Me personally? In the main it’s been a way of life for nearly 3 years and I’ve lost over 30lbs. I had a bit of blip at the start of C19. After all my hard work I just started eating with impunity. Before I knew it I was10lbs up! I needed to get back on it and COVID proof myself 😬 I calorie count, log via MFP app, Intermittent fast, eat-low carb Mediterranean style aka Fast800 Plan and try to stay well hydrated.

There are so many enjoyable lifestyle options out there without the need to resort to extreme measures. Whatever way you choose, it needs to be enjoyable & sustainable for the long term. This is a long term commitment rather than a quick fix. I also rarely drink alcohol and keep sugar to a minimum. I exercise by doing walking vids & strength sessions with light weighs.

As no one size fits all members need to follow their own way of eating. Nonetheless this thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

There is no shaming, competition or harsh words to be found on this thread. We are in this together.

How do you plan to do it? What do you want to achieve? What excites you about your future self? Together, we can create a whole new you!

Jump in 😊. You’ll be glad you did this time next month 😀.

That seems clear. I'm assuming we can do what we want as long as we wear masks but I'm not sure about meeting in another families house. When any of us visit my PIL we stay in the garden or go in and wear a mask.

Hi Everyone

It’s nearing the end of the month ... would you like a brand new sparkly thread for September or shall we carry on this one?

OAN I’m also confused about C19 rules. I can’t keep up 🤷‍♀️ Just keep yourself safe is what I say.

A good day today.

Did my week 3 day 3 exercise video so that's Butt and Thighs aching again Grin

B - Costa skinny ice latte
L - wafer thin chicken and salsa mini wrap
D - beef casserole with mushrooms, onions, carrot and tomatoes in.

Bought some half price Nivea firming body cream which I've applied liberally from eyebrows to toes, never know it might miraculously melt away some flab and cellulite, if not at least I'll be well moisturised!

Oh and @TheRealHousewife I think a new thread to keep with the pattern.

@TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 Lots of hospitals will take hand knitted hats for premature babies.
Today has been all over the place. It is properly chilly and I have been for a run. My lettuce and radish seeds are coming up. We will be out for a walk later, after dinner.
So far have had cornflakes with yoghurt and seeds; a plum; pasta with hummus (homemade) and tomato relish and a tangerine
Lots of tea seems to be a good distraction.

fallfallfall · 30/08/2020 07:48

@TheRealHousewife, I’m fine either way, continue or new. Totally unhelpful.
@rivierliedje, dh has brought in 3 cabbages, and a big bag of apples. Sauerkraut fermenting, I’ll make applesauce tomorrow and new in the fall kitchen...bean sprouts! Yup got those little green things growing in a jar.

Quiet day today, lots of lounging around although we did take a walk to the park this morning.

B - nothing
L - leftover casserole
D - bacon and scrambled eggs

S - Greek yoghurt, salt & vinegar peanuts and 2 caffe lattes

Does anyone have any nice plans for Bank holiday Monday?

We're having a very exciting trip to a local retail park, where DD and DH will wander Home bargains and B&M, apparently they have something left on their shopping list for my birthday in a couple of weeks. I will run as quickly as possible round Aldi, then use the rest of my alone time to sit and have coffee at Costa.

September’s Thread

Hope you’re all enjoying your Bank Holiday Break 😊

I’m doing my Zoom Yoga later this morning then pottering in garden tidying up and planting up some winter planters.

Today is OMAD, roast chicken & veg with raspberries & strawberries with cream. Plenty of water, tea and a cup of coffee with cream.

What are you planning?

Still at the same weight for 3 days so ill accept sunshine's gavel. 🤣

Not having the best day, just struggling to figure out if I can help my mum better. She's become dad's carer over time and this year has been really hard for them. They weren't in good form at all today, he's not sleeping well. I took him for a nice walk which was ok.
