Morning all! How is it July!

Welcome to the July lose 7lbs thread. All are welcome to join whether you are a regular, lurker, oldie, newbie, or a proper old timer like me 😂

All we ask for is the amazing support and positivity that I've seen in every single one of these threads so far. Last months thread is here June thread - lose 7lbs/3kg per month http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/weightlosss_chat/3925539-June-thread-lose-7lbs-3kg-per-month

Stats for me are:
Start weight (Dec 2018) 25 st 2lbs
Current weight: 17st 6lbs
Loss for June : 3lbs (boo 😳)
Total loss so far: 7st 10lbs

Would love to get into the 16s this month! I'm following WW green plan, I eat mainly plant based with a little dairy/cheese/gin thrown in. My aim this month is more plants and less gin 😂

Plan for today is OMAD - grapefruit segments to snack on throughout the morning and then a pea and mint risotto for dinner with side salad.

Have a fabulous 1st July everyone!

Morning everyone! I can’t believe it’s already July!

Thanks for the new thread @cricketmum84 and well done for your losses, you are doing amazing and should congratulate yourself on how far you’ve come. I hope I can have the same focus and dedication as you this month 💪

I’m down a pound this morning so far

Stats for me are:
Start weight:(April 2020) 11st 10
Current weight: 10st 4
Loss for June : 7lbs
Total loss so far: 1st 6lbs

I’m not really sure how I managed to achieve a loss of 7lbs in June but I don’t think I will manage the same this month but I will try my best to lose what I can

Morning!
Well done @cricketmum84 I know it isn't as much as your target but it's more than you thought it would be, its all going in the right direction.

@MonicaBingaling well done Smile

Start weight (27th Jan 20): 15st5
Current weigh: 11st12
Loss for June: 5lbs Hmm
Total loss: 3st7

Can't believe how quickly June went. I was hoping to lose 8lbs but only managed 5. Think I just have to accept it is much slower these days and not expect too much. July is the month I will be able to celebrate becoming overweight though Grin only 3lbs to go!

I need to lose 2st2 to be in the healthy range. It feels so much more achievable than the 5st9 I initially needed to lose.

Have a great day everyone!

Morning all. @cricketmum84 I can’t believe you’ve lost over 7stone, that is so amazing!

I am maintaining, am I still allowed to dip in and out of the thread?! Think it will keep me on track a bit. Having said that, I really really would like to end July a few pounds lighter, but would definitely be happy to maintain.

SW (Jan 1st 2020) - 12 stone
CW - 9 st 11.75
Loss for June - a quarter pounder 😂
Total loss - 2 st 2.25lb
Plan for July - maintain, but losing 3-5lb would be an absolute bonus.

Good luck everyone.

I will join in on this one! Need some motivation and a goal.

Start weight (29 March 2020): 14 st 7 lb or 92.4 kg (yikes!)
Current weight: 12 st 10 lb or 81 kg
Loss for June: 7 lb or 3.1 kg
Total loss: 25 lb or 11.8 kg

I will be really happy with 3 kilos off in July. That will leave me with under a stone left to my goal of around 11 and a half stone

Morning all and thank you for the new thread @cricketmum84. After being on the naughty step for most of June I am hoping to do much better in July

Stats for me are:
Start weight (June 2020) 12st 6
Current weight: 12 st 3
Loss for June : 3lbs
Total loss so far: 3lbs

I would like to get 7lbs off in July. I am doing calorie counting and attempting to exercise 3 or 4 times a week. I am the biggest I have ever been and none of my clothes fit so I am desperate to get this first stone or so off so I can wear more than the same 2 things. I'd ultimately like to be about 9 stone which is my pre- children weight.

Good luck all.

Hi everyone. Thanks for the new thread @cricketmum84 and well done on all the losses everyone. It's a brand new month so I'm full of good intentions today!
Here are my stats;
Start weight [Jan2020] 14 st 3.75lbs
Current weight 11 st 12.75lbs
Loss for June a pathetic 2lbs!
Loss overall 2st 5lbs
I'm hypothyroid and struggle with my weight. For that reason I'm following the keto way of eating but have been on the naughty step a lot lately on account of my love for toast and marmite and my sudden inexplicable urge to indulge in DD1's dolly mixtures. FGS!
Anyway, my goal for July is to get to 11st 10lbs which is the very top of the BMI healthy weight bracket for my height [5ft 8ins]. Once I'm there I'll reassess my goal - I'm not sure if I'll stick there since I am older [64] and vain enough to not want to look haggard due to being too thin. I'm told that I look younger than my age and would prefer to keep it that way I think rather than be thinner but look older if you SWIM?
Plan for today is to behave myself. I have an appointment with the titslammer later so trying to avoid eating anything forbidden due to feeling a bit anxious about that. [Still preferable to the dreaded fanny clamp though!]
Have a good day all.

