Morning all! Welcome to the monthly thread for 7lbs/3kg per month! All are welcome whether new or old. There is a huge varieties of diets and exercise regime and loads of helpful hints.

All I ask for is the positivity and support that's been shown in every single one of these threads so far. You are all AMAZING!

Despite only losing 3 of my planned 7lbs last month I am ON IT for September and working hard for a much better loss.

My total loss so far is 8 stone and 2lbs and I still have 4 stone to go. Breaking it down into these half stone targets makes it feel much more manageable for me :)

Link to previous thread is here per month - its August! www.mumsnet.com/Talk/weightlosschat/3983285-lose-7lbs-3kg-per-month-its-august

I can't shift any weight this week because of my period! I'm eating well and doing everything the same, damn hormones!

GetTheStartyParted · 28/09/2020 08:06

Morning all, how are you all doing?

Weigh in day once again here - they come around so quickly! No loss this week but I'm fine with that, I slightly overindulged with a lovely roast chicken dinner followed by a keto brownie with cream yesterday Grin

I have a couple of days to lose another pound before the end of September, so fingers crossed 🤞

I don't have much planned for today, swimming, cleaning, walking the dogs and thats about it. It's so cold here this morning.

Have a great Monday guys.

GetTheStartyParted · 28/09/2020 08:08

@DownUdderer it's very frustrating how much hormones effect our losses but stick with it and you'll see the results of your hard work on the other side Smile

cricketmum84 · 28/09/2020 08:59

Morning all it's the start of a brand new week and I have some very good intentions!

@GetTheStartyParted yep same here, absolutely freezing! I could do with a hot breakfast but can't think of anything not carbs that I actually have in the house! I could just eat a bowl of those tinned cherry tomatoes but I don't have any :(

Plan for today is:
B - KOKO yoghurt and apple slices
L - salad with feta and garlic stuffed olives
D - something Chinese style with quorn pieces. Not spicy as DD wants quorn instead of the pork steaks I'm making for DH and biggest DD. I need some inspiration!

Have a wonderful Monday everyone!

Morning all. After not being 100% on track over the weekend I'm just trying to have a good couple of days to end the month.

I'm working from home today and then my daughter has gymnastics after school.

Just been through my jumpers and have about 5 or 6 that I'd love to get into by the end of the winter- some I haven't worn since before I was pregnant with my eldest so 7 years ago!!

Howmanysleepsnow · 28/09/2020 10:30

Half a pound up today but hoping that it’ll go again tomorrow. I’m doing 16:8 for a couple of days so hopefully that helps.
I’m really craving chocolate today and nearly bought a bar but distracted myself by buying new jeans in the next size down instead as my old ones were starting to fall down. Now I can’t have the chocolate or I can’t wear the jeans!

GetTheStartyParted · 28/09/2020 11:48

@cricketmum84 my go to low carb breakfast is scrambled eggs with cheese, delicious. The hungrier I am, the more eggs I use Grin I have had this as an early lunch after returning from swimming very hungry!

@NerrSnerr it will feel so good when you fit into those - love the kind of targets that show how far you've come.

@Howmanysleepsnow well done avoiding the chocolate.

I treated myself to a new swimsuit today, the receptionist was very complimentary on my weightloss. I feel so lucky to be surrounded by people that tell me how well I'm doing, from family and friends, colleagues and acquaintances. It really spurs me on.

cricketmum84 · 28/09/2020 13:11

@GetTheStartyParted I'm trying really hard to go vegan so omelette isn't great for me - just had a salad with a drizzle of light vegan mayo and some violife grated which I don't think was too bad - mainly leaves. Although I'm still peckish so may have a mandarin or some pomegranate seeds!

Came downstairs in my new size 16 black buttoned dress and tights this morning thinking I looked a bit Audrey Hepburn only for 12 year old DD to exclaim "ooh mum you look like you are going to a classy funeral!" Thanks for that love....

@cricketmum84 I did wonder after I posted as my sister is vegetarian and an egg avoider.

