Morning all! How is it July!

Welcome to the July lose 7lbs thread. All are welcome to join whether you are a regular, lurker, oldie, newbie, or a proper old timer like me 😂

All we ask for is the amazing support and positivity that I've seen in every single one of these threads so far. Last months thread is here June thread - lose 7lbs/3kg per month http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/weightlosss_chat/3925539-June-thread-lose-7lbs-3kg-per-month

Stats for me are:
Start weight (Dec 2018) 25 st 2lbs
Current weight: 17st 6lbs
Loss for June : 3lbs (boo 😳)
Total loss so far: 7st 10lbs

Would love to get into the 16s this month! I'm following WW green plan, I eat mainly plant based with a little dairy/cheese/gin thrown in. My aim this month is more plants and less gin 😂

Plan for today is OMAD - grapefruit segments to snack on throughout the morning and then a pea and mint risotto for dinner with side salad.

Have a fabulous 1st July everyone!

@Cricketmum84 she is absolutely gorgeous 😍😍

Hollyhead · 05/07/2020 05:21

@Cricketmum84 Betsy is delightful!

I’m well off track this weekend. Going to forget about it and restart tomorrow! Lots of water and salad next week for me!

Howmanysleepsnow · 05/07/2020 10:47

Can I join? I put on weight in the early part of lockdown and have been actively trying to lose it (and an extra 8lb) since. I’ve just got the 8lb to go now (it was 7 to go yesterday but had wine and crisps Blush) Hoping to keep losing and not plateau as it’s been 6 years since I managed to get below 10st 8

SW 22/05/20 11st 6lb
CW 10st 8lb
June loss 7lb
Goal 9st 12lb

Squashbanana125 · 05/07/2020 13:26

Some fantastic losses on here.
Days have been going well. Sticking to plan. Went on a 6k early walk with the dog this morning. So that’s my exercise for today.
B fast
L oats with water and banana
D think steak and veg.

Have a good Sunday everyone !

cricketmum84 · 05/07/2020 19:47

Not eaten much today. Made a veggie toad in the hole but it was a bit too stodgy for me so I left quite a lot. Might treat myself to an ice cream tonight. I'm addicted to ice pops at the moment but at around 3 calories each they aren't doing any damage!

Welcome @Howmanysleepsnow

Back to kitten snuggles 😂😂 Betsy is getting more confident and just loves to jump up on my knee for a snuggle. Haven't got much done today!!

It sounds like she is settling well and ruling the roost already Grin

GetTheStartyParted · 06/07/2020 07:49

Good morning! Weigh in day here. I've lost 2lbs this week.

I had put some chia seeds in almond milk overnight as I had seen it make some kind of breakfast - they haven't absorbed it though and looks exactly the same as when I left it. Therefore, breakfast is unknown or maybe nonexistent.
Lunch will be an omelette
Dinner, I'm thinking spaghetti bolognese (minus the spaghetti for me).

WhatALearningCurve · 06/07/2020 08:06

Morning all.

Weigh in this morning. Only 0.25lb lost, smallest weight loss I've had so far.

However I'm due on in a few days, I feel pretty much like a potato and my PMS is through the roof (never had it before having my son bizarrely).

Logically I know I'm in a deficit - had takeaway Saturday night but was in a large enough deficit that it won't have affected things too much. Going to carry on as normal this week and hope for a bigger drop in a few days when I'm less potato like

WhatALearningCurve · 06/07/2020 08:07

Oh so weight now is 10 stone 12.25

muddledmidget · 06/07/2020 08:16

Hi, can I join you again please?

I just weighed myself and lockdown has not been kind. My weight this morning was 12st1.75 which is my highest ever and gives me a BMI of 28.3 at just over 5'4

I need to sort this our, so my plan is to cut back on snacking, eat healthier meals and reduce my bread intake considerably. I'm also going to achieve my 10k steps daily far more often

Hoping to lose 7lbs this month, and would love to have lost a stone by my birthday at the end of August but that's going to require a bit more effort.

recklessgran · 06/07/2020 09:50

Morning. Today is my normal weigh day.
Last week 11 st 12 lbs
Today 11st 11.5lbs
So that's half a pound off for me. Not sure what's going on as I'm sticking to the keto rules and no toast incidents in the last few days. I can tell from my journal that my loss has slowed to a virtual standstill over the last 5 or 6 weeks. I think my body is saying "enough" but I'm not giving in! It's KOKO for me.
Sorry have been AWOL over the weekend - have spent most of it at DD1's bungalow sorting/decorating/clearing out as we are planning to get her back home in a fortnight with a fresh start after her spending lockdown safely here with us. Will be a phased return due to her LD's and her becoming deskilled whilst here due to being waited on etc and not having to do much for herself.
Wow, I've missed a lot!! Squeee! beautiful Betsy kitten - so jealous @Cricketmum84.She looks as though she's in heaven.
Well done on all the losses going on here - and welcome to all the new faces. Hope you'll enjoy being part of our happy gang.
@MoonNoodles how are you doing?
@JessJonesJumps hope you're still hanging on in the 11's with me and @NerrSnerr hope you'll be joining us soon?
Right got to crack on and get some work done - catch up later I hope.

