Hi, here is a new thread, Excuse the ultra unoriginal title. Weighed in at 9st0.5, this morning, aim (as it has been for every month since March) is to get under 9st. Cannot believe we are in the second half of this year.

Just checking in.
B: banana, blueberries and natural yoghurt
L: Chicken with broccoli and feta salad
D: undecided

Walking and swimming for afternoon.

HoneysuckIejasmine · 23/07/2020 15:37

Hiya,

B sausage and eggs
L chicken casserole, toast, pickles
D prawn Singapore noodle stir-fry which I am really looking forward to. Yum.

Katherine I hear you, but as long as you're losing weight it's easier to bear! Well done on 3lbs a week, that's great. I also don't lose if I eat back exercise cals

MonsteraCheeseplant · 23/07/2020 16:53

God i'm looking forward to the weekend. Anyone got any nice plans? I'll be seeing family.

HoneysuckIejasmine · 23/07/2020 16:55

Also seeing family for first time since Lockdown.

TheHoneyBadger · 23/07/2020 18:44

Off to the seaside for a few days in a rental house.

Bit stressed (I hate packing and get silly last minute anxiety) and have just ordered takeaway as I couldn’t think of cooking today. Rubbish I know.

Leaving tomorrow and coming back on Monday. Tuesday weigh in may be traumatic but this may be the only ‘holiday’ we get this year so I don’t want to spend it worrying about weight.

Heygirlheyboy · 24/07/2020 10:11

Have a great time Honeybadger, I have been off track last few days but not too much damage according to scales, up to 9st8 but I'd say that should even out on next few days, fingers crossed. Heading shortly for 4mile walk, been loving the sea swimming. I've learned now this last post period week is the toughest each time for me, who knows why.
B: 2 weetabix
L: omelette with salads
D: chicken and cubed potatoes with veg

Have a good Friday all!

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 24/07/2020 10:38

Hi all,
Did 12000 steps yesterday and didn't over do it on holiday wine last night or breakfast this am. Will deffo have done more than 10,000 steps by the end of the day too. Will probably eat both pasties and cake today though.
It was so lovely to get in the sea last night!
Well done on your loss @KatherineParr4! 3lbs in a week is great!

HoneysuckIejasmine · 24/07/2020 13:03

Afternoon.

B sausage and eggs
L chicken casserole, pickles
D pork and sage with mushroom rice and veg

Going to my parents tomorrow hopefully

MonsteraCheeseplant · 24/07/2020 13:19

Good job on all your steps Iggle.
mmm pickles, i'm sure i've got some in the back of the fridge somewhere, you've inspired me to investigate honey. They're very low cal aren't they.

B: Yoghurt, toast and honey
L: Chicken noodle soup, Mini Reese's
D: Takeaway of some sort. Can't decide.

HoneysuckIejasmine · 24/07/2020 13:31

I love pickles. And super easy to do yourself too - I pickle my own red onions which I love with a strong fish like mackerel or just tossed in a salad for a bit of tang.

Heygirlheyboy · 24/07/2020 15:07

I ended up going out for lunch so have probably had a lot of cals - roast beetroot risotto with goats cheese--absolutely to die for me but I am stuffed .

MonsteraCheeseplant · 24/07/2020 19:08

Wow, i've never thought of pickling things myself! What else do you pickle?

Have a great weekend everyone. I've kicked mine off already with takeaway (I accounted 800 calories for it! Still coming in on budget though) and baking for tomorrow but am off for a walk shortly.

TheHoundsofLove · 24/07/2020 19:27

I do pickled cucumber and red onion - it's especially lovely with salmon.
I hope you have a lovely break away Honey and that you enjoy seeing your families Honeysuckle and Monstera . I bet it was amazing to get in the sea Iggle. And your risotto sounds absolutely delicious Hey - worth the calories, I'm sure!
I've eaten loads today, but have been really genuinely hungry. I've had a very heavy week exercise-wise, so that probably explains it. I'll relax things over the weekend and then rein it back in again on Monday! story of my life Grin

HoneysuckIejasmine · 24/07/2020 19:31

I only pickle red onions at the moment but that's more a lack of kilner jars than anything else.

Thanks Hounds. I need to do about 6.5km a day for the rest of the month so I'll be jogging tonight. (I do monthly distance challenges)

MonsteraCheeseplant · 24/07/2020 22:49

I might make some myself, I just had a google and some article said they were good for tacos, i was planning on doing Prawn tacos this week so great timing!

Hangoverstruggles · 25/07/2020 06:44

Hi! Hope you made it away ok Badger! We're also away, down in Cornwall for the weekend.

Had full blown vomiting migraine yesterday so didn't eat until about 4pm. Felt a lot better by the evening and reckon I managed to squeeze in about 2000 cals of food in that time (we'd arrived at our holiday by then)

B migralieve
L Gingernut biscuits to help the nausea 😩
D mum's coffee cake, loads of crisps & dip, veggie lasagne, banoffe pie, chocolate

Not sure how to play today. Going on a bike ride so will exercise. Might just have two big meals? Head better so will drink this evening! This weekend is defo a write off 😁

Enjoy your family time @Monstera

MonsteraCheeseplant · 25/07/2020 06:57

God that migraine sounds awful @Hangover, your turnaround and ensuing dinner is very impressive though. Grin. I was so uncomfortable after my takeaway last night, we walked 8 miles after and my stomach still hurt. Really must get the small portion next time.

Octopus37 · 25/07/2020 07:34

Hangover, hope you are feeling better. Heygirl, that risotto sounds nice. 9sts1.25 this morning. Feel a bit bloated though. Off to pay my friend in Steyning who owns a cake shop a suprise visit today, so we know which way its going to go. Nevermind, just pleased to be able to make some plans.

A friend who owns a cake shop sounds terrible Octopus ! Grin

Heygirlheyboy · 25/07/2020 08:53

Enjoy octopus and all those on holidays. Hangover migraines are the worst, glad you've recovered so quickly. I have a mysterious, incredibly sore toe, can barely stand on it, throbbing and keeping me awake all night.. Had planned a run this morning but can barely walk. Pain.

HoneysuckIejasmine · 25/07/2020 09:17

Sorry to hear that, Hangover. Nice work on the dinner though!

B bacon sandwich
L/D don't know, at my parents but will try to make good choices!

TheHoneyBadger · 25/07/2020 12:29

I got here safe yesterday. Eaten and drunk too much but did over 10000 steps despite spending much of the day in a car.

Got in the sea at 6 o clock this morning with my son. Freezing but wonderful. Not feeling very well but going to eat something soon and hope that helps.

Sorry about your migraine hangover. I am worried that’s what this might turn into. So far vision is strange and everything is a bit fizzy but no flashing lights or blinds spots so hoping eating something turns it around.

Sounds like most of us are having a weekend off. Enjoy

MonsteraCheeseplant · 25/07/2020 20:47

I think I ate 2000 calories today. I feel absolutely horrendous. Why did I?
Must drink mint tea.

MonsteraCheeseplant · 25/07/2020 20:58

Feel terrible as in my stomach hurts btw, don't feel guilty although I am lamenting my poor choices around food.

HoneysuckIejasmine · 25/07/2020 23:24

Hope your stomach has started to settle Monstera. I had about 1800 today I reckon. Jogged 6km this evening and doing some community gardening tomorrow and will try to get a walk in too. Hoping to break even this week (I did weigh myself this morning just in case!)