Wow there’s some impressive hard work and losses on this thread. I’d love to join you please?

I want to get back into my healthy weight range, which means losing three stone.

SW (June 2020): 13st 10
CW: 13st 6

I managed 4lb last month so would love to make it 7 this month and get into the 12s!

Morning all.

I weighed in this morning at 10st 9.5lb. Slightly more than yesterday.

Start weight (June 1st) 11st
Current weight (July 1st) 10st 9.5lb.
Goal weight 9st 7lb
June loss 4.5lb
July goal: 5.5lb (10st 4lb)

That will take me into the healthy weight bracket and 2 lb over my wedding weight.

Joining again. Sad
Starting at 74.55 kg.
Plan for today is to keep away from the biscuits and ice cream.
I think we need a splinter group, a maintainers thread!

HI everyone, can I join as well? I am not sure about the rules of the thread, do we post what we ate every day? I need serious help.

I haven't been overweight so never got into the habit of weighing myself until it was too late. Last summer I was 9st, today 10st 8lb. Scary how it creeps up on you.

I am thinking of following a 16-8 diet and avoid junk food and see how it goes.

I'd like to join

I've been having a go at losing weight from maybe halfway through lockdown (I spent the first half gaining it). Today is my weigh in day and for the first time I've gained weight so I need to stop a blip becoming the norm again.

Start weight : 15st 8
June loss : 8lbs
Current weight : 14st 8lbs

I'm currently famished Grin

Hey I have found you. Thanks @cricketmum84 for, as always, starting us off in such a supportive way.
I will post my stats to make myself feel a bit more accountable.

Start weight April'19 : 19 st 1lb
March '20 : 15st 3lbs
May '20 : 16 st 12 lbs - horrible 2 months of lockdown regain and total lack of willpower
July'20 : 16 st 2 lbs.

I have been finding losing weight in the last 6 months really difficult. I am sure my hormones in the perimenopause are not helping and I intend on seeing the doctor when I can to discuss it. My TOTM was due at the weekend but when it doesn't come I am left in a state of constant hunger which is massively off putting. And given the current changes and restrictions I am struggling to steer clear of the snacks.
Plan for July is to at least see 15 st something on the scales. Would like to be back to 15st 3lbs by September 1st.
Here goes... good luck everyone

Welcome to all the new joiners and waving hello to the regulars!

Re rules: we don't really have any except maintaining positivity and motivation! There's quite a range of different weight loss methods and exercise regimes. I like to post my meal plans for the day as I find it keeps me accountable (I.e I can't go to the chippy when I've told you lot I'm having salad 😂😂)

You can post as little or as much as you want. I try to get on every morning but am sometimes a little late depending on how work and homeschooling is treating me!

Morning all, returning to the threads after a few months off during which I regained everything I lost at the start of the year. Lockdown homeschooling has not been easy, and having the minions home until September may tip me into full blown alcoholism if I don’t nip it in the bud now! Made harder by almost everyone I know around the country being able to have some schooling back... at least that’s how it feels anyway.

So, start weight 10st 4lbs.
Height 5ft 3in.
Would love to get to 9st 7lbs by the time school goes back, July target is under 10st.

I’ve done this before, I can do it again...
Btw, Exante bars are ok but the meals are utterly grim, in case anyone was wondering. A bar at lunchtime means I can have a ‘normal’ dinner and is easy for me.

Good luck all xxx

Oh I could do with a motivating thread this morning, it's my day off today and I'm trying not to snack.

Stats for me are:
SW: 22st 4lb (June 2020) Though my highest weight was 23 st 6lb beginning of last year.
CW: 21st 6lb.
Loss for June: 12lb
Aiming for a 10lb loss in July.

I find calorie counting with a focus on eating plenty of veg and lean protein but allows a bit of everything works best for me. Today however, I feel like eating everything in the house, so am trying to distract myself.

