Hi.

Just wondering if anyone is doing Exante (or anything similar) currently. I have a few VLCD sachets in my kitchen cupboard and have ordered some bars. I’ll be starting Monday. Anyone else?

My starting weight is 18stone so I have to lose literally half my weight Blush.

Not doing Exante but starting on Fast 800 today and going to use Purition shakes to give me a kickstart for the first few weeks then I will probably move onto food.

Aiming for an initial 2 stone loss to get me to BMI 29.9.

@3Britnee that's a shame you can't get them. Have you seen any others that take your fancy?

I've just ordered some soups and meals for next day delivery to have when the rest of the family are having their dinner.

@KindleRemote

I've had a Salted Caramel bar for breakfast this morning and it was amazing!!!!
They sound yummy! I have a soft spot for salted caramel!
3Britnee · 19/04/2021 12:11

I like the salted caramel and the caramel crunch. I've got tons of products to get through though so shouldn't really buy any more 😂

My supermarket does good equivalent bars though.

Most of the meal replacement products are around 200 calories.

Exante have more than one plan. On the 800 plan, they recommend having 800 calories a day made up of 3 of their products and 200 cals of food OR a fourth product. On their 1200 plan, its 1200 calories, again made up of 2-3 products and food.

You can do a mixture of shakes, soups, bars, cookies etc. They even have pancake mix and porridge pots.

I can't recommend enough - READ THE WEBSITE. They have a guide on there for all the plans and how to follow it safely if doing a VLCD.

Hey, you can choose to have a shake, bar, soup, meal or dessert. Which plan were you thinking of doing? X
Xogarana1988 · 19/04/2021 12:28

Lol, I originally wanted to just do the shakes but then thought this morning I should give myself more options to shake it up a bit 😆 my next order I'll get some bars too

Thedarksideofthemoon30 · 19/04/2021 14:30

Me! Day 14 here and Iv lost 16lb so far :)

Queenie6655 · 19/04/2021 14:41

Ok super I'm in

3Britnee · 19/04/2021 14:52

How's everyone getting on? I'm about to have my second product.

Does everyone know that if you mix the shakes up in a blender with ice they come out a bit like McDonald's milkshakes?

Have you stuck to it religiously? I've got a few meals out planned but hoping if I stick to it the rest of the time I can still lose

I did just shakes in my first week, but now I've got some bars, soups, cookies and what can only be described as angel delight!
Xogarana1988 · 19/04/2021 16:11

Going well so far, had my second shake at 1ish white chocolate and raspberry which was better than the carrot cake one. Not feeling hungry, think the warm weather helps.

I'll have to dig my blender out and get the ice cube trays in😊

Given my kids their dinner outside which they think is fun but truth is....I don’t have the strength to sit at the table with them and watch them eat all those yummy carbs Blush
Saving my last shake til really late as that’s when I tend to get peckish. Hope everyone is doing well so far Smile

I know what you mean, I'm making the kids dinner atm and I'm jealous lol. I've ordered some of the soups and meals for this exact same reason, should be coming tomorrow. I'm not sure what I'm going to use the 200cal on to make it to 800 yet though maybe some chicken or eggs 🤔
imnotprincessbubblegum · 19/04/2021 17:45

If anyone is ordering meal replacements you get 42% off with MONDAY12 (not sure how long it’s valid for, but I’ve just used it and it worked) and then a free shake pack if your order is more than £75 I think it was.

@Xogarana1988 maybe some chicken/tofu/fish/eggs with green leafy vegetables? Maybe they’ll be more ideas on the website. I’m sure there certain types of veg to avoid, like root vegetables probably.

I’m vegan so have had to order a different brand for VLCD soups but I’ve just bought more shakes, bunch of bars and “juice” something or other from Exante. Going to have my own cupboard of VCLD stuff so I have no excuse Blush

I tend to have four products or measure out some sliced ham and cheese to pick at. Babybel lights are good.

My kids have tea at the childminders in the week which makes it soooo much easier for me.

Xogarana1988 · 19/04/2021 20:33

I ended up having my 3rd shake at 6ish and I've just had 2 eggs for my extra bit. @KindleRemote I think from tomorrow I'll do the 4 products to keep it simple like your doing.

KindleRemote · 19/04/2021 21:52

@Xogarana1988 the good thing is, you can chop and change depending on what suits you best each day. Personally, I know I wouldn't get anything like a decent meal for 200 calories. Mentally, it is easier for me to just not eat and have a shake or bar instead. The whole eating, but only having a tiny bit or a poor low calorie imitation is what has sent me off track with diets in the past.

KindleRemote · 19/04/2021 21:54

Also, the hunger does get easier. I haven't really felt hungry all day today.

3Britnee · 20/04/2021 06:18

Are we posting daily weigh ins, for those of us that can't stay off the scales?

Yesterday I had a bar and 2 shakes, and 250g portobello mushrooms that needed to be used up. I just put them in the oven with some onion and garlic powder. I did have a tiny tiny biscuit that came with my tea in a cafe, when I googled it later it had 54 calories and 15 carbs. I had 3l water and 5 green teas.

Starting weight 19/4/21: 12st 3lb 2oz
Current weight 20/4/21: 12st 1lb 8oz
Weight lost: 1lb 4oz
Goal weight: 9st 7lb
Left to lose: 2st 8lb

DragonmotherKhaleesi · 20/04/2021 07:02

With the 800 could you do 2 meal replacements and a 400 cal meal?

3Britnee · 20/04/2021 08:17

@DragonmotherKhaleesi

Yes as long as its low carb, I believe.

The first time I did this I had a cheat meal on average once a week, usually of chicken & salad or veg and it didn't make much difference to my losses. After the first week I usually averaged 3lb a week.
