Morning all! How is it July!

Welcome to the July lose 7lbs thread. All are welcome to join whether you are a regular, lurker, oldie, newbie, or a proper old timer like me 😂

All we ask for is the amazing support and positivity that I've seen in every single one of these threads so far. Last months thread is here June thread - lose 7lbs/3kg per month http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/weightlosss_chat/3925539-June-thread-lose-7lbs-3kg-per-month

Stats for me are:
Start weight (Dec 2018) 25 st 2lbs
Current weight: 17st 6lbs
Loss for June : 3lbs (boo 😳)
Total loss so far: 7st 10lbs

Would love to get into the 16s this month! I'm following WW green plan, I eat mainly plant based with a little dairy/cheese/gin thrown in. My aim this month is more plants and less gin 😂

Plan for today is OMAD - grapefruit segments to snack on throughout the morning and then a pea and mint risotto for dinner with side salad.

Have a fabulous 1st July everyone!

Right, if no change on the scales tomorrow I’m low carving from Friday (I’ve already meal planned tomorrow night!)

Howmanysleepsnow · 08/07/2020 22:49

Carbing not carving!

Had last weekend "off" for a celebration but have been back on the IF and CCing since Monday. Have managed to lose another pound so have finally hit 12stone! Grin

Can not wait to see those scales start with an 11. Feeling extra motivated now!

WhatALearningCurve · 09/07/2020 09:12

Morning all

I'm due on but nothings appeared yet. I've no idea what my body is doing.

Monday I was 10 12.25
Tuesday I was 10 7.5
Yesterday 10 11.5
This morning 10 9.5

This is why I weigh every day because then I can see what's "genuine" weight loss and what's just my body fluctuating.

At this rate Monday is just going to be a lucky dip 🤣

AnaViaSalamanca · 09/07/2020 09:27

@WhatALearningCurve I am similar. So frustrating... I am hoping a few days of low carb pushes the weight down, but weekend is coming too and I find it quite tough to stick to the diet on weekends.

Onesmallstep67 · 09/07/2020 09:47

Morning everyone. Can't believe it's Thursday already. I am feeling a bit meh about dieting at the moment. I guess because I have been more or less watching what I eat for the last 14+months there are bound to be times when you just want to eat and drink like everyone else does. And not be constantly totting up calories or denying yourself things.
My weight is staying the same. Just missing a bit of get up and go with it all. I guess like most of us I know it all in theory ( drink the water, do the steps, eat the salad !) But some days are easier than others.

MonicaBingaling · 09/07/2020 10:54

Morning everyone, I feel really bloated today, first day of period fun times, however the scales are showing a pound and a quarter loss since Saturday so that’s not too bad

Well done @Bella444 !

@Onesmallstep67 you have done absolutely amazing to be so consistent for 14 months well done!

@WhatALearningCurve I can relate! Water retention is so annoying! My period was 5 days late this month I’m wondering whether it’s to do with my dieting?

@Cricketmum84 I hope you are able to finish your medication off soon, so you can feel better and be able to weigh again. I have the same problem if I have codeine in the past it constipates me so bad (sorry tmi) but it can add a lot of weight to the scales!

Bella444 · 09/07/2020 11:50

Thank you @MonicaBingaling Smile

Bella444 · 09/07/2020 11:51

I'm having a trying day today... craving Mcdonalds or similar! Extending my fast to try and get by this bit Confused

MoonNoodles · 09/07/2020 16:14

Hello. Forgot to post yesterday to say I maintained. Or rather I went down 0.1kg so basically maintained.

I had a stressful few days on the naughty step but am doing well today! Even went for a 7.5km walk on my lunch break. So trying to move onwards and downwards.

recklessgran · 09/07/2020 16:43

Afternoon all. Glad you're still with us @MoonNoodles and KOKO. I've been on and off that naughty step for the last couple of weeks but I'm trying really hard to get back on track. I was hoping to get to my goal of 11st 10lbs in June but that didn't happen and at the rate I'm going I'll be lucky if I manage it in July. I'm staying in the 11's though [just about] so I guess that's something. Waiting for @JessJonesJumps and @NerrSnerr to join me along with @Bella444 if she can make it too.
Sorry for all you suffering with blinking TOTM - that shop shut 15 years ago for me thank God.
So far today I've had a tin of tuna and some cherry tomatoes for lunch. Not sure about dinner yet. I've got some cooked chicken breasts that need using up so chicken salad for me maybe and chicken salad and chips for DH and DD1.
@CricketMum84 I hope you're starting to feel better. x

cricketmum84 · 09/07/2020 17:48

Sorry guys I'm still feeling a bit drained and medications are affective my stomach a lot still so I've been feeling a bit sorry for myself. I've actually been really really hungry today but didn't fancy fruit and couldn't bring myself to eat bread so I've just been grumpy all day.

