find using MFP. I haven't done any proper exercise today, but step count is above 11k from being on the go with the dc's. Planning a run in the morning.

sparklyglitterball · 02/09/2021 19:48

Hope you feel better tomorrow @NutellaEllaElla. I always find some gentle yoga helps relieve lower back pain......when I can get motivated to do it!

TheHoneyBadger · 03/09/2021 06:41

Weight up a bit today. We were given lunch yesterday and it was very carby so could be that but then I didn't eat in the evening so hoped it had balanced out. Did drink beer though.

Another day of INSET today but no lunch provided and I won't take anything. I did resist the morning pastries that were laid out and at lunch took a slab of rocky road but wrapped it in a serviette and brought it home to ds.

FlatteredFool · 03/09/2021 07:01

65.15kg this morning.

Hope your back feels better @NutellaEllaElla

Have a great day everyone!

NutellaEllaElla · 03/09/2021 07:25

I did a bit of Cat/Cow this morning and that felt nice so thanks for the prompt. Unfortunately that means I did wake with sore back and still have the exhaustion in my body. Weird.

NutellaEllaElla · 03/09/2021 07:26

@TheHoneyBadger Wow that restraint!!
