Hi,

Thought I'd start the new thread ready for tomorrow. I am aiming to be 9st1 by the end of March, have decided to be ambitious for once.

Scales still up at same weight. Bit odd as my calorie burn has been good all week and more active with being back at work. Oh well.

Will keep on keeping on.

Thanks octopus, stomach not do bad but still some sudden stabbing pains and head is not great. Big commitment for me this week has to be water increase as I've just not stayed on top of it and I know it makes a big difference. So it's 2.5L minimum, lights out by 11 and 10k minimum daily steps. Have a good sat all, I'll do well to get 5k steps in as I'm online till 6.

Hi everyone, just checking in. Despite best intentions I've let a lot of snacks in this week - homemade cakes at work, Ben & Jerry's (I bought it so can't blame anyone else 😂)

We're having a mother's day Chinese and wine tonight. Day 1 of period, and 10st 1 this morning.

Will 'start again' next week... to be honest 10st 1 is a nice weight for my height so not too fussed, just don't want to gain.

Sorry not kept up with the thread this week but hope everyone is doing ok and being kind to themselves. Keep doing your best x

Lost the 1/2 lb that's been on and off for ages plus another 3/4 lb, DH and DD planning to make a Mother's Day cake though so... Planning my meals in the morning seems to be helping.

Hello all. After feeling completely shattered all week I'm finally feeling a bit more human. I started logging calories this week but didn't do very well at keeping to budget. I haven't been counting calories today but am concentrating on resisting snacks. It's amazing quite how much of a challenge that is!
Happy Saturday everyone.

Bit of a fail here today but I'm tired but can't find the energy to care. Pizza and Ben and Jerry's Blush Ds has germs after his first week back at school and I'm waiting for his covid test result. I'm going to put him to bed soon as he's not looking well at all bless him. I'm going to go to bed too and either watch something on my phone or read. 45 miles walked this week so a lazy day isn't a crime.

Total fail here today despite the family not letting me start the cake! I will keep up the planning though.

Scales still up. Somewhat frustrating because I know I've had more calories out than in.

When do gyms reopen? I miss the gym

Report
Octopus37 · 14/03/2021 09:18

@TheHoneyBadger gymns are supposed to reopen on 12th April. I bet you lose a couple of pounds overnight within the next couple of days. Happy Mothers Day everyone and also thinking of those of us who dont have our Mums/MIL's around anymore. 9st4.5 this morning, yesterday was a bit better with food, water, steps.

Just touching base, it's the last day of my week off. I won't get on the scales for as long as I can hold out! Back on the wagon tomorrow all being well...

Cake for breakfast, thanks DD, but I'm sure the rest of the day will be better!

Well done Octopus that's a drop! Cake coming later for me. Steps will be minimal but will up water at least.

Luckily no temptation for me. He should remember it's Mother's Day when he wakes up as I'm sure my dad will be messaging reminding him and I'm fairly sure he dropped a card off for him to write on the other day.

I hope you're right octopus! I've not been amazing diet and exercise wise but definitely running a decent deficit.

Fail this week for me, feel a bit better knowing I'm not alone! It was my birthday on Wednesday so there's been cake, pizza one night and various sweets etc.

To be honest it's not been as bad as it could be food wise and I have done two PT sessions and one other workout. Have still had my water more or less and I'd say I've got my steps 5 days out of 7. I've definitely been lazier than usual though and have done very little uni work since Wednesday either. Thinking I'll just draw a line under this week , I haven't weighed myself but I doubt it will be good so might leave it a few days.

You know when we say 'unless you've eaten 3,500 cals more than maintenance it won't be real weight gain'? Well I would say I've come pretty close to that much of a surplus! I've just gone back and added it up, some I've had to estimate but my god I can see how I was a stone heavier this time last year - as a weekend like this would have been every weekend!

Highlights from the last two days: many glasses of wine, Chinese take away, Ben & Jerry peanut butter cup, lots of chocolate, croissants and a cup cake! Yikes...

61.95kg this morning. Not great as not been sticking to things over the weekend. Last week I did 122k steps though so really active which should have helped get things shifting.
I've got a very stressful day ahead of zoom meetings with no chance for lunch so I'm going to have a massive headache by school run time. Roll on bedtime tonight!
Have a great day everyone! Don't forget the magic water.

Lol 5 days off work, 5lbs on the scale. So it turns out that I couldn't wait very long to weigh myself! Hopefully drinking lots of water and resuming usual maintenance calories will lose a couple of those lbs by the end of the week. The rest in a month I imagine.

No weighing today cause unsurprisingly with it being Mothers Day, I didn't manage a very good day yesterday. Feeling better this week so hope to do better.

Pretty good day yesterday even with the cake, got in a lot of steps tidying the house and halved my wedges portion at tea deliberately.

Scales still up despite fasting much of yesterday. Holding out hope for a sudden whoosh before my next official weigh in on Thursday.

Hope everyone had lovely Mother's Days.

Oh Honey Badger that's so frustrating! Hopefully the scales will look better on Thursday. Good to see so many had a nice weekend. I think I managed to avoid the worst of the temptation at my mum's - main meals weren't great, but I didn't have lots of additional things that I normally would like croissant, wine, ice cream and biscuits. Think that was as good as I could have hoped for which I'm happy about.

Mother's Day was a bit of a non event which I'm feeling a bit down about now. I had written quite a bit but it's not really relevant to this thread and I probably need to go and do an AIBU to see if I'm being a mardy moo about what DH did/didn't do! Anyway, the point is I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself and really fighting the desire to just go and eat a load of sugary crap. Argh.

Feel free to vent on here if you don't want to make a new thread.

So far so good today. I've not been feeling hungry which I sometimes do after overeating. Mostly I've been a bit bored nibbly but my mini Reese's help satisfy that and are only 16 cals so easy to fit in. Yet to reach my water target.
