Oh dear, I'm so tubby. I can't hide it any longer. I need help and support from other fatties who will understand 😭

Starting tomorrow, no more excuses. Please join me.

@SansaClegane yes you are right. I can't stand the thought of getting any fatter. I do not really recognise myself, every bit of me looks fat. I'm so on this tomorrow.

@hodgepodge21 well done on losing all that weight. That is amazing. I really hope that this thread will keep me on track and motivated. I'm just going to keep posting whether I've been good or bad. I don't want to give up. I could be slim by Christmas.

I'm scared that I won't fit into the uniform of my voluntary role in September. It was tight back in March.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 25/07/2020 19:27

I'm tracking on the Fitbit I got for my birthday... Exercise, steps and food. Not eating the exercise calories! But it has a baseline based on my current weight and weight goals.

LimeJ · 25/07/2020 19:28

@Aroundtheworldin80moves that would worry me too! Let's stick together and make sure you fit into your uniform.

@Aroundtheworldin80moves I have now found my Fitbit and it is charging. It is old but it works. I'm just about to download the app.

@LimeJ yeah I think the accountability of a thread like this will be really helpful! I am particularly worried now lockdown is easing and things are going back to "normal". Eating out, socialising etc are my enemy! When it's just me, I can be relatively sensible.

LimeJ · 25/07/2020 19:41

@hodgepodge21 yes I was in complete denial of my fatness during lockdown. It was really easy just stopping in and stuffing my face. Now I have to go out in the world and none of my clothes fit me. I have no choice but to lose the weight. I look really tubby. My face now looks really round and chubby.

@LimeJ just need to get that ball rolling! Have you weighed in yet? That's always the worst bit!!

MushMonster · 25/07/2020 19:44

Hi, I wnta (need!) to join in!

LimeJ · 25/07/2020 19:45

@hodgepodge21 no I've not weighed myself yet. Tomorrow is the big day! I know that I will cry but I really need to own it and deal with it. I can't go on being so miserable about something that I can actually change.

Lime I think yours is a very common story at the moment. Lockdown pounds have got everyone! Apart from Joe Wickes maybe...

It was sort of fun though, wasn’t it? Wink

MushMonster · 25/07/2020 19:49

I do not have a fit bit, but I need motivation to exercise daily! And dieting, that is the most difficult bit for me! I have a minimum of 2 stones to lose.

hodgepodge21 · 25/07/2020 19:49

@LimeJ yep, rip that plaster off! It's just so hard to disconnect the number with how it makes you feel. I found out I was super overweight at my 6 week postpartum check up at the doctors, and it was done in kilograms. She was very firm about needing to lose weight but i still found it way less emotional as I don't "do" kilograms, only pounds/stone. I even started my weight loss just doing it in kilograms to try and disconnect the emotions a bit more Blush

LimeJ · 25/07/2020 19:49

@MushMonster consider yourself joined 😄

JamRolyPolyAnyone · 25/07/2020 19:52

Can I join in please? Lockdown is over. No more excuses. I also have 3 stone to get rid of. Any other 50+ tubbies in the group?

LimeJ · 25/07/2020 19:55

@hodgepodge21 yes kilograms is foreign to me as is kilometres!

I had two babies and was so sick with both that I didn't really gain weight. I was 8.5 stone with both one week post birth. I've gained all my weight in the last few years.

MushMonster · 25/07/2020 19:57

I am making some veggie soup tomorrow to have it as dinner, putting a shed up in the garden, and must do one hour exercise. I really hope that sharing it with you all will give me the kick in the back I need!

LimeJ · 25/07/2020 19:57

@JamRolyPolyAnyone hello, I'm 48 if that's any help. Years that is, not stones 😂

OP posts:
MushMonster · 25/07/2020 20:00

LOL I am Spanish and I can only get my head around kg. I have to put it in a calculator to get it to poundsBlush.
But must get it gone anyway! I had just joined the gym before lockdown and I was doing really well!

LimeJ · 25/07/2020 20:04

@MushMonster putting a shed up will be extreme exercise. I remember when I was small helping dad put a shed up in the garden. He told me to hold one of the sides when he went off to get something and it fell on me.

😂😂😂 I’m 51 and this dieting lark isn’t easy! I’m going to give it a good go. Challenges are easier with friends, support and sharing ideas. Thank you for having me 😊

tbtf · 25/07/2020 20:07

Can I come along?

I'm just finishing my maternity leave. I was lighter in the months after birth but a year off eating all the biscuits puts me about 13 stone Blush I'm 5'6 (and a half) so size 16 are squeezing me. I was 10 to 10 stone 7 before getting pregnant and it was tricky to maintain the lower end of that but I'd be more more more than happy at 11 stone.

I did a couple of weeks of MFP 1200 cals and C25K and lost 9lb but then stopped and I'm probably back at where I was.

I need this accountability

LimeJ · 25/07/2020 20:13

@JamRolyPolyAnyone your username has me fancying jam roll poly with custard.
