Thanks not

Setting goals for me is a struggle. Holiday to Scarborough is not setting me on fire. Or the prospect of wearing a cossie, until I put one on of course

Gensola · 21/04/2021 12:50

Thanks for new thread!
133 is amazing life! I haven’t weighed myself as want to wait for the post IVF period and let the hormones deflate from my body a bit.

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/04/2021 12:59

Yeah you need not be on asod for a while yet. I'm down to 1450 and counting macros for a week to see how that goes.
1535 today. Aiming for loadsa steps

Not2bObvious · 21/04/2021 13:45

Totally agree with avoiding the scales til the hormones are back to normal gen, it's far from important at the moment.
Did you decide to drop the cals yourself life or take advice? I'm meant to be on something similar by the calculator but I just can't go that low - well I could if I wasn't such a chocolate/crisps fiend. It's a decent amount of real food though. I'm trying to get my protein up and already changed my lunch & dinner to accommodate this. Also treated myself to some strawberries as an after lunch snack. Feeling in the zone....ish

Advice from pp

Gensola · 21/04/2021 14:40

Food today has been good, I had a few drinks last night so feel tired and craving carbs but have avoided them mostly.

Breakfast was 1.5 boiled egg on a slice of german rye, snack a banana and 1/2 a low sugar flapjack, lunch (in work) was baked cod with salad and vegetables with a cup of veg soup and some melon. Dinner will be prawn curry, was going to make brown rice but will make cauliflower rice instead.

Cals wise, I am so short I reckon my BMR is like 1200, with some movement maintenance for me would be 1500-1600, but to lose I think I need to exercise a lot plus restrict to 1200-1300. It's a tough life being 5 ft 2 ahaha!

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/04/2021 17:48

1650 as day planned before calories dropped

Not2bObvious · 21/04/2021 19:09

Hit my fibre for the first time in ages. Haven't hit protein but much improved on other days. Hunger has been less noisy today so there's something in it!

Not2bObvious · 22/04/2021 07:04

I was wondering the same and looked it up, atrial fibrillation is that right mrs? It sounds very frightening, I hope he's okThanks

Down a smidge, jeez it's slow but progress is progress. On 1000 steps from a very small bit of pottering, meant to be working out later this morning - but I've pulled a muscle in my upper back, saying that the workout might actually help, if I keep my posture good. Ahh I'll see how it goes. For now it's tea and lie down til 9, wfh has its advantages

My rings were shocking yesterday (Apple Watch movement etc) but food wasn’t too bad. DH and I had planned to go to a wine bar near both our works for a drink after work and he’s been given cover so won’t be free, do I cancel the booking or go alone with a book?!
Hormones are def flooding out of my system, I feel drained. It usually takes about a week to get back to normal.
Have emailed my leg surgeon to see if he can book me in before the next round of IVF!! Could be kissing goodbye to 5 litres of fluid from my legs!

Gensola · 22/04/2021 09:20

mrs sorry to hear about DH, I hope he feels better soon x

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/04/2021 10:07

Down a bit here too.
Day played around with for new calories. Eek

8900 steps so far.

Wow gen that will make such a difference. I would still go

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/04/2021 10:09

Ah ha atrial fibrillation. Yes

Happierwithouthim · 22/04/2021 11:03

Hi peeks meekly around the door Wink

Not2bObvious · 22/04/2021 12:25

Hola happier, any scandal😉
Work done, body pump done, 25 min jog/25 min walk done. On nearly 9,500.
Good luck with the juggling life, doing something similar

What's af Mrs if you don't mind me asking
Atrial fibrillation YES YOU ARE RIGHT Not Smile He is fine now thank you everyone Smile Thank God ! Hope your back is better Not Flowers Waves at Happier Grin Gen good luck with the consultation wouldn't that be wonderful to get it done asap before trying again ! So uplifting for you lovely Smile Food is bad atm, am very stressed & it's my go to , hopefully better tomorrow Smile
lifelongfrugaleer · 22/04/2021 18:59

You have a lot on Mrs. Take it easy. Pleased dh has a steady rhythm again

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/04/2021 19:01

So I didn't eat the avocado feta salad on my gusto. I think 1/2 avocado about 150 cals so will have a yogurt instead as peckish. Can't afford not to have the cals as on 1450. 12800 steps

Not2bObvious · 22/04/2021 19:42

By weight according to Tesco's frozen avocado (we're guacamole fiends here) 120gr is 240 or so. And as I've looked this up I've realised I may have miscalculated my guac cals. Clearly this is why my weight-loss is poor, the 3-4 servings of 40gr of it a week!
Very glad dh is ok now mrs, do what you need to feel ok. Tomorrow's another day.
My back is pretty ok, the weights did surprisingly help & lots of walking, keeping active didn't let anything seize up. Close to 15,000 and 150 cals left. Decent day

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/04/2021 20:02

I did think it was quite calorific but MFP gave wildly variant on results so I took an average ish.

Not2bObvious · 22/04/2021 22:13

It is for sure, although I'll have to admit in my case it's probably the choc/crisps/wine that are hindering my losses, not the avocado. I think I'm doing better the last few night as I'm using my last few cals on some actual food - ok maybe just a crumpet with butter/jam but it's more filling than a small chocolate bar. I've recognised hunger isn't filled by junk, it's fuelled by it. Now I can take that learning into the weekend & likely ignore it 🤪

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 23/04/2021 07:00

Great, seems seems like we are going ok
I'm now down to 131.5 and have just about stuck to calories. The weekend is more difficult in that there is no routine but I'm busier and not sat at a desk. Need to be better with my grab snacks
