Anyone want to join me? It's 1st February tomorrow which seems a good day to start.

Three stone to lose here, I can't put it off any longer. I hate being overweight.

Nothing fits me and I am so miserable.

Good day yesterday and have managed so far not to eat anything after 7 and before 11 in the morning . Not much in way of exercise though so need to sort that out, Feeling quite motivatedSmile

RunningKatie · 03/02/2021 11:41

Day 3 - I've not had any crisps so far. I have had chocolate but trying to small pieces to dent the excessive birthday stash.
I'm also increasing my water intake, as well as making sure I hit the 10k step count.
I really want to fit in some new jeans and also fit my wedding ring back on, I probably need to lose a stone for that, and then I really need to lost 3.5 stone in total. Quite sad it has got to this.

StrawberryFizz26 · 03/02/2021 12:06

LB2020 congrats on your DS!

abouttoggoon can you do something like walking or couch25k? I hate jumping about to exercise videos but once I've achieved my goal of pilates twice a week for a couple of weeks on the run, I'm going to add in some light weights as I used to really enjoy that at the gym.

runningkatie Well done! I've got 2 ice creams and half a bar of chocolate in and I know they are going to get consumed at some point, I've just come on but being honest, they'd get eaten anyway, I'll just make sure it's over 3 days rather than all in one go.

I've started using MFP to log my food. Never done it before and that should keep me honest too.

Happy Hump Day!!

LH1987 · 03/02/2021 13:43

So after a terrible day yesterday, I am back on it wholeheartedly. I had lunch at 1.15 and will stop eating at 9.

Lunch was some edamame and sugar snap pea salad, low fat coleslaw and a couple of slices of ham. Dinner I’m making a vegetable, fish and mussels chowder but using skimmed milk instead of cream.

Hearing about everyone’s progress is very motivating for me 😀

chickennuggets2 · 03/02/2021 14:04

Day 2 went well, didn't have cravings last night so that's one thing!

Day 3 is going well so far, batch cooked some soup yesterday so had that for lunch, got salmon with roasted veg tonight 🤤

Hope everyone is doing okay today, regardless how the diet is going 😁

Lovelymonkeyninetynine · 03/02/2021 18:58

Yep I'm doing well. I've been drinking too much so it's much easier to diet without saving cals for wine. I'm going to aim to have February off the booze I think.
I made a massive Bolognese for dinner (loads of veg) and used low fat mince so that's a winner.
For me it's about staying away from sugar (sooooo hard in lockdown and winter) and wine.
Keep going everyone!

LBB2020 · 03/02/2021 21:07

Much better day today! I’ve kept within my calorie allowance and went for a long walk with the baby in the carrier. I still haven’t done a workout video but I am aiming for 2/3 a week so there is still have time!
I made a big bean chilli which we had with brown rice for dinner which was delicious and so quick to cook.
Hope everyone else has had a good day

LaCicciolina · 03/02/2021 21:38

It's going well here with the low carbing and I haven't felt too hungry yet. I haven't worn jeans in the best part of a year as I know it will be a bit of a wake up call. I've been living in jumper dresses and thick woolly tights the last few months which is super comfy for WFH but it means I don't have any uncomfortable waist bands to keep me on the straight and narrow. Next week I am going to attempt to wear the jeans of truth.

Hope I've done this right! Thanks I have thought about that, might give it a go! Walking dues work well for me
Sailorsgirl44 · 03/02/2021 22:32

Breakfast - banana and yogurt (full fat Greek as it keeps me full all morning)
Lunch - cottage pie with sweet potato mash
Dinner - 2 veggie sausages and scrambled egg.

Doing well staying away from bread, pasta, etc.

I did eat a mini crunchie bar and one pack of low fat crisps. And I finished off 2 sausages from my daughters plate.

DisappearingHelen · 04/02/2021 06:23

@LaCicciolina good luck with the jeans of truth today. I don’t fit into the jeans I could wear this time last year but hopefully it’s just a matter of time!

@Sailorsgirl44 do you tend to include the little bits like your dd leftovers in your calorie count (or equivalent) for the day. I find myself needing to but then think I’m a bit silly for not being ever able to relax a little!

I ended on plan yesterday but came close to falling off! I’d done the healthy eating and exercise all day (though I did have a case of the hungries all day so many apples were had) but then fancied something at around 8.30. There wasn’t really any need for it and it was a snack that was within my ww points but I’m trying to give up eating for any reason other than hunger! Never mind. I’ll just watch that one today as we forge ahead with day 4!

corkernewyorker · 04/02/2021 08:36

We have snow, lots and lots of snow here. I cleared the driveway and pavements around the property yesterday and must have burnt a ton of energy. But the evening walk as cut short as my feet were too cold injust wellies (my walking boots were left outside from earlier and snow had blown under the car port and completely filled them!). Tonight I will be prepared for a proper stomp in the snow with dry walking boots!)

