Hi, here's the new thread. Always love the new start that September brings with back to school and all the jazz. I'm unfortunately starting the month heavier, 9st2.5, bit cross with myself to be honest, know I have been comfort eating, its got to stop. Aim for this month is as ever yawn, 8st13.

16,000 steps so far today as went the shorter way to school as not enough time to go through the woods this morning. Still a pretty good effort though I think. Apparently I've only eaten 762 calories which when compared to the 1865 calories I've burned might explain why I'm so hungry 🙄😂 I was saving them up for dinner.

It's nice to be back in a routine but I'm having lots of trouble with school regarding being ecv and am worried I'll have to keep ds at home.

Hope the return to school is ok for everyone else and it's just my school that's not great.

Octopus37 · 03/09/2020 16:40

Know what you mean HoneyBadger, my 13 year old starts year 9 tomorrow, he is huge with a deep voice. Will the yoghurt thing.

Cals in brown rice fairly high aren't they? All logged sub 1200, changed my activity level as I'm not burning what I was when off but will get to fitting it in again once settle back in work, so daily allowance drastically changed. Really shows you how activity levels do impact things. I'm hoping to be 9st by Monday.
B: weetabix and milk
L: beetroot salad
D: homemade chicken curry w/brown rice
S: kiwi

IDontMindMarmite · 03/09/2020 19:04

Hidey hi, I managed 1200 today and am just off for a walk now.

SistemaAddict · 03/09/2020 20:43

I'm now over my calorie allowance at 1316 🙄 but I've burned 2180 so I'll let myself off! Slacking today at 67 floors and 7.03 miles Grin I'm planning on a walk up to see my mum tomorrow (in the garden of course) and that's about 2.5 miles extra on top of the school run.

Lalanbaba · 03/09/2020 21:18

Evening ladies,
Have had a couple of very hungry days I could have eaten all the junk of the world and then dessert. Actually been eating rubbish and skipped proper meals. Do not do this. Also craving comfort food because the weather.
Sooo today I spent the day cooking and preparing food to restock my freezer. (apparently I need a bigger freezer) funnily enough I am under 1100 cal for the day as when I cook I loose appetite
B: cereal with oat milk. Tea
L: oven baked fish with brócoli and a bit of slaw
D: sesame chicken with rice, carrots and cauliflower. Low cal ice-cream

SistemaAddict · 04/09/2020 06:43

61.2kg today 9st 8lb. Have a good day everyone. This is my first day of peace and quiet since March so I'm going to enjoy it.

IDontMindMarmite · 04/09/2020 07:46

I'm one lb down today so that's 3 of the 5 holiday gains gone. Feeling happier about it but still wish to be back to my lowest even though that was lower than I hoped to get initially.

Heygirlheyboy · 04/09/2020 07:51

Well done both! Lalanbaba so true re sugar instead of meals but yesterday's menu sounds lovely.

Drum roll for me.. 8st 13.75 Yes! Punching the air this morning Grin

SistemaAddict · 04/09/2020 07:56

Woohoo! Well done!

I have another period. It barely stopped before with the last one and now is full throttle again. Hormones are a pain.

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 04/09/2020 09:11

Hello,
Just catching up with the thread, well done everyone on your good days and hope the start of school was good for everyone. DD back on Monday and DS on Thursday. I'll miss having them about I think.
I've avoided weighing myself today. Had a 'bad' week stressing out about house moves and going out to eat when people were looking round our house. Then we lost the place we were going for. The house we're currently in is the first one we've ever owned and selling it is such a pita. So much pointless tidying!! And two more people coming today.
I will take inspiration for you lovely ladies and aim for a good amount of steps today if nothing else.

SistemaAddict · 04/09/2020 10:01

9,800 steps already today! My jeans are a tily loose all over now, not just once I've worn them for an hour. If I could find the tape measure I'd see if I've lost any inches.
I was very brave and went into the local supermarket on the way back from school. I'm going to have cup of tea in peace and watch tv as this is my first time alone since March 13th!

Lalanbaba · 04/09/2020 10:32

@Bercows enjoy the time alone!
I have been to b&m this morning and it's bloody Xmas already!!!!! Nononono.
Don't take me wrong I love Xmas, but I have to loose at least 3 more kg before trying a twigglet or an after eight
B: cereal with oat milk. Tea
L: carrot soup
D: homemade lasagne with salad
S: malt loaf. Got them for trying and I find them too bland and sticky.

SistemaAddict · 04/09/2020 10:35

Oh yes, all the Christmas type tubs of chocolates were out. I didn't take a bag so was restricted as to how much I could get and didn't want to be in there long.

