Anyone want to join me? It's 1st February tomorrow which seems a good day to start.

Three stone to lose here, I can't put it off any longer. I hate being overweight.

Nothing fits me and I am so miserable.

@StrawberryFizz26 we are pretty much the same weight, half a pound in it. How tall are you, I'm 5'4 and every pound shows.

Hi,

Can I join too??

Roughly 12st 2. Have a goal of 20lbs overall, and for Feb I'd like to lose as much as possible but without putting myself under too much stress, thinking 10lbs is doable?

Need motivation! Always have an excuse to talk myself out of exercising, especially now working from home!

LBB2020 · 01/02/2021 10:48

Ok, I’m 10st 8lbs so in total I’d like to lose at least a stone by Easter which I think is doable. I’m going to stop eating after 7pm as then when it all seems to go wrong and I start binge eating chocolate and biscuits! I don’t want to be too strict as I’m EBF my 4 month old but I really want to start feeling and looking more like myself again

StrawberryFizz26 · 01/02/2021 10:52

serran I'm 5'5. Mine is all belly, always bloated and always look about 5 months pregnant. Not helping that I'm due on and have just had a laparoscopy and then it's my arse and thighs.

I've just put some eggs onto boil and am going i take the dog for a nice walk into town. The sun is shining here and it's a bloody gorgeous day.

StrawberryFizz26 · 01/02/2021 10:56

Good luck & welcome to everyone. Let's all promise to be as kind to ourselves as we would be each other.

Belindabelle · 01/02/2021 10:58

I am another who is willing and dreading lockdown to end in equal measure.

It will be lovely to see friends and wider family again but at the same time I would love to be less fat when I do.
It would also be lovely to be able to wear actual proper structured fitted clothes come Spring when hopefully the weather will be better.

chickennuggets2 · 01/02/2021 11:04

Morning everyone I'm also on a weight loss journey post baby! I've lost 2 stone so far so hoping being in this thread with keep me motivated. Iv hit such a wall since Christmas, need to get my fat ass going.

I've actually found great success with the Blood Sugar Diet, really enjoyed all the food etc so hoping to get back on that for another 8 weeks!

Cornishbelle · 01/02/2021 11:05

I'll join please 3 stone needing to be gone still carrying baby weight and realised the other day she will be starting school next year! Good luck to all I'm aiming for intermittent fasting and couch 2 5k

StrawberryFizz26 · 01/02/2021 11:47

chickennuggets2 that's amazing, well done.

What's the blood sugar diet?

HolaVida · 01/02/2021 11:52

I'm going to join too.

Current weight is 12st 11 (down from 13st 6 in October).

Would like to get down to 11st, but for now am going to try and lose a stone by easter - just so I can fit into my clothes again.

Like many people, gained weight during first lockdown. Some crap family situations have led to even further gain.

Am doing 16:8 with a couple of days 5:2 as part of that. I tend to sabotage myself at weekends, isn't great. My weakness is crisps so am going to cut them out completely.

IsoIsobaby20 · 01/02/2021 12:44

Can I join too. January was a terrible month for me personally so I knew I didn't have the energy to diet or do dry January so I was always going to start today.

I'm 44 and carrying weight around my middle... I never have. Also weighed in at 11st 8 Today heaviest I have been not being pregnant. Also only 5'3 so I look round!

My plan is - calorie reduction and healthy eating.

  • no wine - I cannot do moderation with wine so just need it off the table; and
-15,000 steps a day- when I walk the dog enough that isn't that big a deal; and
  • 3 exercise sessions a week. Not a massive ask.

Will check in and weigh on a Saturday!

Shelovesamystery · 01/02/2021 13:04

Checking in on day 1 Grin

I had honey nut shredded wheat with SS milk for breakfast. Toast, scrambled eggs, grilled tomatoes and a couple of bacon medallions for lunch. Lamb chops are marinating in the fridge to have with rice and veg for dinner.

