Hi,

Thought I'd start the new thread ready for tomorrow. I am aiming to be 9st1 by the end of March, have decided to be ambitious for once.

Thanks for the explanation on the weight loss yesterday @TheHoneyBadger @FlatteredFool Makes sense, if annoying!

I am very jealous of all your lovely bike rides! Especially that trail. Are you by the sea did you say, Flattered? It sounds idyllic.

I'm mainly surrounded by suburbia (aiming to move in a few years, craving rural life) but did get out for a three hour schlep this morning. I'm off to my mum's in a couple of days (support bubble) which means main meals will be out of my control and I won't get out as much, so trying to get a few extra miles under the belt today and tomorrow.

drspouse · 09/03/2021 20:46

We are by the sea (well, I can ride TO the sea but the forecast is windy so I'll stick to the canal I think)

FlatteredFool · 09/03/2021 23:34

I live on the edge of the Peak District.

Another good day today Smile
I've totally messed up food today though and had too many snacks so that I ended up with no calories left for dinner 😩 Well, there were exercise calories but I try not to eat those and it was past 6pm.

Sleep well everyone.

Hope everyone has a great day.

I've created a Fitbit challenge thread if anyone wants to join.

Up a little unsurprisingly after ds's birthday.

Official weigh in tomorrow and I shall try not to feel gutted that it isn't my usual 2lb loss and just aim to do better the next week.

Have managed my goal of burning 2100+ cals this week so far so will focus on keeping that up.

Octopus37 · 10/03/2021 08:30

Sounds as if everyone is doing well. Up at bit here 9st5 this morning, but my dont know what my body is doing at the moment so trying not to worry too much.

Apart from me Octopus! According to the scales I've put on a kilo in the past two days, despite starting logging calories again. And I've gone over budget at lunch today. I reckon I'm premenstrual.

I just need to be kind to myself and not panic. I've only just started recovering from the stress of lockdown, and if I keep doing the right things most of the time I'll lose that weight again.

FlatteredFool · 10/03/2021 21:50

Bodies are weird and wonderful things @Octopus37. It will come off again I'm sure. Hormones are probably playing a huge part from what you've said.
I've not done as many steps today as ds wanted to walk up the big hill rather than detour through the woods which is longer but less steep. My hips are feeling the increased walking over the past 10 days so I've been less obsessive about meeting my goals today. I've done 17,234 steps, 7.21 miles, 87 floors and 123 active minutes. And calories out are 2200 compared to less than 1500 in so I'm happy with that. I've had a healthier food day with no snacks too. Yesterday was appalling for snacks Blush I'm going to get an early night too.
I'm hoping for a drop in the morning and hope you all get one too. Sweet dreams everyone.

FlatteredFool · 11/03/2021 06:57

Morning all. 60.95kg this morning. The weather is atrocious here today so I'll get soaked on the school run. Have a great day everyone.

Overweight · 11/03/2021 08:30

Morning. Weigh day here. Down 1.9lbs, the same as last week. After the glory days of the first month, I think this is quite reflective of the fact that the novelty of weighing and measuring and trying to beat my calorie allowance has worn off and I'm now finding that if I have any spare calories at the end of the day, I'm then adding a little chocolate or small glass of wine. Plus a couple of days have gone slightly over anyway due to not ideal meals (one takeaway, one DS' request).

However, I'm still down 14.5 lbs since I started and still heading in the right direction, which I'm pleased with.

Off the my mum's later for a few days so is suspect this will be a bad week, then hopefully a good one before Easter and then my birthday. It'll be challenging times for the will power ahead.

I hope you're all staying safe despite the weather and able to get out and about if you want to.

Octopus37 · 11/03/2021 09:20

@Overweight thats over a stone, that's amazing. Not great here, but hoping its hormones as I dont feel that I ate enough yesterday to put on 1.25 pounds overnight. I'm not eating healthily at the moment but its not been pig out city either. Steps were a bit down yesterday but even so. Trying not to stress, but just feel so bloated and sore. Hopefully next week's blood test might give me some idea of what's going on. Just so uncomfortable. Sorry, rant over, hope everyone has a good day.

Sorry you're feeling rubbish Octopus.

