I’ve had a complete day of sugar and now I feel sick! Eaten too many Father’s Day sweets and chocolate.
Back on track tomorrow

purplegirl13 · 20/06/2021 21:24

knittingnanny you had to help your DH out with the chocs or they will still be around in December 😊

Knittingnanny · 20/06/2021 22:33

Haha! I’m wondering if my 65 day sugar free period has actually made me feel sick after fewer chocolates and sweets. Although I ate quite a few it was nowhere as many as I could have done in the past.
I don’t feel out of control by around them, it’s a miracle!
But tomorrow may be different of course

BlodwinTheThird · 21/06/2021 10:49

Right. I’m logging everything properly today on MFP in an effort to keep me on track. Grumble grumble. Roll on Friday - got a long weekend and meeting up with friends. Hope everyone has a good week.

Knittingnanny · 21/06/2021 11:53

Me too,I’m obv not quite ready to go free yet, I’m not yet at the mindful eating maintainable stage so back to recording calories
Horrid day here today, I’ve just wondered out loud to myself why I’ve put makeup lipstick and a squirt of perfume on. All I’m doing today is a small food shop and a trip to the post office to post an eBay dress which I bought from eBay and didn’t like so resold!

purplegirl13 · 21/06/2021 12:19

knittingnanny l think a bit of lippy and a spritz of perfume can do wonders as a little pick me up. Get the hubby to hide the chocolate 😉

blodwin good luck

I'm laid up on the sofa with cramps/poorly tummy, after effects of antibiotics. So far it's been carb central here. The plan was to list items on eBay and brutally declutter today but will have to postpone to another day.

Hope everyone is ok

Sooverthemill · 21/06/2021 13:19

I had one bite of green and black chocolate last night and it was so sweet it was unpleasant! I think that's kind of good.

Had a supply issue when I realised I hadn't bought enough meals last week so DH went to fish and chip shop on Friday. It was delicious but I ate just the fish and tiny bit of batter ( I'm gluten free anyway) and 1/3 of the chips.

Meanwhile I'm still not snacking and it's all fine but Gosh isn't it cold which makes it a bit harder for me

SwimmingOnEggshells · 21/06/2021 13:40

It's baltic here, there's a terribly chilly wind. I'm keeping topped up with tea to keep me warm.

I did well over the weekend so I'm hoping to continue with it for the week and I might be heading back down scales.

I'm sorry to hear you're still unwell @purplegirl13, those antibiotics are vicious Flowers

Knittingnanny · 21/06/2021 13:46

I’ve made dh take some of the chocolate to the house he is ( still!) painting ready for sale.
Just bought a new notebook to start recording again. I know how to live!
I’m glad I’m a retired infant teacher today, saw a still teaching friend at the weekend and she said how ghastly Friday was with 30 reception children either cooped up or being kitted up to go in/out/in/ out to get fresh air!

purplegirl13 · 21/06/2021 17:33

@SwimmingOnEggshells they are awful antibiotics and I wish I'd run them by my Gastro consultant before taking them. I have IBD and they have caused a flare up, thankfully not too bad (but I'm still suffering more than I would like), hoping I can get over it quickly. Glad you did well over the weekend.

Sooverthemill · 21/06/2021 19:39

@purplegirl13 sorry you are still unwell

SwimmingOnEggshells · 22/06/2021 11:05

Argh to my husband foiling my diet!

I was so good yesterday:
Coffee
Some oats and yoghurt
Stir fry with lots of veg and rice

And then my husband came home with Praline and Cream Haagan Daz, why is it so insanely nice?! I ate nearly half a tub Angry

Morningmaeve · 22/06/2021 13:36

I've just eaten a bag of pop chips - only 70 calories but helped with my crisps craving. if only I could find a low calorie but relatively healthy alternative to wine...

purplegirl13 · 22/06/2021 18:51

@SwimmingOnEggshells if it makes you feel better those tubs are getting smaller and smaller Wink

SwimmingOnEggshells · 22/06/2021 20:19

I think so @purplegirl13 :)

I don't know those crisps @Morningmaeve, where do you get them?

Not a bad day for me today:

Coffee
Oats and yoghurt
Kedgeree for dinner
But I'm currently sipping a glass of wine...I just need to limit it to one and I should be fine.

SwimmingOnEggshells · 22/06/2021 20:21

I measured my upper arm, currently three notches below 10 inches. Last time I posted about it I was two notches below so slight progress.

Anyone know what an inch is made up of???

SwimmingOnEggshells · 22/06/2021 20:24

Google answered my question, just fractions apparently, so my arm measurement was 9 inches and 13/16ths.

purplegirl13 · 22/06/2021 20:38

swimming we're all get slowly getting there...
I never took measurements, couldn't bring myself to but know I'll find the numbers interesting at a later date.

I've also ordered added some popchips to my grocery order arriving tomorrow. You should find them in most supermarkets. I ordered a multipack as I'm trying to pretend I'll have one bag and not 3!

Morningmaeve · 23/06/2021 08:47

Yes @SwimmingOnEggshells pop chips in most supermarkets. My fave is the sour cream and onion flavour. And am buying multipacks of course!

purplegirl13 · 23/06/2021 10:15

@Morningmaeve good to know your fave, that's the one I ordered - I've never had pop chips before. Are you doing c25K? I haven't been for 3 weeks, the rain, and then poorly tummy put a stop to it. My plan is to do do a pilates/yoga dvd today and then re-start c25k tomorrow.

I've eaten nothing but carbs the last few days and I'm sure it's contributing to how sluggish I feel, so I'm going to try and focus on rice or potato today instead of bread. I will calorie count today and tomorrow to keep me somewhat on track, but then I'm away for a long weekend to visit a friend.

Breakfast was greek yogurt with honey,, lunch and dinner tbc

Morningmaeve · 23/06/2021 13:15

Hope you like them as much as I do @purplegirl13 - the hard thing is not opening a second pack! Rain and a few others things have scuppered my recent attempts at another C25K run but I am planning one for Friday and then I'll be moving on to week 3

purplegirl13 · 23/06/2021 13:38

@Morningmaeve I didn't immediately open a second pack...but did within 2 hours, the test now is to not open any more today!

Glad you're getting back to C25K again, I'm excited about getting out and (re)starting (I don't know who I've become?! I'm not at all sporty or competitive)

purplegirl13 · 24/06/2021 08:50

Early weigh in for me as I'm going away this afternoon. I have lost 1lb, taking me to 9st11.6 - a result of not feeling well this week, but I will absolutely take it! Fingers crossed, my flare up seems to be in check as well so another week or so I imagine before I'm back to 'normal'.

I'm off to stay with a friend for a few days which normally involves a lot of alcohol, and cheese/carbs. My aim is to drink little alcohol, which will be easy as I don't want to aggravate my gut any further. Be a bit mindful of what I'm eating and avoid the snack cupboard there. Enjoy a change of scenery!

Oh, and I'm back to C25k today w1r1 (week 1, run 1) and then will go again on Monday/Tuesday and stick to it.

@WellTidy how are you getting on?