HoneysuckIejasmine · 04/09/2020 10:43

Morning. DD missing second day of school due to a nervous vomit overnight Hmm she's full of beans today.

B chicken omelette
S cup a soup
L not sure - out of lettuce
D cod and chips

Octopus37 · 04/09/2020 11:00

Heygirl, that's amazing, you must be over the moon. So pleased for yur, and inspired. I'm 9st2 this morning, will keep going.

Both boys back at school today, its a relief tbh. Glad everyone's doing well.

Hangoverstruggles · 04/09/2020 11:00

Well done @Heygirlheyboy that's such an exciting milestone !

I've had a new low this morning. 9st 11. Amazed as ate a lot more on Wednesday than I'd planned to. I'm not convinced it'll stick as perfect time of the month plus early morning poo (Grin soz)

My new target on MFP is 9st 10 and I think that's as low as l'll go. From then aim to keep toning muscle. I feel I look lean and strong at this weight. Not skinny. Very pleased with a little bit of progress!

Enjoy the back to school days. Mine went yesterday with youngest starting reception. Definitely an empty nest feeling. I've got today off work to enjoy the peace so hoping to get out and do some gardening.

IDontMindMarmite · 04/09/2020 11:10

Congratulations everybody! You're doing so well! Including you Octopus.

TheHoneyBadger · 04/09/2020 16:31

Just checking in. Fasted through working today now have to try and work out what’s for dinner. May just do ds pizza and salad and do a jacket potato or something for myself.

Shattered.

SistemaAddict · 04/09/2020 21:58

New records for me today:
27,003 steps
11.14 miles
100 floors
2586 calories burned
1315 calories consumed

I'm a little tired tonight after all that and am allowing myself some bedtime lentil chips (included in above total). Those steps are due to going to the shop on the way back from school this morning so a slight detour, walking up to deliver something to my mum, and walking the extra scenic route home from school with ds. He's clocked about 5 miles himself today with no complaints and he's only 5.

I'm totally baffled though as to how I've changed my habits so well and have got the willpower to stick with it. It's not like me at all. Also baffled by how there's no inch loss on my legs but my clothes are much looser. I have lost a couple of inches off my hips and waist though.

@Octopus37 please can I ask you to tell me how you maintain your weight now you are at your goal? I know you have natural fluctuations of a pound or so but you seem to be a stable weight. I'm conscious of the fact I can't keep eating like this and losing weight but of course terrified of gaining it back again if I let go of my strictness. How do you work out your maintenance for your new weight?

Heygirlheyboy · 04/09/2020 22:30

Bercows I'm flattened just reading your activity levels! Grin

Tdee calculator will give you your maintenance cals. I look forward to that some day ha! Low intake here of 1000cals but low activity day as was online all day so didn't burn anything like my usual. Sat and Sun are the same unfortunately. But thanks for the cheers and well done Honeysuckle too! Good to see you back igglepiggle.

SistemaAddict · 05/09/2020 08:38

61kg dead on today. My tdee says maintenance is justv

SistemaAddict · 05/09/2020 08:40

Try again. Tdee maintenance says just over 2000!! I'm not not how I can go up to that much and not gain weight.

Octopus37 · 05/09/2020 09:05

Bercows, I'm not really at my goal yet, started loosing weight in January at 9st11.25, definitely want to be under 9st, 8st7 might be a bit ambitious but I have only managed to maintain where I am now since March. TBH I think part of it is the result of being off some tablets I was on and my body realising its got a metabolism after all, my starting weight wasn't far off my full term pregnancy weights both times. I have winged it a bit to be honest, tried not to go too mad, to be honest I dont eat that healthily, find it impossible as seem to have one stressful situation to deal with after another (dont we all, know I'm not alone). Keeping up my steps helps. As I said good days and bad days,, I'm still only just fitting into the very occasional 10 in trousers and skirts, need a few more pound off before I'm a proper size 10. I'm always so impressed by how much discipine everyone on here seems to have. Calorie wise I probably average out at about 2000 to stay the same. As others have said, your activity levels sound amazing, doing more steps now the kids are back ata school but not that many. Weighed 9st1.25 this morning.

OP posts:
SistemaAddict · 05/09/2020 09:32

But that's so tiny and you sound so hard on yourself.
Next week will be interesting as it will be a full normal week. They only went back to school on Wednesday this week. My daily walk is usually 5 miles on a school day so yesterday's impressive activity is not likely to be repeated very often. I can't sustain that for a start and my trainers wear out fast enough as it is.
