I'm with you! Need to lose at least 3 stone Blush

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 25/07/2020 17:28

Last Monday I came out of denial and accepted I wasn't just a bit overweight. I was in fact obese at over 16st.

Through a mixture of sensible eating and increased exercise, I've lost over half a stone. 4 more to go to approach healthy weight.

We can all do this.

LimeJ · 25/07/2020 17:33

Hello you two, I thought I was going to be left doing this on my own. Thanks so much for joining.

I think I weigh around 13 stone so roughly 3 to lose. I shall weigh myself in the morning.

Me! I have about 3 stone to lose.

LimeJ · 25/07/2020 17:37

@Aroundtheworldin80moves well done losing half a stone so far, that must give you incentive to carry on.

I'm doing calorie counting (1200 a day) combined with 16:8, which really helps me limit the snacks.
I started on 29 June and have lost 11.5 lbs so far - I'm at 13st 9.5 now. Ideally would like to get to 10st, but 11st is my first goal.

monkeytennis97 · 25/07/2020 17:42

I'm in Smile Have been losing weight since lockdown (3 and a half stone gone now) but I still have another 2 stone until I am comfortably in the 'overweight' category and another 3.5 stone until 'normal'. Aiming for comfortably overweight by October. Good luck everyone!!

LimeJ · 25/07/2020 17:46

@Chocarocker we both have 3 stone to lose, I really want to do this.

LimeJ · 25/07/2020 17:48

@SansaClegane and @monkeytennis97 you are both doing really well. I hope I can stick with it and get good results like you. I hate being so tubby and I feel awful every time I catch sight of myself.

Can I join .. I need to lose nearly 5 stone! I’ve been messing about yo-yo-ing and really need to get on track and stop messing about x

BingoDingo · 25/07/2020 17:52

I'm in Grin
2 stone 5lbs to lose to bring me down to 10Stone exactly! Started SW a fortnight ago and walking 10,000 Steps every day. The weight is starting to come off but very slowly!! Sad

Chocarocker · 25/07/2020 17:53

@LimeJ I know in theory that I can do it as I lost 2.5 stone last year but then got tendinitis in my ankle which prevented me from exercising at all and then came lock down and I have put it all back on again Blush

LimeJ · 25/07/2020 17:59

We can all do this, we just need to stick at it. I have got to the point where I am constantly worrying about my weight and I am very upset with how I look. I'm pretty disgusted with myself to be honest.

I have 3 stone to lose too! Can I join in?
I've only lost a stone in the last year since having DD and now I'm restarting work next week barely able to fit into my uniform Grin

LimeJ · 25/07/2020 18:01

@BingoDingo do you have a Fitbit? I have one somewhere lurking in the back of a cupboard. I'm going to go look for it. 10,000 steps a day would be a great start and something to focus on.

Me too please. Have lost 8lb so far but 2 stone + to go.

I started with Noom but have switched to My fitness pal.

It's working so far.

LimeJ · 25/07/2020 18:02

@RosieposiePuddingandPi thank you for joining us.

Me please, 3 stone to lose 😳

TheWashingMachine · 25/07/2020 18:39

Me too, 3 stone to go. I feel so miserable about it and have just scoffed a load of hazelnuts. I'm new to dieting and exercise. What is recommended? I see noom advertised a lot.

LimeJ · 25/07/2020 18:40

3 stone to lose seems quite popular 🤣

Sforsh49 · 25/07/2020 19:08

I think I've about 1.5 stone to loose, I'm starting tomorrow. Already made mushroom soup to take to work and corned beef hash for dinner. Together that's about 700 cals. My Fitness Pal is downloaded and ready! We're away for a weekend with friends in September (glamping and socially distant) but all the other wives are 10 years younger than me so I want to feel good in myself when we're together (they're all lovely it's just me that has this I'm older self conscious thing!)

SansaClegane · 25/07/2020 19:14

LimeJ I think in a way that's good - feeling disgusted with yourself - because it will help you get started and keep going. I always have to reach this point where I think I really can't go on like this, I hate the way I look and clothes look on me, I need to do something!
Obvs don't let it turn to self-loathing but use the energy and turn it into something positive.

SansaClegane · 25/07/2020 19:17

P. S. im using "Nutracheck" calorie counting app, I found this really straightforward as it has a clear layout and you can scan all UK foods (I have found a lot of apps to be very US centric).

hodgepodge21 · 25/07/2020 19:18

Me please! I have a (nearly) one year old and have been losing weight since he was born. Started at 15st8, and lost 3 stone so far! Still over 2 stone to go, which feels so far away. I am desperately in need of some motivation, especially as I'm going back to work in just over a week!
