Home after a long day of travelling and rubbish night sleep. One last takeaway to mark the end of the holiday, and a fairly relaxed meal tomorrow but come Monday it's game on. Enough of the messing, I can use my gut as a bar at this stage!

Great work gen and north

Sounds like a good plan not
I was booked on for Tabata this morning at the gym, but have felt a bit under the weather the past few days so decided to give it a miss & give my body a chance to recover. Made a lovely brunch frittata this morning with bacon, sausage, potatoes & tomatoes. Had half of it with beans & will have the other half tomorrow. High protein and not too carby. HM chicken nuggets & coleslaw for tea.
Gen it's Shrewsbury for us. Not so far away. I'm trying to figure out whether I can get over for early morning yoga at 8.30 each day & then back to the B&B for breakfast! There is also ceilidh dancing so that might have to replace our gym sessions

Gensola · 21/08/2021 20:24

not nice to wind down after hols.

We had a slightly disappointing dinner this eve but it meant I didn’t over eat Grin my problem is DH is an amazing cook usually.

Steps not so good today despite a walk in the rain. Ah well, I did me best!

north my ex DH just moved to Shrewsbury, he loves folk, I wonder if you’ll see him there!! Grin

Mrsmadevans · 21/08/2021 22:23

Evening all 🤗
Been offline till tonight so not been online 😊
Gen pity about your meal , you did great doing any steps tbh , it has rained here all day !
Not great plan for a restart on Monday 🤗👏
Am doing ok , busy with Mum so not much chance to scoff lol
North great work well done!
Hope you feel much better soon 💐

Not2bObvious · 22/08/2021 11:39

Thoroughly enjoyed my takeaway, had an early night and am now lazing. My Fitbit died (second one) the last few days and I've decided not to replace it. I've had one of those type devices for years and I'm still fat as a fool. It only caused me stress if anything. Going back to basics, do a daily minimum of 45 mins brisk walk (4,000 steps) or jog 45 (6,000) - and keep busy. I'll very likely do closer to 1.5 hours a day in walking but setting a reasonable minimum is enough for now. Just need to get a battery in my old watch, driving me mad being watch'less. I did a sneaky weigh in before dinner last night, 172.4 - and 171.6 this morning although that is after breakfast/many cups of tea. Safe to say, there's a gain of a good 5lb, the rest is bloat.

Mrsmadevans · 22/08/2021 16:28

Not that is very good you know, you will get that off in
A couple of weeks 👏☺️😀
Been ok, busy with Mum so it helps 😁

Happierwithouthim · 22/08/2021 17:32

Back to 196.9 on my own scales this morning even after drinking last night. Debating one last takeaway too but I'm going to pick up dog and there's an Iceland there so maybe I'll pick up something there instead.

Happierwithouthim · 22/08/2021 20:25

Got red Thai curry from Aldi fridge instead, I think it's a nutrifit one.
House swap people left soup behind so I think I'll make brown bread now while oven will be on & take that to work tomorrow

Get stuck back in

Mrsmadevans · 22/08/2021 20:35

Get stuck in ! Great stuff Happier 😀
Dd2 tried the Korean Slimwell meal from Aldi's and said it was very tasty for 1.99.
She likes a microwave meal when she's busy in work 🤗

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/08/2021 20:48

Ok back to it tomorrow as fat as bitter now. Going to do the planner of red days until Christmas. I estimate I need to lose 10lb and it’s 17 weeks to schools breaking up.
Plan
Aerobics for 6 tracks in the am, protein shake, proper lunch and dinner. Most calories will be dinner (about 600)
Going to do 1600 until i get going properly.
Must into weights but that will be next week.

