I'm 5ft. April I weighed 11 stone 9.
I have lost 12lb so far. Today I took some up to date pics and put them next to my pics from April. I can see the difference! Keep going.
I made a Facebook group to support friends doing similar things, weight loss, exercise. I was brave and posted the pics on there.

I have had a week of dinners at families and sneaking myself food and I'm definitely feeling it! Tummy is all bloated and a gain on the scales! Made myself a plan for today and I'm determined to stick to it, not waiting for Monday! I'm so close to not being obese, and I know if I keep letting myself cheat that I will snap back into my old ways!

wrensandrobins · 25/07/2020 10:39

Actually very excited because I brought a really cute second hand bike yesterday, I had a bike which my nan gave me but it was huge and I was so frightened on it because I couldn't touch the floor, I'm going to use it to go to the shops!

It’s come to my attention that I’m fat. Pre obese in fact.
madwoman1ntheattic · 25/07/2020 16:42

I am 2lbs down exactly this week. Thank goodness! Next goal is to get below 13 stone. Another 4 lbs to go. Depressingly, I still won’t be at pre-lockdown weight but I can keep going as long as I can see the scales moving! Yay!

MirandaWest · 26/07/2020 11:47

I’ve just done week 6 run 1. Continuing to be OK with my diet but both DH and DD keep baking...

Imissmoominmama · 26/07/2020 12:39

@wrensandrobins- that bike is very cute indeed!

Imissmoominmama · 26/07/2020 12:41

I walked 20 miles yesterday- over hills, through valleys and rivers (not all of them had bridges Grin)- it almost finished me off, but I was really proud of myself for finishing!

wrensandrobins · 26/07/2020 13:21

@Imissmoominmama I took it out for a ride this morning! It was fun, but the seat collapsed mid ride because it was loose and a bird poo'd on me 🤣

wrensandrobins · 26/07/2020 13:22

@Imissmoominmama 20 miles is fantastic! Sounds like you had a good day!

Imissmoominmama · 26/07/2020 13:34

@wrensandrobins- I’m sorry, but I laughed! Get the lottery on Wink.

I’m aching today!

madwoman1ntheattic · 26/07/2020 16:35

Oh well done moomin!

wrensandrobins · 27/07/2020 09:04

5lb off for me this week! Thrilled after a couple of .5lb gains the last two weeks! Still about 3lb away from being overweight and not obese, but focusing on that this week! I was going to go for a run this morning, but the weather is foul and I can't bring myself to run in it, so will do an extra long dog walk later!

Dazedandconfused28 · 27/07/2020 10:36

I weighed myself at the gym this morning & am actually 72.5kg SadI need to weigh on the same scales each week I think - but it was depressing.

On the plus side I made it to the gym & had done 10k steps by 8.30.

Now aiming to get to the gym 4 times a week alongside healthy eating.

Onwards & upwards!

sg622 · 27/07/2020 17:53

I weighed myself this morning and I have lost 2lbs. Thank goodness as I was out for dinner on Saturday and drank a little bit too much wine, then had to have a bacon sandwich on Sunday to recover! The best bit is that this takes me out of the obese category so it feels like a really positive step

wrensandrobins · 27/07/2020 18:59

@sg622 that's fab news! I can't wait to get there! :)

beenrumbled · 27/07/2020 19:26

Weigh in today. Not lost anything Sad

Not surprised but disappointed. I wasn't really bad but not careful with portion sizes. And I didn't exercise over the weekend. Oh well this is a new week. @sg622 that's brilliant

sg622 · 27/07/2020 19:40

Thanks! I didn't ever think people would be congratulating me for being overweight but it is definitely heading in the right direction. @beenrumbled that was me last week. I didn't lose anything and was really frustrated. It's hard to keep up the motivation when you're not seeing progress on the scales

MirandaWest · 28/07/2020 09:08

Have been making the mistake of sneaking a look at my weight during the week. Seems to be shifting up and down a bit although I have been weighing at random times.

Each week I’ve been losing, but a bit less each time - hopefully I won’t stop altogether!

Carrying on with couch to 5k 1 did week 6 run 2 this morning so no more intervals now Shock.

Weigh in tomorrow morning - would love to have lost 1lb and then my loss so far would be a stone

beenrumbled · 28/07/2020 09:13

MirandaWest fingers crossed for the stone !

Dazedandconfused28 · 28/07/2020 09:19

I think I need to step away from the scales & only weigh monthly - my weight just seems to be creeping up.

I did make it to the gym today - 30mins of cardio & the rest was weights. I also walked to and from, so had hit 10k steps by 8.30.

Does anyone else have a good fitness regime? I'm a bit clueless really and would love some inspiration!

sg622 · 29/07/2020 08:04

@Dazedandconfused28 you actually sound like you have a pretty good regime. I was very fit at one point in my life (feels like a long time ago now!) and I got the best results by combining cardio with weights and strength. If you are running on a treadmill try intervals rather than just straight running- maybe 30secs to a minute of flat out running, then slow jog for 3 mins to recover and repeat. And if you have classes at the gym something like a body pump class could really increase your strength

MirandaWest · 29/07/2020 08:56

Just had my Wednesday weigh in and lost 1kg last week 😊

So in the past 5 weeks I’ve gone from 79.5kg to 72.6kg which is over a stone Shock

Still got a way to go but am getting there Smile

Going to try doing a YouTube workout now

MirandaWest · 29/07/2020 10:45

Did two chloe ting workouts. Am still alive Grin

artyandtarty · 30/07/2020 20:13

Just checking back in & sharing my 'meh'
Trying to stay away from the scales as they are confusing me. I was 11.4 ... went down to 10.7 ( was on period the day I weighed in at 10.7 which makes me think it was water weight I'd lost ) I've been doing really difficult uphill/ resistance /HIIT 30 min spin sessions 5/6 times a week on exercise bike & made drastic low carb changes to diet ( don't want to go into ketosis though )

Although my legs & tum feel much firmer, clothes are fitting better & waist on jeans is now loose & need belt ... I've gone back up to 10.10 / 10.11

So I'm confused & back to the weight I was before the bike arrived ( 6 July ) snd according to the scales have lost ZILCH 🤷‍♀️

Going to carry on doing what I'm doing & stay off the scales!

artyandtarty · 30/07/2020 20:20

Am getting some muscle tone in my legs though which is fab Smile

Chub rub on inside of thighs has decreased : ) My arms are more toned & my double chin has reduced!

So I'm loving the results of the spin classes just not seeing any drop on the scales.

I guess I'm hoping it's muscle I've gained as I used to train with weights a few years ago & I'm seeing the same transformation leg wise now as I did back then ( when legs firm up )

The spin classes are brutal & absolute torture ... must keep going 😩💪🏻😭