I've got a share bag of malteasers and big bar of dairy milk in the cupboard (did not consider the diet when I was shopping last week 🤦‍♀️) so I know my big challenge is going to be resisting them when I get sugar cravings after the kids are in bed later.

I need to get a walk in soon, I'm currently on 2800 steps so I really need to get those up this afternoon. Need to fit in 30 mins of Pilates at some point as well, probably after the kids have gone to bed.

How is everyone's first day going?

Lovelymonkeyninetynine · 01/02/2021 13:38

My day is going well food wise, I'm following ww on the app.
I'm proud of myself even getting to this point in the day without caving as I'm Pre mentrual, home schooling 2 dc working and am just beginning this awful divorce 😫
Onwards and upwards

LH1987 · 01/02/2021 13:43

Day 1, I have just purged my cupboards, all chocolate biscuits crisps etc have been thrown out. In classic pre diet fashion I binge ate about 1000 calories before going to bed last night. So probably need to add an extra pound to my weight loss goal!

I’m going to try 16:8 as I seem to be at my worst in the evening and I never eat breakfast anyway.

Good luck everyone!

chickennuggets2 · 01/02/2021 14:39

@StrawberryFizz26 it's a diet by Michael Mosley, I read his book and it's seriously motivating! Then I bought the recipe book. It's aimed to bring blood sugar levels down with people who have diabetes, i don't have diabetes but was recommended this diet, honestly life changing. It's designed to reprogram your body.

StrawberryFizz26 · 01/02/2021 15:42

chickennuggets2 ah, I think I have the 800 calorie book of his. I always struggle to stick with anything at all so haven't given it a proper go.

I've had 2 boiled eggs & the last pack of crisps out of the cupboard, I'm trying to resist the slab of Victoria sponge that's in the fridge!!

I have just been for a decent walk and am on 9k steps.

justadaydreamer · 01/02/2021 15:54

Can I join too please. Baby is 10 months next week and I am still 3 stone overweight (had weight to lose before I was pregnant!) 5ft1 and look horrific Confused I need to move more and eat less junk!

RunningKatie · 01/02/2021 16:57

Joining in too. I had good intentions for January but am instead getting through home schooling powered by biscuits.
This last week I have done 10k steps a day, I really miss the walk to and from school, and work.
I need to hide all the chocolate I got for my January birthday and start afresh.
The thought that it's 10 weeks till I stand at the school gate is hopefully a motivator!

abouttogoon · 01/02/2021 17:02

Day off work today so been out fur 2 longish walks, roasted vegetables with salmon and prawns fur dinner then nothing else til the morning , tonic water but no gin . That's the plan!!

Passthebubbly · 01/02/2021 19:09

For anyone with sugar craving the muller light chocolate pots are lush and under 100cal

chickennuggets2 · 01/02/2021 19:19

Yes @StrawberryFizz26 he also has that diet, this one is 800 cal too and then it is recommended to go in 5:2 after the 8 weeks.

It is very hard to stick to it, my motivation last time was my husband was deployed and I wanted to surprise him when he got back lol

istheresomethingwrongwithme · 01/02/2021 20:08

Evening everyone one.

A good first day for me. Went out for a long walk with a friend which was lovely despite the rain. Pushed both toddlers in the pushchair so hoping that burnt extra calories.

Have eaten Wheetabix, lots of fruit and roast pork for tea. Feeling good.

MIL is having the boys for a couple of hours tomorrow morning, so will either do another walk or attempt a run if walking friend is busy.

IsoIsobaby20 · 01/02/2021 20:31

Anybody else find this time of day the hardest. It is day 1 but I crave chocolate with a cup of tea at this time of night. I will resist it but have spotted it as one of my weak spots...

I've started brushing and flossing my teeth earlier to stop me eating my 9pm chocolate/cake/biscuits/anything sweet then only drinking water
