Anyone want to join me? It's 1st February tomorrow which seems a good day to start.

Three stone to lose here, I can't put it off any longer. I hate being overweight.

Nothing fits me and I am so miserable.

Yes please, I have been trying a bit in January but not doing great. Been on / off a diet since November trying to shift baby weight. February seems a good time to really get into it. Particularly as I go back to work in April.

I have around 3 st to lose as well.

Itsmadhere · 31/01/2021 14:07

Me! Three stone to lose too.

anotherlongwalk · 31/01/2021 14:09

God I really need to, got a good 4 stone to lose Sad lost 2 this time last year doing keto, then the world went mad, I lost all motivation and put it all back on. I don't think I'm in the right head space yet... therefore I'm going to follow this thread to motivate me!

serran · 31/01/2021 14:11

I've not weighed myself for a while, but I will be around the 12st mark. Going to weigh in the morning so that I have a starting point.

I'm fairly short, 5'4 and look really fat now.

Itsmadhere · 31/01/2021 14:27

@serran Don't. I've hit the 13 mark. I'm so embarrassed. I was 9st 7lbs this time last year!!

serran · 31/01/2021 14:35

@Itsmadhere depressing isn't it. I've done a lot of eating through the various lockdowns. I don't recognise myself. I look and feel awful.

LH1987 · 31/01/2021 15:21

Weighed this morning, 12st 8.25lb, this is very depressing!

Goal for February is to get under 12, a bit of stretch I know! Lockdown is not helping, I am finding the thought of going for ANOTHER walk very unappealing.

I look at my 8 month old and think,’you did this to me’, then I remind myself that she didn’t force family sized packets of crisps into my hands 😂

Itsmadhere · 31/01/2021 16:35

@LH1987 😂 I know what you mean! For me, it's chocolate! I could eat heaps of the stuff!

abouttogoon · 31/01/2021 16:47

Yes! Me! Thank you for starting thread . Never joined one of these before so might motivate me! 14st2lbs. Wfh so not much exercise (not ever been my thing anyway!) not a snacker but eat big portions, so, portion control fur me and no late night cereal! Also drink alcohol so will try not to dr k anything Monday to Friday

abouttogoon · 31/01/2021 16:48

Sorry for typos!

CoronaIsWatching · 31/01/2021 16:49

Me. Dry January ticked off the list, not lost any weight as just replaced the booze with sugary treats. My favourite pair of jeans ripped the other day due to my fat thighs. On a v v strict diet from tomorrow.

CoronaIsWatching · 31/01/2021 16:51

The evenings are starting to get noticeably lighter, hopefully in a few weeks I will be able to go for a long walk after work

Lovelymonkeyninetynine · 31/01/2021 17:34

Me too! I am going through a divorce and am aware I need to be kind to myself, unfortunately this has meant drinking during the week, eating crap and generally being unhealthy.
I'm not going super strict but want to start to take care of myself. I'll weigh tomorrow but reckon I'll be 11ish, I want to get to 10, or a bit below. I'm 5'4.

serran · 31/01/2021 17:37

@Itsmadhere me too with the chocolate. I have no cut of point and can just stuff my face and never feel sick.

CrystalFlyer · 31/01/2021 17:37

I’m in. I started 3 weeks ago but period started yesterday and it all went a bit wrong! Just a bit too much wine and chocolate.

I’m weighing on Saturdays and I’m 11 stone 2. I’m only 5 foot 2 so I want to lose at least 2 stone. Ideally more like 2 and a half.

Passthebubbly · 31/01/2021 17:48

Hey can I join too. Technically started 1st jan but need a group like this to spur me on. Staring weight then was 12.2(and a half) am now 11.4 just over a stone to go and a birthday this week where I intend to make up for dry January Smile

Howaboutyou · 31/01/2021 21:54

I'd love to join! I was starting tomorrow anyways & this might be a little bit of extra motivation, I'm starting at 14'7 & aiming to lose 2lbs a week, so fingers crossed!

Monkeytennis97 · 31/01/2021 21:57

Yup me. Have put on 5lbs since December after losing 5 stone 3lbs last year. Need to get back on it.

SW:17 stone 9lbs
CW:12 stone 11bs
GW: 10 stone 11lbs

didireallysaythat · 31/01/2021 22:00

Count me in. I intended to start on this in January but then lock down happened and the wheels fell off

@Passthebubbly fantastic result - what was your strategy ????

Passthebubbly · 31/01/2021 22:07

@didireallysaythat not been easy but no booze and strict 1200cals a day. I downloaded happy scales app too which I seen recommended on here which has kept me motivated seeing the drops and trends.
Also started using skinny sprinkles which helps fill you up. Meant to have 3 a day but I have been having 2 and it’s really curbed the hunger. On to month 2 just desperate to hit that first stone mark

donewithitalltodayandxmas · 31/01/2021 22:07

Yes , 3 stone would be good start ( may need to loose more )

Passthebubbly · 31/01/2021 22:08

@Monkeytennis97 wow 5 stone!! That is amazing. What did you do to get such a great result?

Monkeytennis97 · 31/01/2021 22:14
@Monkeytennis97 wow 5 stone!! That is amazing. What did you do to get such a great result?
Lots of walking, bit of jogging, less calories daily (about 1700 cals).

Passthebubbly · 31/01/2021 23:29

@Monkeytennis97 that’s exactly what I am doing now so hope for the same good results. What a inspiration you are

LBB2020 · 31/01/2021 23:36

I’ll join too! I lost 5lb in January but want to shift the last of my baby weight by Easter! Aiming for half a stone in Feb (I think it’ll more likely be 4/5lb!)
