Morning all! Welcome to the monthly thread for 7lbs/3kg per month! All are welcome whether new or old. There is a huge varieties of diets and exercise regime and loads of helpful hints.

All I ask for is the positivity and support that's been shown in every single one of these threads so far. You are all AMAZING!

Despite only losing 3 of my planned 7lbs last month I am ON IT for September and working hard for a much better loss.

My total loss so far is 8 stone and 2lbs and I still have 4 stone to go. Breaking it down into these half stone targets makes it feel much more manageable for me :)

Link to previous thread is here per month - its August! www.mumsnet.com/Talk/weightlosschat/3983285-lose-7lbs-3kg-per-month-its-august

Feel better soon @Shedtheload Flowers definitely take it easy and be kind to yourself.

Hope everyone is doing ok.

I worked an extra shift this morning and then went immediately to swim 1km. Managed a slightly quicker time and another swimmer complimented me on how much faster I am than when I started, made my morning but I'm shattered

When I saw DH this afternoon, he said I was walking like I felt good, looking happier, slimmer and more confident Smile Today has been a good day.

NerrSnerr · 25/09/2020 18:57

Hope you feel better @Shedtheload and I'm glad you've had a good day @GetTheStartyParted.

I'm tempted to have a night off tonight. I have done well in September and think I may get a takeaway. We didn't get much sleep at all last night as the three year old was really restless and after a busy day at work I have done swimming lessons and have solo bedtime as my husband is working until 9. Yes! Talked myself into it- going to have a treat.

GetTheStartyParted · 25/09/2020 19:36

Ooo, what are you going to have @NerrSnerr ? I'll live vicariously through you Grin Sounds like you have earned it!

I have to wait a couple of weeks for my next treat, going out for DH's birthday - we can't decide where to go though!

NerrSnerr · 25/09/2020 20:21

@GetTheStartyParted getting a spicy vegetable pizza. Can't wait!

DownUdderer · 25/09/2020 22:00

Yes, I'm in Australia!

Howmanysleepsnow · 26/09/2020 08:29

I felt awful all day yesterday, really cold and tired with a headache. I had a nap in the afternoon, and slept for 10 hours last night. In between I snacked constantly (still low carb, but more than I’d normally eat). I was fully expecting to have put on weight, but I’ve lost another lb. Maybe I ought to listen to my body more often!
Anyway, I’ve finally hit 10st. Hopefully I’ll make it into the 9s by the end of the month!

GetTheStartyParted · 26/09/2020 08:52

Lovely @NerrSnerr Hope you enjoyed it.

@Howmanysleepsnow sounds like you needed the rest! Congrats on reaching 10st, thats amazing.

DownUdderer · 26/09/2020 09:06

Shedtheload look after yourself, do what you know helps your anxiety.

The spicy veg pizza sounds lush!!

Howmanysleeps I hope you're not coming down with something.

We've had such a windy day today, I like all types of weather but I hate the wind!

I tried out the crackers I bought, some are nice, some are ok, a bit more like a biscuit really and the last type were like eating a bunch of seeds that had been dropped into some dirt!! I've had a steak and veg for dinner and now I'm fasting until breakfast tomorrow at 10:00. When I eat a yogurt for breakfast it's like the best thing I've ever eaten! Just getting through the fast is ok, but then you start looking forward to getting to eat and then when you do it's amazing!!

NerrSnerr · 26/09/2020 09:31

Hope you feel better @Howmanysleepsnow and well done on the loss. @DownUdderer I'm glad the crackers weren't too bad.

We're having a quiet day, my daughter has tennis class so I'll have a read and coffee while she does that. I then need to brave Morrison's (if they've run out of wholewheat pasta I won't be happy!!) I may try to swim tonight too.

I'm driving myself bonkers being hyper vigilant with the children. The 3 year old has been really grumpy the last few days and hasn't slept well, he's just not himself. Of course I'm convinced he's coming down with something and already mentally rearranging my work appointments while we wait for a test/ results. I need to try to chill out at bit. He's probably just being a pain in the arse toddler!!

cricketmum84 · 26/09/2020 09:37

Morning all, still bloody 16.13 today! I've been a bit naughty snacking on crisps and probably had too much cheese on occasion so I deserve a STS.

Going to try ultra low carbing for the last few days of the month to see if it gives me a boost for a better weight loss. I'm going to make a super green soup with some broccoli, leeks, asparagus and peas and add my trusted thai style spices.