At least you were going to a classy funeral Wink I've seen your Insta, you look great!

I'm too fat for my new swimsuit. I can squeeze in but I very much look like I'm squeezed in - its not a good look Grin

cricketmum84 · 28/09/2020 15:24

Aw thanks @GetTheStartyParted I'm always so shocked by the difference in my arms and legs when I compare old and new photos.

I measured up for new winter boots as I've always had to shop online for bigger calf sizes. Omg I've lost 16cm off each calf and according to size chart should be just buying standard fit! I honestly could have cried!!

I may end up getting some eggs tonight to be honest - for me it's more about the standard of care the hens receive and how they are treated than actually eating an animal product so I would never eat supermarket eggs. My yoga teacher has chickens though and they free range in her garden so she said she would let me know if she had any spare :)

GetTheStartyParted · 28/09/2020 18:31

That is incredible! I hope you have treated yourself to some new boots to celebrate.

cricketmum84 · 28/09/2020 21:25

@GetTheStartyParted I did indeed! Went for these in the end but I did go one calf Size up as I'll be wearing them over jeans most of the time.

Buying jeans instead of chocolate is genius!

The boots look great, isn't incredible how many cm's you've lost on your legs, really well done.

I've been getting really grumpy this week because I've not lost any weight and I've been pretty good, but it's my totm. But I tried that skirt on again today, that's just over a week since I last tried it on. I'm getting closer to being able to do it up! I'm still not at the stage of being able to wear it without being cut in half, but that felt like progress! I needed that this morning. It's a lovely maxi skirt and it's really swishy so I'll be glad to get the chance to swish around in it once it fits!

DownUdderer · 29/09/2020 01:22

The skirt.

Sorry to bombard you with photos but I just looked up how to create a collage with photos on my phone and created this. Isn't it funny that day can redistribute itself and the scales don't budge!

*fat (not day)

cricketmum84 · 29/09/2020 06:00

Yasss! Yoga has given me a big push it would seem and I'm down to 16.11 this morning!! Laid in bed at 5.40 and my brain kept shouting at me to go for a run so I'm sat in my running gear about to put my trainers on. Just said to DH if I'm not back when his alarm goes off he should probably come find me as I may have collapsed somewhere.

Wow the skirt comparison pics are fab @DownUdderer! It is crazy how your shape can change so much without any actual weight loss. I still need to measure up! Will do it post run I think.

Plan for today is:
B - KOKO yoghurt and muesli for post run protein and energy
L - leftover portion of veggie oven baked biryani (no fat)
D - something with cauliflower. Haven't decided yet!

Have a lovely day folks!

@DownUdderer you can see how many Cm my calves have gone down just from my most recent comparison photo. It's on Facebook and insta so I don't mind sharing it here.

And yes the most recent pic is the "funeral dress" 😂

Your weightloss is such an inspiration cricketmum, we all see how hard you try for it, and you must feel great now! Congrats on losing a couple of lbs this morning!

Howmanysleepsnow · 29/09/2020 07:58

Wow @cricketmum84 and @DownUdderer, those pictures are amazing! You’ve both come so far!
@DownUdderer your pictures were only a couple of days apart too. I bet that feels so good!
I’m still in the same place as 4 days ago for both waist measurement and weight but I don’t mind as I’m so close to my goal weight now. Fingers crossed I hit the 9s by the end of the week.

peanutbutterdog · 29/09/2020 11:07

DownUdderer and Cricketmum, both your comparison pics are amazing. Its lovely when things do up even when the scales say there is no change so another week, DownUdderer and you'll be swishing to your hearts content! The 'funeral dress' makes ypu look fab Cricketmum so I'd embrace it if I were you!

NerrSnerr · 29/09/2020 17:57

Amazing pictures @DownUdderer and @cricketmum84, I need to do more pictures. I'm about to do a yoga class. Under my calories today so hoping for a good final day of the month weigh in tomorrow and I look forward to getting into the 10s in October.

cricketmum84 · 29/09/2020 18:36

Out of interest - did anyone watch the Freddie Flintoff doc??
