Sounds like a lovely weekend @WellTidy - I love a good wedding.

I'm absolutely delighted by my month end weigh in. I've lost 12.5lbs since New Year's Day and tipped below 9.5stone this morning.

I also took my end of month bra and pants photo and can see progress, but not as much as you'd think considering the loss on the scales.

purplegirl13 · 28/02/2022 11:17

Happy Monday!

I'm back for yet another fresh start, I'm still sore but it's manageable and I have most of my mobility back, although will be careful not to overdo it.

@neverenoughchelseaboots you're not having much luck this year with illness in the house! How's the return to work been? That is a very impressive weigh in for the month!
@WellTidy Hope you had a lovely weekend!

My weight is about the same as it was at the start of the year but I've had some good socialising going on, and I am ok with that.

Today:
B - cappuccino (with sugar)
L - tomato, red pepper & wensleydale soup (no bread)
D - www.recipetineats.com/stir-fried-green-beans-with-pork/ with rice

neverenoughchelseboots · 28/02/2022 14:15

Very glad to hear you're on the mind @purplegirl13

Has anyone tried the Fibre One bars? 90 calories and taste amazing. I've got the triple chocolate cake bars. Well worth a try for the sweet hit.

Knittingnanny2 · 01/03/2022 20:15

@Sooverthemill we are hopefully coming on Wednesday for our rearranged cottage in Suffolk holiday! Won’t meet up with you though as son in law has today tested positive for covid-again
I’m keeping all of my fingers crossed that the hug I gave him yesterday won’t stop me from going on my Singapore trip in 2 weeks!

Knittingnanny2 · 01/03/2022 20:16

But I’ll post a photo of us walking along your beach!

SwimmingOnEggshells · 02/03/2022 10:16

Hey everyone. I hope you're all keeping well.

I ate sooooo much chocolate on the weekend (one and a half bars of giant Dairy Milks Blush, but I'm back in the mode since Monday.

Monday and Tuesday were very sensible food days for me, no excess and had light lunches of soups on both days. Plus no gorges of chocolate in the evenings. Today, the plan is something similar - carrot soup for lunch, then dinner will be gnocchi with chorizo and tomato sauce.

I haven't been at a gym class in over a week because my knee has been kind of hurting, plus motivation has been zero.

Oooo - but I also bought a Ninja airfryer, I'm not sure if this was a very wise decision as I don't normally eat a lot of freezer food which I hope doesn't creep into my diet. But! I have been roasting my veg in it before making soup so that's been lovely. I also roasted tomatoes in it before I made a quiche yesterday.

Anyone any healthy airfryer recipes?

WellTidy · 02/03/2022 11:48

@SwimmingOnEggshells the only thing that I know does well in an air fryer is chips, so I’m not the person to ask! We don’t have one and I think if we were to get one, it would be like student days again when we’d come home from the pub and make chips in the deep fat fryer most nights Smile

Roast veg in them sounds great though, I would really like that.

I am down to 9st 10lb again, which is what I was last Friday morning prior to the celebrations over the weekend, Snd is my 2022 low. I don’t have any celebrations planned until Easter so I’m hoping to keep the focus. I am also walking at least five miles nearly every weekday and that is helping.

Plan for today -

Tzatziki, carrot batons and flatbread for lunch today
Small portion of chicken korma and rice for dinner
Two ginger biscuits mid afternoon

Morningmaeve · 02/03/2022 13:24

No airfryer suggestions from me either but roasted veg sounds good. There has been a bit too much eating and drinking going on here due to social events but life is quieter again for next few weeks so hopefully can undo the damage and make some progress

purplegirl13 · 02/03/2022 15:53

@neverenoughchelseaboots not sure I should try those Fibre One bars :)
@Knittingnanny2 wow, is it really only two weeks until your trip?! Here's hoping you avoided SIL's germs
@SwimmingOnEggshells Small steps, do what you can. No help on the airfryer front but I'm glad to hear you're not making chips every day (yet!)
@Morningmaeve good to see you back. Dare I ask if you've been doing c25k? and if not, do you fancy joining me in committing to a session soon??

I'm back to soups for lunch, and home cooked food (from freezer) for dinners

I have booked a 1:1 pilates lesson next week, with the view of doing a few before joining group classes led by the same instructor.

