Anyone want to join me? It's 1st February tomorrow which seems a good day to start.

Three stone to lose here, I can't put it off any longer. I hate being overweight.

Nothing fits me and I am so miserable.

Starting tomorrow!!! Going hardcore TFR for 4weeks, because I have put on weight SO FAST the past few months I need to loose it fast and get right out of snacking/overeating habits before I start a sensible long term diet/way of eating.
I've got Freesoul dual use shakes as I know I like the taste. They're not as low carb as lots of TFR diets (I did Lipotrim once before in 2012).
I'm quite significantly overweight, BMI of over 30. I have about 3 stone to loose.
I'm nervous as when I have dieted before I haven't been stuck at home in my kitchen all day every day ... Confused
Good luck everyone!

serran · 01/02/2021 06:09

Good morning everyone and thanks for joining me.

@Monkeytennis97 5st loss is such an amazing achievement. That is such a huge amount of weight to lose and it gives me hope.

Will weigh in soon so I have a starting point.

Just came on to start a 1st Feb thread and here you all are! Please could I join you Smile

I weighed this morning - 13 stone 10.5 pounds Blush I've been heavier than this after having my babies, but only just! This is very bad!

I'm in a real slump. I'm a SAHM of two boys (3 and 2), no pre-school at the moment and their sleep is hit and miss. I started lockdown well with loads of walking with the pushchair, but then went through an awful period of sleep and undid all of my hard work. My main thing though is food, I start the day well and plan a healthy evening meal, but during the afternoon I can eat enough cake and chocolate for the entire week.

I'm going for a long walk with a good friend this morning, which I'm thoroughly looking forward to.

I would love the loose 2 stone and be just below 12 stone. That doesn't make me skinny by any means, but it's a weight I don't feel too bad at and is reasonably maintainable if I put my mind to it.

For those of you offended by swearing, look away now.

Fuck Fuck Fuck, I am 12st 3. Never been this heavy.

Welcome to the new joiners.

Lockdownbear · 01/02/2021 07:51

Can I join too?
I've tried a few of these but never stuck with it. I've about 3 stone to loose. Its crept up slowly and lockdown just hasn't helped.

Game plan is Fast 16:8 and cut back on the junk.

StrawberryFizz26 · 01/02/2021 08:03

I'm joining too. I've been slowly putting on weight over the past 3 years, I'll weigh myself this morning but think I'm going to be about 12stone 2lb, I've never been that heavy and would like to get back down to 10stone.

I've had 10 days laid up in bed after an operation and all I've done is eat and eat and eat!!

Dpuppy is now 6 months so can do longer walks, so the plan is to eat right, fish/veg & stir fry, eggs/spinach, maybe throw in a huel or 2 and to do a lot of walking. My mental health has started to decline from being on bed rest for so long so I really need to get back into walking. I'm going to give pilates a go too, aiming for 3 x a week.

I was reading another thread the other day and they were aiming for 1lb a week, which seems really doable and it would take around 28 weeks to lose 2 stone. I've tried keto before but don't want to eat all the meat and at the time, I was drinking too much so I'm also ditching the booze.

Good luck everyone!!! We can do this.

Clutterbugsmum · 01/02/2021 08:07

I'll join.

I have a lot of weight to lose, as does DH.

We going to try the 8 week blood sugar diet to kick start us. And on non fast days make sure we eat properly.

We have got into some really bad habits in the last year.

thesunwillout · 01/02/2021 08:08

Morning, I had a sudden realisation a couple of days ago that the Xmas pounds were turning into January pounds.
Then realised February pounds would be happening if I didn't face up to it.
Was still buying choc, puddings so I could have some cream. A half price box of crackers for cheese etc...

Xmas hangover really.

I got down to 11st just before Xmas, with thoughts of being about 10st 2. I'm now 11.5 but if I don't act now it's going to keep going up.

I'm perimenopause wonder woman, only 5ft 3 and my jeans look awful.

So far (2 days😆) I've tried to drink more water, haven't eaten 5 biscuits for breakfast, and as a vegetarian am trying to up the protein.

Be great to check in here and actually stick to that, so thanks for starting this thread op.

StrawberryFizz26 · 01/02/2021 08:29

Fuck!!! 12stone 3 & 1/2 when I've just weighed myself.

helenb706 · 01/02/2021 08:45

I'm in and serious this time! I am perimenopause and heavier than I have ever been eLockven during pregnancy. Being stuck at home means I can hide in baggy clothes as I don't have to go to any meetings... I have even learnt the art of soft focus on zoom so that my chubby face isn't as obvious. About 2 and a half stone gone on over the last 3 years... a good stone and a half over lockdown. Too much booze that leads to chocolate munching that leads to self loathing the next morning ... good intentions through the day then the cycle starts again.
Realistically we all have around 10 weeks before we could potentially have to face the outside world in any meaningful way plus the weather will be warmer and baggy jumpers won't be able to hide the bulges.3lbs a week should be doable therefore over 2 stone of lard disposed of.

I aim to post every evening as motivation - feel free to berate me if I don't show up through shame! Happy Monday...x

istheresomethingwrongwithme · 01/02/2021 08:54

@helenb706 your post really makes sense to me.

I hate lockdown, but the thought of restrictions being lifted makes me anxious because I'll have to see people and wear real clothes again. The weather will be nicer and I won't be able to hide under my big coat like I do when I do the weekly food shop.

That's really sad isn't it. I'm desperate to see my friends but I don't want them to see me like this. I know they wouldn't care, but I do.