SultanasofPing · 06/07/2020 09:54

Morning weigh in day here and I've stayed the same - TOTM though so I'm not too disappointed (totally relate to the potato feeling @WhatALearningCurve)
Now just got to resist the urge to eat ALL of the toast!!!!!

Onesmallstep67 · 06/07/2020 10:25

Happy Monday ! Down 1lb so that's at least something. Still feeling way too tempted by the snacks in the house. My really difficult time is mid evening. Rarely actually hungry but look for things to eat, probably out of boredom or a reward if I have had a reasonable day.
Decided that we are going to do more walks together - me and DDs who are 15 and 20. Walking definitely seems to have more of an impact for me than the exercise bike alone. Good luck losers !

AnaViaSalamanca · 06/07/2020 10:40

HI all! Happy Monday

I haven't done that great food-wise, but did loads of exercise. From Wednesday lost 1.1lbs. Not sure how much is water weight though. Trying not to weigh myself ten times a day.

I am constantly hungry, especially in the evenings, and quite grumpy...

AnaViaSalamanca · 06/07/2020 10:42

@Cricketmum84 aww your kitten is very very cute. Feel free to kitten spam, and enjoy the kitten days. Our cats are grownup and serious with no sense of humour.

GetTheStartyParted · 06/07/2020 11:04

Well done everyone, sounds like we're all on track Smile

@AnaViaSalamanca what diet are you doing? Feeling hungry to the point of being miserable sounds unsustainable (and hard work!). It might be worth trying a different approach.

WhatALearningCurve · 06/07/2020 11:11

@onesmallstep67 I'm the same with evening eating. I tend to have breakfast then not eat in the day (unless I'm starving) then at night I use my calories for my evening meal because that way I don't feel restricted and I actually feel like I've had a massive meal so I'm less tempted to snack. That and the fun size packs of chocolate I've mentioned before are how I've stuck to things so well this time round

WhatAWonderfulDay · 06/07/2020 11:20

Can I join please? I lost about 10kgs between Dec and April and now am in a rut.
I really want to kick start again and would like to lose 3 kilos in July. It's mostly motivation that I am lacking so a friendly supportive thread is exactly what I need - if you don't mind me joining.

AnaViaSalamanca · 06/07/2020 11:58

@GetTheStartyParted I am doing in combination of 16-8, low carbing and trying to watch my calories. Very new to dieting so trying to see what works. Do you stick with one method?

GetTheStartyParted · 06/07/2020 12:13

@WhatAWonderfulDay welcome, hope you find the support you need here.

@AnaViaSalamanca I have been following the same method for 5 months. I do keto but I do have a lot to lose and needed something quite regimented to make me stick to it. The reason its working for me is that I don't feel hungry.

I'm no expert but maybe up your water intake, have a light lunch and bigger dinner so you are entering your fasting window with a bit of substance. I try to drink a lot of water everyday and it makes a big difference. Good luck.

Chickenitalia · 06/07/2020 13:40

Happy new week all, lost 2lbs this week so I’m in a good place today.
I’m still trying to adjust to the no alcohol which is always my downfall, and I’ve really not been sleeping well.
I feel like I want to go for a really long walk but the kids whine the place down if I even suggest it and they’re too young to be left. By the time DH can take over, the mood has passed. Going to have to work on that one.
Last night I watched Hamilton, having been told it was amazing by lots of people. I enjoyed it enough but it didn’t wow me the way I expected it to. Managed to crochet through it to stop the snacking at least.

Have a good week!

JessJonesJumps · 06/07/2020 16:46

@recklessgran I haven't been in the 11s since Friday Sad Sunday was my heaviest, back down slightly today but still not back in the 11s. I did OMAD, yoga and a 3 mile walk yesterday so was hoping I'd get back into the 11s but no joy. Yoga again this morning and was planning on OMAD but DS left his bacon at breakfast so I ate it Blush