Found you all! Thanks for the thread @cricketmum84
I did yoga this morning so July is off to a good start Grin
SW Jan 2020 - 13.7.8
CW - 11.12.8 (I'm already up from yesterday!)
Total loss so far - 1st 9lbs
Target for July - 11.7.8

I've been avoiding buying new clothes but I'd quite like some comfy yoga clothes. Does anyone have any recommendations?
I'm at a virtual conference for the next few days and have Zoom drinks with friends tonight so I'm not sure how that's going to impact.
Good luck everyone!

@cricketmum84 glad I gave you a laugh. I'm afraid I approach most things that terrify me with a similar sense of humour. I have a long friendship with the said piece of equipment unfortunately.......
Damn it, I have already blotted my copy book and eaten toast. Sigh.
@JessJonesJumps we are indeed soulmates and now weigh exactly the same - notwithstanding toastgate.
Hoping not to find anyone on the naughty step with me later.

Hello all! Can’t believe it’s July.

Stats:
SW March 2020 - 16st 2
CW - 14st 4
Loss for June - 2lbs (oops, not very good at all!)
Total loss - 1st 12

I don’t have high hopes for July because I’m off work and seeing family. holidays = eating for me. I will try to go for nice long walks and maybe eat 2 meals a day as I have been doing. If I eat 3 meals I’ll have to lay off the snacks! I’m going to be a bit more relaxed but mindful. I’d like to lose a few pounds in July but my main aim is not to gain!

Can’t believe we are half way through this year already

Start weight Jan 19 21st 11.5lbs
Current weight 15st 8lbs.
Total lost 6st 3.5lbs.

Would love to be in the 14 stone for start of August as then I would be just obese as opposed to obese 2 category but won’t get there if I keep on having to sit on the naughty step!!
Am signing up for the 1m diabetes step challenge to get me off my bum....Blush

@recklessgran you were doing so well before on Keto and avoiding bread and toast. Can you just not have it in the house or are you like me where the rest of the family demand it so you have to walk past it every day?

Thankfully I haven't ever had to experience the titslammer but my MIL has to regularly and often regales me with stories of how painful it is so I will be thinking of you today.

If it makes you feel any better I have to have the evil camera down the throat thing and that is equally traumatic!

Ooh can I join?

I could use some accountability. I did really well with a different thread last year until it died. Ooh hi @recklessgran

Starting weight Jan 2019 - 104kg
CW: 76.5kg

I need to loss another 7kgs to be in the healthy weight range.

I have PCOS so its a very slow process for me. But I am getting closer.

Yay! Hi my dear old friend @MoonNoodles how blooming great to see you here! Been hanging out with this lovely lot since New Year and have finally managed to lose over 2stone BUT I am on the naughty step today for eating toast.
In answer to your question @CricketMum84 whilst we have DD1 staying with us no chance of not keeping bread in the house. She loves toast for breakfast and the smell of it just gets me going. I've tried to get her on to porridge/weetabix but the problem is that people with LD's don't like/understand change. I even let the bread run out "by accident" but in the end DH went to the Co-op and got some for her. So. Stuck with trying [and often failing] to be strong willed about it. Hopefully DD will be going back to her little bungalow in the next few weeks once it's safe for her carer to come back to work. DD1's a darling but I'm worn out now to be fair - the wheels turn SO slowly at times but thankfully I'm an extremely patient person so it's not as trying as it sounds. She's a remarkable, joyful girl with a permanent smile on her face. I admire her very much but do wonder how on earth I managed her, the other 4 DD's, a full time job and a big house.
Not complaining - it's been a ball actually. And interesting.
Right off to the hospital or I'll be late. Laters all.

Found you! Getting close to my first overall target now. When I started, in August last year, I decided to try to lose 1lb a week for a year, so 52lbs total. If I can lose 4.8 lbs this month I'll have done it. Here's the numbers:
SW Aug 2019 - 15st 12.4lbs
CW - 12st 7.2lbs
Total loss so far - 3st 5.2lbs or 47.2lbs
Target for 31st July - 12st 2.4lbs, which will be a total loss of 52lbs
If I do I, I will then set a new target to get into the normal BMI range, still can't quite believe I'm not obese any more. I'm also planning a treat of a bag of liquorice allsorts, I've been dreaming of them for months!