Knittingnanny2 · 02/03/2022 16:09

Yes we go in theory in 16 th
Currently stuck in traffic on A12 towards Ipswich! Stopped at a garage for a wee but trying to ignore the Mac Donald’s drive through !

purplegirl13 · 02/03/2022 16:35

@SwimmingOnEggshells I'd want to fry halloumi in the air fryer

SwimmingOnEggshells · 02/03/2022 16:55

wow @WellTidy and @neverenoughchelseaboots you're both making amazing progress!

Oooo @purplegirl13, great idea. I have a halloumi in the fridge. I might make it as a side for dinner this evening. I'm going to 'bake' the gnocci in the air fryer too :) I think I can let myself have cheese, I've been angelic today:

Coffee, banana, miso soup and two bowls of carrot soup which must have very few calories in it.

@purplegirl13 how's the arm/shoulder?

purplegirl13 · 02/03/2022 17:44

@SwimmingOnEggshells do it! Then come back and tell us how tasty it is. My shoulder is much better, slightly stiff but I'm pain free.

I love roasted gnocchi. So much nicer than boiling it.

I'm cold and tired but I'm resisting a takeaway. Dinner will be sausages mashed potato, and baked beans. Low effort.

Morningmaeve · 02/03/2022 18:00

@purplegirl13 No progress on the running - been away and I have to admit I am a fair weather runner and weather has been horrible! Am aiming to go out Saturday morning and repeat week 3 run I did a few weeks ago. Let's motivate each other but be sure it won't aggravate your shoulder

purplegirl13 · 02/03/2022 19:24

I'll be starting wk1, run 1 so it should be nice and gentle. I can barely jog 30s!

WellTidy · 03/03/2022 07:56

@Knittingnanny2 hope you have a lovely break

Enjoy the running for those that go Star - much respect

I am down 0.75lb to 9st 9.25lb today which I am delighted by. Five mile walk planned for this morning.

Food plan -
Breakfast/lunch - almond croissant (the great love of my life)
Dinner - jacket potato with tuna, runner beans and carrots
Snack mid afternoon - fruit salad and small oat latte

WellTidy · 03/03/2022 07:57

Please report back on in the air fryer dinner when you can @SwimmingOnEggshells!

purplegirl13 · 03/03/2022 09:09

@WellTidy wow, just wow :)

I have poured myself a green tea, instead of going to the coffee shop for a cappuccino, where I might be tempted. Like @WellTidy I have weakness for the pastries

B - trying to fast
L - sweet potato and coconut soup
D - mince/green beans from the other day, with cauliflower rice.
I know it's not enough food so will have greek yogurt/fruit if needed

purplegirl13 · 03/03/2022 09:10

@SwimmingOnEggshells also waiting to hear how your dinner went :)

purplegirl13 · 03/03/2022 09:17

@Knittingnanny2 did you arrive safely?

Knittingnanny2 · 03/03/2022 09:23

Yes thank you! It’s a 17 th century ricketty racketty cottage , I feel like I’ve gone back in time ! Off to the coast Southwold and Aldburgh today as it’s quite dry out
I’m sure there will be a tea shop involved!

SwimmingOnEggshells · 03/03/2022 10:19

@Knittingnanny2 have a lovely break!

@WellTidy and @purplegirl13 the halloumi was delicious! so much better than on the pan, it crisped up really nicely :) I was actually going to take a photo but my DS was playing on my phone. The gnocci was also good, tbh I'm not a major fan of gnocci overall but it was nice :) I also did butternut squash in it in about 12 minutes! so fast, it's amazing.

@welltidy your progress has been nothing other than stellar. Amazing.

Still on exactly the same weight here. Sigh.

Today I'm having:

Homemade cappuccino
Smoked haddock chowder
Prawn laksa with noodles for dinner

and definitely a cream egg at some point. Probably will have a banana and miso soup to stave off the hunger as well.

Please oh please let me see some progress soon. I really didn't overdo last weekend and I've been so good all this week. Really light lunches and just dinner everyday.

Knittingnanny2 · 03/03/2022 13:55

Southwold is so lovely! I want to live here!

Knittingnanny2 · 03/03/2022 13:59

Avoided all of the lovely tea shops and had a long walk

purplegirl13 · 03/03/2022 14:28

@Knittingnanny2 that's a lovely picture! I can't believe you resisted the tea shops (for now at least)