Family asked for lasagne tonight so I've made a meat one and a veggie one. I'll just have a very small portion with a bit of salad I think.

@Bella444 I could have killed for an egg and cheese McMuffin and hash brown this morning!

@Onesmallstep67 I hear you! 19 months here and I feel so fed up of it all! I need a HUGE kick to remind me of how much motivation I'm capable of pulling together!

I really hope you start to feel better soon @Cricketmum84 Flowers look after yourself.

Well, I've undone my good work this week Confused I woke from an afternoon nap and DH suggested takeaway. I chose peri peri chicken with a side salad, which would have been fine but when it turned up it was battered chicken! I ate it because I have no energy to cook. Despite it being a small portion, its made me feel full and uncomfortable. It was delicious though.

Hope you're all doing better than me!

Bella444 · 09/07/2020 19:55

Oh @recklessgran really want to get into the 11s!!!!

Managed to have a home maccies with vegan nuggets and faux bread Grin

JessJonesJumps · 09/07/2020 20:55

I'm edging closer to the 11s again but not there yet @recklessgran
Today has just disappeared. I was actually trying to remember if I had eaten or not... I think I just had some of DS' jelly tots, a tiny sliver of anniversary cake (it's vegan and low cal and carb) and then a chicken breast with some salad for dinner. No exercise today ... yet so probably not let's face it

NerrSnerr · 09/07/2020 21:28

I'm slowly edging towards the 11s too @recklessgran. Really hoping to be there by the end of the week or soon afterwards. Hope you're feeling better @cricketmum84.

I'm very slowly plodding on here, eating well but still a bit too much but still a bit of a calorie deficit. I'll get there in the end.

Hollyhead · 10/07/2020 06:28

Morning everyone!

In good news I'm back to where I started, so I'm feeling buoyed up by that, and I'm going to make sensible (yet delicious) choices this weekend.

Hope you feel better soon @Cricketmum84 and good luck with edging to the 11's everyone who's heading that way!

Smarshian · 10/07/2020 07:18

Morning all. Dropped down to 10st7.5 this morning. I’m thrilled! There’s something really satisfying about being down a full half stone.
Still a way to go but it’s steadily coming off.
Really want to be at 10st5 for DHs birthday in 2 weeks, that’ll put me in the healthy bmi range.
@NerrSnerr keep plodding on - it’ll come off eventually and you’ll be seeing the 11’s before you know it.

Howmanysleepsnow · 10/07/2020 09:11

Morning!
I didn’t end up needing to low carb. I was a bit dispirited on Wednesday night and ended up having a chocolate bar and some crisps. I was sure I’d have gained so didn’t weigh myself yesterday and did 16:8 to try to atone!
This morning I’m 4lb down, so it looks like the last 2 weeks loss has all come in at once. Whether it stays remains to be seen, but time will tell.
@Cricketmum84 hope you feel better.

peanutbutterdog · 10/07/2020 09:56

Hi all, glad to hear things are moving for people even if it is erratic or slow. I am 1lb down this morning, pleased with that but like other posters, it seems to take so long and so much effort! Still, the last time I saw 12st 11lbs on a scales was well over 20 years ago when I briefly glanced at it as I raced past it to pile on more and more so take my wins where I can Wink. Aiming for 12st 7lb this month as that will just get me out of the obese range. Good luck to everyone for the next week.

NerrSnerr · 10/07/2020 13:23

Thank you @smarshian. Well done on your loss as well!

I am being strict today. Had my usual berry, spinach and oat milk smoothie for breakfast. Made a quesadilla for lunch and have a sweet potato curry for tea in the slow cooker. I WILL finish today with calories to spare!!

I need to be good with my food tomorrow as I will have drinks with friends over zoom in the evening.

JessJonesJumps · 10/07/2020 14:13

I'm back in the 11s - hurrah! I think I'll stick with low carbing for a week to see if I can get more firmly into the 11s.
@cricketmum84 I hope you're feeling a bit better. Lots of kitten cuddles and rest Flowers

MonicaBingaling · 11/07/2020 07:38

Morning all, weighed this morning and down another pound, making a 4lb loss so far for July. Really happy with that and proud of myself but this week has been particularly hard, my body is so tired and I’m exhausted from work, running round after my toddler (who is well and truly in terrible 2’s now) so this weekend I plan on letting my body rest and have a cheat meal.

Wishing everyone a lovely weekend

NerrSnerr · 11/07/2020 09:07

I have stayed the same this past week. Really need to try harder this week. Still at 12st 1.