Disposableplates · 01/02/2021 08:56

Can I join please? I have at least 3.5 stone to lose! Lost 4lbs since the middle of January. But feel it’s going really slowly, working out as well so can see differences.
I feel this is the perfect time for a reset as no distractions of going out for food or drinks! Just need to curb the chocolate habit!
I have downloaded the happy scale app to monitor trends etc, thanks for the recommendation on this thread!

Lockdownbear · 01/02/2021 09:10

Yip 10 weeks!

What diet is everyone proposing to use?
Today I'm thinking 16:8 Fast but would consider doing a shake for a few weeks to really get going.

Ellieboolou33 · 01/02/2021 09:26

Oh lovely can I join too!

I'm 15st 1lb and 5ft 4 so look like a big round bouncy ball, no clothes fit, no confidence. Can't blame the baby anymore as she is 5!

Using My Fitness Pal, 1650-1700 cals a day, lost 4st doing this pre baby.

I'll be weighing every Monday

jellybellynomore · 01/02/2021 09:33

Please can I join! Thank you so much for this thread.
I feel so low about myself that I just have to sort it out. Every week I try and fail and end up fatter than I was before. Chocolate & cake is my nemesis.
I need to lose 3 stone (nearly 2 stone gained during lockdown) I am so so cross with myself. Lockdown has been particularly hard with WFH and homeschooling, I am constantly in need of snacks to keep me going.
I'm also on the short side so there is no hiding it!
The mention of some kind of normality in 10 weeks has just sent chills down me as I will be in public more often and the weather is likely to be warmer so no more hiding under big coats.

So I've already eaten breakfast this morning, my weigh in day will be Mondays but will weigh in the morning. I think I'm about about 12 st Confused
Thinking of doing WW as the app is already on my phone Blush
Good luck everyone x

helenb706 · 01/02/2021 09:40

I'm going to do lighter life with a twist in that I will only have 3 offerings a day and allow myself tea with almond milk. I can't cope without tea aswell as wine and chocolate. I know it is expensive but I gave loads of it already... funnily enough similar to fitness dvds in that just purchasing doesn't seem to equal weight loss.

DisappearingHelen · 01/02/2021 09:41

Hi all,

I’m joining in. I’ve been dithering with weight for a year or so but perhaps the thread will help this time. I’m 13st 1lb and 1.5st of that is lockdown weight! I’d like to get back to 11.5 and then down to 10st which is top of the healthy weight for me at 5’3”. I can’t remember ever being that low before!

I’m a slow but steady diet-er thanks to some disordered eating issues. If I go too hard or fast then i ricochet terribly and it gets worse so I’m going be mad envious of the bigger losers but I’ll get there in the end. I’d love to be at 10st before next year (when I turn 40!) so that’s the goal.

This morning so far I’ve been an angel food-wise but evenings are my danger zone! Good luck to you all and thanks for the nice supportive environment this already is!

HadEnoughOfBears · 01/02/2021 09:43

Yes me! Weighed on Saturday and need to lose 2 stones to start with and then another 1/2 after that. Concentrating on the 2 first.
Weigh in day will be Saturday.

corkernewyorker · 01/02/2021 09:46

I'm in. I put on a stone and half last year and Christmas. Had a bit of a wake up call as over Christmas was unwell and combined with overeating and not going out all my heart went all over the place. I have had problems with blood pressure in the past but I was too scared to measure it to see what it was or what rate my heart was - very very stupid I know. It gave me the wake up call I needed. So I have been walking between 15 and 20K steps a day in January and have come down from 11 stone 8 to 11 stone 2. I want to get down to 10 stone ideally, but will be doing it slowly as the minute I start to restrict my diet it all goes to pot and I start binge eating shite.

Thank you for the company ladies.

corkernewyorker · 01/02/2021 09:49

Oh, meant to say am 5ft 4 and am comfortable at 10 stone, which is top of ideal BMI range but is what suits me best.

thesunwillout · 01/02/2021 09:54

What foods fill you up and feel like you've had something decent.

This morning I've gone back after months to the fage 2% Greek yogurt. Two big spoons, handful of blue berries.
Sometimes have a small banana chopped in it, sometimes a small handful of special k.

I like this yoghurt cos the texture is really thick. Not a fan of runny yogurt at all.

Belindabelle · 01/02/2021 10:04

I am another one making the most of it being the 1st of a new month on a Monday. That is serial dieter Nirvana and a chance not to be missed.

Have about 5 stone to lose but just going to concentrate on losing 7lbs to get to 14st 12 to begin with. I haven’t been in that stone bracket for years. Then I will take it a stone at a time.

Intend to combine Intermittent Fasting with low carb and reduced calorie. No alcohol for 4 weeks at least.

Going to try and walk 100 miles by the end of the month too.

Good luck everyone. We have got this!

Shelovesamystery · 01/02/2021 10:17

I'm also in. Weighed myself this morning, 11st 2lb, it's been creeping up. I'm 5'4 and look best at around 10 stone (with regular Pilates to keep me toned).

I would usually count calories but I know I just get annoyed with logging every single thing that passes my lips and give up. So I'm just going to eat healthy meals and stop the late night binging on chocolate and ice cream. I'm going to do 3 jogs a week (atm it's at least 1, sometimes 2 so doable I reckon) and 30 mins of Pilates twice a week to get more toned. Will also aim for at least 10,000 steps a day so plenty of walks. I find I prefer to exercise as much as I can so that I can eat more Grin I've never been able to stick to a restrictive diet, only ever lost weight through exercise and mild sacrifices on food.

Good luck everyone! We can do this!

DisappearingHelen · 01/02/2021 10:17

I’m a big fan of thick yogurts too. I make my own, which is a slight hassle, even with an instant pot, but means I can strain it for 8 hours and it gets mega thick!!