I'm still feeling emotionally rubbish and did some silly snacking yesterday afternoon. The stress of lockdown and home schooling is going to take a while to settle. I know I'd feel better if I managed to shift some of the lockdown weight but I need to be patient.

Husband is planning takeaway this evening. No idea how I'll count it. I think I just need to attempt a small portion and a modest lunch between now and then.

Octopus37 · 11/03/2021 13:28

@Monochrome4 you're right, think it does and will take time for us to recover from lockdown.

FlatteredFool · 11/03/2021 18:07

Mentally and physically lockdown has had a huge effect on lots of people and it will take time to adjust again. Of course who knows what the future holds with new variants so I guess we just have to make the most of things when we can eg exercise.

I've worked out how many calories are in my homemade pizza and am not happy.

106 floors so far today-a new record. I should hit 18000 steps by the end of the day but I am shattered. Roll on bedtime!

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 11/03/2021 19:22

Hi everyone, checking in quickly ahead of a not overly hopeful weigh in tomorrow! Will catch up on posts when in from walk. I am doing well on steps but will have an online weekend which cancels a lot of the hard work put unfortunately.
B: banana, almonds, Greek yoghurt
L: ratatouille with hallloumi and salad
L 2 (!) : beetroot and goat's cheese salad, ridiculously delicious
D: beef stir fry with tiny portion of rice
S: 30g granola and Greek yoghurt
Apart from the Snack I'd say the cals were OK. Something like 300, 300, 500, 500 which is fine teamed with the high steps. Should hit 16k steps today, didn't hit 10k yesterday so I'm glad of a pre arranged masked walk. Hope all doing well.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 11/03/2021 19:27

Oops that salad looks more like 600cals!!

drspouse · 11/03/2021 21:46

Another good day, squeezed in a long walk before picking up DD and a couple of choc chip cookies.

drspouse · 11/03/2021 22:18

I'm getting ads for Easter eggs already, as if it wasn't enough of a pain to avoid them in the supermarket!

FlatteredFool · 12/03/2021 06:54

61.1kg this morning. Really need to up my game to shift any weight it seems.
Hope everyone has a good day.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 12/03/2021 07:40

Hope things ease for you octopus and monochrome, good to see you back and hope you're doing OK. I decided a few weeks ago to hold back a bit from trying tbh and it has suited. I have massively upped my steps and weigh just once a week. I had 3 bad days this week where I gave into the sugar and I just can't have one or two biscuits so it's a real self sabotage unfortunately. However I have had 3 good meals a day and twice this week actually went to buy sugar and couldn't actually find something I felt like eating so chose a healthy, veggie option instead. So some NSVs there. I'm down a quarter of a pound on day one of my period so I'll take that as I make my way slowly back towards 9st. I'm 9 1.75 today. Happy Friday al

TheHoneyBadger · 12/03/2021 08:43

Morning. Didn't linger on the scales this morning for an exact weight but enough to see it was up. I drank tons of water in the night last night (didn't realise I'd gotten dehydrated at school) and haven't had a bm in a couple of days so trying not to take it to heart.

I finished eating before 5pm last night and am working till 3 so should get a decent fast in and will keep drinking water.

Octopus37 · 12/03/2021 09:21

@HeyGirlHeyBoy well done. 9st4.75 this morning. Feeling a bit better than yesterday. @TheHoneyBadger I'm sure your gain is a temporary thing. Managed a dog walk this morning before it started pouring down. I have to ask, am I the only person who has eaten an Easter egg already? Love the Incredible ones, with stuff in the shell, shared one with a friend on a socially distanced walk last weekend.

Morning all. Just checking in to say hi. No change in weight this morning - still up a kilo from the beginning of this week. I just need to keep logging and resisting snacks and it'll start to go down again. I'm sill feeling completely wiped out but a bit more cheerful.

drspouse · 12/03/2021 19:47

Good day today with long bike ride and short walk. DH bought fish and chips but shared one chips out between 4 (good man) and I had lightly battered and gave DS some.
Hopeful for weigh in tomorrow!

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 12/03/2021 20:45

Well done drspouse! I have somehow managed 12k steps without going for a walk.. Which is a relief as my entire insides feel like they're being slowly drained away, period pains so bad.. Three good meals here and having some snacks now.