Once school is back no more pop, crisps and choc except weekend

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/08/2021 20:48

Expecting 136lb tomorrow

Not2bObvious · 22/08/2021 22:11

Well done on the red curry instead of takeaway happier, was it nice?
Must give the Korean one a go mrs, anything convenient is a lifesaver on busy days.
Solid plan life, I think that sounds very doable 👍
Ok here but did have wine & snacks as last day of holiday cals. I think I'll reset to 1800 and try bank a few for the weekends. Got plenty of walking today and kept busy, only 3 meals until the evening watching stuff. Soooo much work to do tomorrow

OP posts:
Mrsmadevans · 22/08/2021 22:17

Fabulous plan Life you will do 10lbs easily by Christmas 🤗👏☺️✅
Not you have a great plan too , it's only 5lbs it will be off in the blink of an eye 🤗👏

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/08/2021 07:29

140.3lb eeek and slept in so no morning aerobics. No mind it’s only day 1

Not2bObvious · 23/08/2021 12:31

If I saw 140 on the scales, I'd be checking I had all my limbs! You have a starting point and I bet it's a bloated number so you'll surely see progress quickly.
No weigh in today, in my office for over 4 hours and still haven't had my breakfast. It's going to be a brunch. Post holiday to do list is extremely long. My heads buzzing from trying to capture all that needs doing. It's all good though. I defo need to get a decent walk in later to clear my fuzzy brain

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 23/08/2021 18:17

Grin not
Only 7900 steps but food ok and under 1600 so far

Happierwithouthim · 23/08/2021 19:08

Wow my post alcohol and afternoon tea bloat presented itself this morning 200lbs I thought the scales was broken Grin

Nutracheck is being filled and I'm out walking the dog, must create a space in shed for my exercise Grin

Turns out Nutracheck doesn't count veg soup as a fruit/veg portion Shock

It was the red Thai curry 4 pieces of chicken, I broke it up so that I'd have some in each bite Grin under 500 cals. Since life introduced me to the spicery curries I'm ruined for anything else! Also picked up 4% steak mince & diced steak on the super 6, no shopping done so taco mince has become a sort of chilli as found kidney beans. Going to portion it out & then tomorrow make a curry & freeze some for when I'm back into school routine next week. Think I'll use up some of the turkey burgers in feeezer op, I'm going to get a small Tesco delivery to keep us going. Haven't had one I'd say in about two years!

What's Korean one like? I was always against ready meals but I see their value now.

Today was 2 poached eggs on toast, Aldi chicken & veg soup with more bread, will make my own tonight, a Glenisk bio yogurt with granola & blueberries & dinner will be chilli/taco fries!
I'd a can of sugar free monster to help deal with back to work blues GrinWink
Frugally the eggs, soup & blueberries were left behind by house swap people Wink

Ok we're all finished holidays? Need to get this show back On the road GrinStarHaloGlitterball

Mrsmadevans · 23/08/2021 19:29

Hope everyone is doing and feeling well and the weather is good, it's been lovely here today Grin
Not it's always the same when we get back after hols it has all mounted up . You will soon sort it l know Smile
Life that is excellent l wish l knew what 140.3 was like Grin
Happier l don't know what it tasted like but Dd2 is quite fussy re the sliming meals so on that l would say it's probably tasty Smile
Your meals sound delicious you are so organised! Smile

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/08/2021 20:33

I’m off work next week but not away
Sorry happier —not sorry— but the Spicery curries are totally worth the calories

Not2bObvious · 23/08/2021 20:33

My holidays are definitely behind me, I'm sick of packing/unpacking/washing. I know I'm a terrible spoilt wagon, but the thoughts of even leaving my home for an overnight is making me itchy (could be the mosquito bite I got on my last night either!)
So I'm in 100%
Soo strange not having a watch tracking steps. I've eaten a little over 1300 with my bit of walking. Keeping the fluids up. Really want to get under 170, I think we're all at a yikes point? Is that fair to say?
Will start a new thread tomorrow when I get 5 mins. Let's kick the arse out of the remains of 2021!!!

Bah strike through fail

Gensola · 23/08/2021 20:54

I had a glass of wine after work today - summer school was chaos and I was totally drained. Food was otherwise good!
Watching channel 5 supermarket show while trying not to snack. Grin

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/08/2021 21:00

I think we are not

Gen fwiw my ds loved summer school today and it did him the power of good

Not2bObvious · 23/08/2021 21:16

Really need to get the night snacking under control, although still good numbers finishing at 1425.
I think a glass of wine was deserved gen, and you stopped at one - that's restraint.
Lying on the bed trying to get into night mode, brains still a bit buzzy after the day