Trying not to restrict food as it all goes to pot. More trying not to go back for seconds and filling up on the veg elements. So tonight we are having lasagne but I'll make a big salad to go on the side and eat a smaller portion of lasagne.

We can do this.

RunningKatie · 04/02/2021 10:14

Envious of the snow corkernewyorker ours has all gone though it looks like we may get more over the weekend.
I am so pleased to be sticking to this, I did two walking fitness workouts on YouTube yesterday as I didn't manage to get out.
Told DH last night I've had no crisps or biscuits "all month", he chuckled but knows I need to do this.
Day 4 - still going strong! Have a great day everyone. Smile

abouttogoon · 04/02/2021 11:17

corkernewyorker oh I'm jealous too! Miserable rain here!

Belindabelle · 04/02/2021 12:10

First couple of days I was good, but yesterday was shocking.

Indiscriminate eating, absolutely no need for it. I fasted until 1pm then I just sort of grazed all day. No no no. This is why I don’t lose weight. Sure my food was low carb but the calories were far too high. Nuts, cheese, slices of cured meat. An all day buffet of food but no actual meals.

Right today I will have two proper meals and no grazing in between.

Weather has been rubbish all week. I managed a long walk on Monday and really enjoyed it but since then I haven’t really been over the door. The forecast for the next week is terrible.

I am defiantly not buying any exercise equipment but I may have to invest in some serious outdoor gear as I wanted to walk 100 miles by the end of February.

ButterfliesnWaterfalls · 04/02/2021 13:34

Hello everyone.

I'd love to start too.

I've been doing Intermittent Fasting since the start of January 2021.

Started with 16:8 and now 18:6.

Have cut back on snacking but tend to eat normal meals.

Start weight: 12 stone.
Current: 11.7lb.
Goal weight: 10 stone.

Onamissionn · 04/02/2021 18:04

Had a wobble today and ate a chocolate bar but have managed to stick to under 1200 cals everyday and 16:8 fast. Feeling surprisingly full. Easiest way for me has been to have a plate of frozen mixed veg and a portion of meat/fish for dinner every night. Easy to stick to and remember without faffing about wondering what’s low calorie

ButterfliesnWaterfalls · 04/02/2021 18:44

@Onamissionn I am thinking of doing that too! Might meal prep this weekend and see what happens.

LBB2020 · 04/02/2021 19:07

I’ve managed to stick to my calories again today and went for a walk with both DC (one in the pushchair and one in the carrier). We had a sausage casserole from one of the Body Coach cook books for dinner with extra veggies on the side. Now I just need to stay out of the kitchen cupboards for the rest of the evening! (this time of day is the hardest for me, when both children are in bed/sleeping and I can sit and relax with a cup of tea in peace I’d usually have chocolate or biscuits etc)

MercuryRising · 04/02/2021 20:02

I know I'm a little late but would live to join you. My start weight as of this morning is 12.11. I would like to be 10stone. So almost 3 stone to lose 😔

LaCicciolina · 04/02/2021 22:02

Had a reasonable day today - I'm low carbing rather than calorie counting so it's harder to measure success but I'll know when I get on the scales in a few days time (I like to leave it a week before I weigh when I start a new diet so I can see a bit of a drop). I couldn't face trying the jeans of truth on in the end as I know it will be an uncomfortable experience so I'm going to leave it a few more days when I've hopefully shrunk a bit. Hope everyone else is doing ok. I am determined to have rid myself of this pesky stone by Easter.

thesunwillout · 04/02/2021 22:44

Yes give yourself a bit of time before facing the jeans of truth.
Set a date with them?
March 1st?

I had porridge oats for breakfast.
I had a few crackers, then veggie sausages and a small portion of oven chips with lots of salad.

All surprisingly filling.

Dessert is a small Baileys. I overdid the pre Xmas Baileys offers in each supermarket. I'm quite enjoying that as a late evening treat tbh!!

DisappearingHelen · 05/02/2021 07:10

Morning all and welcome to newcomers!

@Belindabelle I hope you had a better day and didn’t beat yourself up too much about the previous grazing day. If you wanted you could try some of the online video exercise classes (until you get your weatherproof gear!) Leslie Sansone is pretty well regarded for her generally chill and low impact walk vids and I’d totally count them towards your mileage goal!

I managed another on plan day yesterday but accidentally end up eating later than intended. It’s no big deal but I’m trying to fast between 8pm-8am as I’m hoping it’ll kill the bedtime munchies and help regulate hormones etc. So that’s today’s goal -stick to plan (though Friday is mini treat night) and remember to stop at 8pm!

Good luck all.

LBB2020 · 05/02/2021 07:21

Morning all, just weighed myself and have lost 1lb so I’m now 10st7lb, happy with that after not the best week with food!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 05/02/2021 08:44

Checking in - I haven't been brilliant exercise wise as the weather has been awful, but I have managed 10,000 steps a day. I was 10stone 8 on 1 Feb, then 10/7 the rest of the week, and somehow back at 10/8 this morning!
