Hi.

Just wondering if anyone is doing Exante (or anything similar) currently. I have a few VLCD sachets in my kitchen cupboard and have ordered some bars. I’ll be starting Monday. Anyone else?

My starting weight is 18stone so I have to lose literally half my weight Blush.

Anyone else getting the insomnia kicking in yet?
Nope! If anything I'm ready for bed by 9pm Grin. I definitely have more energy in the day though, especially in the mornings.

Hopefully not TMI, but does anyone have any suggestions to help with the old bowels. I'm still regular but could do with a softener. Is there anything I can't use or anything that helps?

How often is everyone weighing-weekly or daily?
I haven’t weighed myself yet as I feel like I probably have lost anything, still feel so bloated despite being on day 3 and actually sticking to plan Confused

For some reason my comment didn't post 🤔

I decided to weigh myself this morning out of curiosity and I started on 19/04 weighing 13 stone 11lb 7oz and today weighed 13stone 9lb 0oz so I've lost 2lb 7oz which is great for 2 days!

I tried the pizza for lunch today, ill try post a picture. It wasn't great, the sauce I think is what I didn't like. I might try without next time or leave the rest of the box til last lol.

I was weighing daily, but stopped this weekend after a random gain (despite being 100% on plan) messed with my head.

I'm officially 10 lbs down in total. I'm not weighing again now until the end of the month. I'm going off plan on the bank holiday weekend. I'm going to stick to it regardless of what the scales say, so I don't need to weigh myself constantly.

Some things you could try: keep yourself well hydrated, limiting your caffeine intake. You could have some leafy greens for your extra 200 meal or try some spices like turmeric which are natural laxatives. If all fails you could use senna or something like movicol?

Hi all, please may I join in? I started on Monday having bought a box of shakes months ago but having just let me weight continue to rise since then....

I don't fancy any of the meals and haven't seen great reviews of them so am just on shakes.

What's everyone's favourites? I'd seen bad reviews of the chocolate but it's my favourite so far. I've also tried the strawberry, cherries and berries and lemon cheesecake....

@Xogarana1988 thanks, I actually find caffeine (well coffee) helps move things along!

@Mallowmarshmallow I started with just the shakes. I bought some of the bars and soups last week. So far the only things I would avoid are the coconut chocolate bars and a soup that smelt like cheese. I think it was chicken and ham with pasta bits in? I'm not too fussed about the vanilla or birthday cake shakes, but they do the job. My favourites are mint chocolate and salted caramel.

Hi 😊 How are you getting on with your first three days? So far the soups have been quite nice and I had the pasta carbonara last night which was good, the pizza today I didn't enjoy but I did finish it lol. I have noticed they have scrapped many meals I enjoyed when I did this 4 years ago which is a shame. I'm going swimming later so I may only get around to having 3 products today instead of 4.

Regarding the toilet, remember you are putting less in you, so less will come out. If you went every day before, it's unlikely to be that way now. After the initial stomach upset some people get, that is.

@3Britnee I am still quite regular, it's just a bit tough IYSWIM. I feel like I've been on iron tablets Grin I used to take a pro biotic to help when I was on iron supplements but I don't think I could have that on exante

If you've only had one product, then yes you should be definitely trying to have at least another two. Or make yourself a low carb, low calorie meal to take you up to 600 cals for the day.

It's been really interesting reading people's experiences. Well done to everyone for efforts so far!! I'm not sure yet what way I'm going to do it. Thinking 3 bars/packets/shakes and one normal food (love boiled eggs!) a day but I'll have to see how it goes.

I know what you mean. I've had 2 products today and not feeling hungry. I've just come back from swimming and making a salad to bump it to the 800 total calories.

I have only read OP but during lockdown I did Exante as I got fed up of LighterLife.

Within 2 days of being on Exante I could not poo. And I'm not exaggerating. Physically could not. I've never had any issues in this department before.
I sat for 45 mins, panting like I was giving birth, eventually having to reach behind and help thing along. It was bloody awful and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.
After that I slung it all in the bin - I didn't even want to sell it on eBay in case it did the same to some other poor, unsuspecting soul.

However - the lemon cheesecake shake was the absolute bomb.... Grin