@Howmanysleepsnow hope you are feeling a little better now? And woohoo for the 10st goal!

@NerrSnerr spicy veg is my absolute favourite pizza :) hope its was a good one!

@Shedtheload sending a virtual socially distanced gentle hug. I suffer terribly with anxiety too. Have you got any space to do some meditation exercises? I always used to scoff at people telling me to meditate but actually after the first guided meditation session at yoga I actually felt like I didn't have that tight knot in my chest for the first time in months. It does work.

Happy weekend everyone, I have some cleaning and tidying to do then will stick the soup maker on and have some quiet board game time with the kids :)

Spicy veg pizza sounds amazing! I just came on to say I have hit 11 stone. Hooray!
Possibly the first month ever I have met the half a stone loss!

Gives me a nice clear half a stone to lose for October. I have planned all my meals as I can't cope with doing it weekly and have planned going for some works.

I am going out to meet a friend today. Dilemma, I know she will want a drink and I don't fancy alcohol.

Shedtheload · 26/09/2020 10:53

Thank you @cricketmum84 and everyone else for your kind words. I have actually been really slack with my yoga recently and maybe that’s why my anxiety has become bad. I am going to do a session now before lunch and hopefully that will help.

cricketmum84 · 26/09/2020 11:16

Well I think today might be a write off 😂 I've just had a bag of my all time favourite chocolates sent by my sister as a little pick me up. She sent us all a bag each but mine are Rose and violet cremes from an independent chocolatier in Filey that I can't buy from very often as it's about 80 miles away. I'm so touched! And will probably eat 4 tonight and 4 tomorrow. Oops.

@DrivingAgain2020 that’s brilliant, well done!
@cricketmum84 they sound totally worth it though! What a lovely sister you have.

cricketmum84 · 26/09/2020 11:55

@Howmanysleepsnow me, my mum and sister and my nana have been trying to send little gifts to each other during lockdown as we can't see each other. I sent my nana some new jigsaws, my mum got flowers and prosecco and my sister got a red wine and cheese hamper :) it's lovely to be able to brighten up someone's day!

@cricketmum84 that’s so nice! You’re all so thoughtful.

DrivingAgain2020 · 26/09/2020 18:56

Thanks! I might have undone some with the burger I just ate but will have salad tomorrow!

DownUdderer · 27/09/2020 05:17

Drivingagain ooh a burger, I haven't had one in ages! Yum.

I made ricotta lemon pancakes today, I don't often make pancakes because they're delicious and I could live on them. I'd never made these before, they turned out really good. The kids loved them, and they are usually so fussy! So not exactly healthy but enjoyable.

DrivingAgain2020 · 27/09/2020 09:51

@DownUdderer Hopefully this isn't offensive but it was the best one ever! Ricotta and lemon sounds delish.

NerrSnerr · 27/09/2020 10:03

Morning all. I had a few drinks last night as had a catch up with a friend over Houseparty. Really need to make sure I don't eat crap today. Had yoghurt, banana, strawberry and Chia seeds for breakfast so started well.

Just making sure I have a good couple of days and end the month well. I have a yoga class at 5 and am going to do some baking with the children. Will have a quiet one- and am going to try and stay away from the cheese on toast and chocolate.

DownUdderer · 27/09/2020 10:29

Not offensive at all drivingagain! I think it's great to really enjoy something!

Howmanysleepsnow · 27/09/2020 14:54

Still 10st and getting bored of low carb! Has anyone got any suggestions for a quick, tasty dinner for tonight before I cave and eat pasta?
I’m getting fed up of salads, omelette and fish/prawn/crab-with-asparagus-or roasted-broccoli even though I loved all these at the start.

Howmanysleepsnow · 27/09/2020 15:29

Those aren’t all it eat btw, I’ll do family meals like chilli/ curry and have cauliflower rice with mine, but on the days I’m making everyone else pasta/ something with potatoes/ pizza/ quesadillas/ whatever I tend to fall back on these and I’m bored

cricketmum84 · 27/09/2020 19:46

Bit late now sorry but I would have had an omelette and backed beans or some veggie sausages with a tin of tomatoes, a tin of butter beans and paprika and garlic just in a bowl.

cricketmum84 · 27/09/2020 19:46

*baked not backed lol
