Meant to say consistent

scryingeyes · 06/07/2020 17:56

Hi!! You've inspired me! Been to B&M to stock up. Not starting this week (not an excuse really, hold on I'll explain....)
I have been low carbing for two weeks with DH. I am going to kill someone if I don't have potatoes really soon! So once our food runs out this week, I'll start with two shakes and a 600 cal tea/dinner/Supper (choose one!)

Low carbing has given me a kick start I suppose but I need a proper meal. One thing for sure is that I'm no longer starving all the time so think I'll manage with slimfast.

Keep it up and keep inspiring me please!

BigMumma18 · 06/07/2020 19:07

Hi @scryingeyes! Welcome to the group 🙂 and good luck with your journey!

LlamaofDrama · 07/07/2020 11:05

Hi everyone! @SallyLovesCheese well done on another loss!

I failed spectacularly over the weekend but it was great and I thoroughly enjoyed it. No loss for me, but no gain either, I ate what I wanted but nothing I didn't want (so no eating just because it was there, stopped pat way through an amazing dessert because I was full) and walked a lot of steps.

So while I'm still starting another week at the same weight, it's still the lightest I've been since March, and I've picked back hip with the programme without a hesitation. Life can't be one long diet, so I'm content with that.

But I want a bloody loss this week Grin

MellieNelba · 07/07/2020 13:22

A little but disillusioned .i lost 2lbs first week then a pound second week . I have just got on scales and am exactly the same. I can say hand on heart my calories have not gone over. I know I should drink more water and exercise more but I have stuck to shake/snack/ low calorie meal . I do feel better in myself but can’t understand why . I will try again this week hoping for a good weight loss next week.

BigMumma18 · 07/07/2020 17:15

Hey everyone!

@LlamaofDrama sounds like you had a great time and good there was no gain too, think we all need that sometimes! I think it doesn't do much harm if we are able to pick ourselves up and get back to it again the next day. Well done for being the lightest since March too Smile

@MellieNelba try not to get disillusioned... there are several reasons for not losing any, like time of the month and water retention etc, just look at is as a positive that there is no gain. I think the water is a really important part and I struggle with it too, I bought some really nice squash hoping that will help and just going to make sure I have a glass everytime I have a shake/meal replacement, snack and meal and hopefully that will help.

SallyLovesCheese · 07/07/2020 18:04

Thanks guys!

@MellieNelba - it's true that often a loss doesn't show for 10-14 days rather than 7. It sounds like you're doing all the right things so a loss should be on the cards next week. Just keep going, remember why you're doing it and remember you didn't gain, either!

@LlamaofDrama - well at least there wasn't a surprise on the scales! Good for you enjoying yourself but not to excess. That is the way to live!

Welcome, @scryingeyes, join us on this journey! I couldn't do without proper meals and carbs honestly!

SallyLovesCheese · 08/07/2020 19:25

Oh dear, guys, I've started down the slippery slope of not being a strict on myself. Pastries, shop-bought sandwiches, not eating breakfast or snacks then having a large lunch which throws me off...

Tomorrow, I'm back on the shake for breakfast, snack, meal bar lunch, snack thing. I am NOT sabotaging this for myself. I may think I prefer eating whatever, whenever, but it makes me unhappy. Really unhappy.

Any encouraging words gratefully received!

Wanderlustnearorfar · 08/07/2020 21:05

Hi everyone thought I’d update I weighed myself Monday and i lost 1.3kg which is 2.8 pounds so I’m quite pleased. I’m now on day 3 of the second week so fingers crossed. Hope your all doing well. I’ve yet to taste the banana shake however the others I have enjoyed

goingtokickthisweight · 08/07/2020 22:09

@sallylovescheese you've got this and you can do it. I've had a couple of slips myself so know exactly how your feeling.
I think it's more of a habit we've formed than actually needing or even craving the bad food we eat.
Anyway I can help?

BigMumma18 · 09/07/2020 07:39

Ok..... 2nd weekly weighing and I've lost 3lbs, so 7lbs in 2 weeks! Smile That's also with having a bad day this past week.

@SallyLovesCheese try not to be hard on yourself, I had a bad day at the weekend, having over 500 cals more than usual! I think one day doesn't hurt, having a bad day made me be really strict the next day and put me back on track, I tell myself if I've had one bad day I refuse to have another in the same week, not sure if that will work each time though. Hope you have a better day today, and feel better too x

@Wanderlustnearorfar well done on the loss! 2.8lbs is great Smile I've got a tub of banana and I'm going to try it for the first time today, I did try a ready made vanilla one the other day and it reminded me of rice pudding, it was nice!

FatBeGone · 10/07/2020 14:40

how are we all doing?
this is the end of week 5?
I'm losing around 1lb a week, which i'm ok with (because i eat normally in the evening, and yeah, i could lose more quicker, but fuck i'd be miserable!!)

greendress789 · 12/07/2020 22:20

Please can I join? I'm around 11 and a half stone and would like to get down to 10 stone.

SallyLovesCheese · 13/07/2020 09:36

Well done, @BigMumma18, great result!

@FatBeGone - I hear ya, got to have a balance between losing weight and being happy! 1lb loss is good, that's the way to keep it off long-term!

Welcome, @greendress789! Have you been on the plan already or just starting?

SallyLovesCheese · 13/07/2020 09:41

Weigh-in day!

Starting weight: 12st 2lbs
Week 1: 11st 12lbs
Week 2: 11st 11lbs
Week 3: 11st 10lbs
Week 4: 11st 9lbs
Week 5: 11st 8lbs

Another pound lost! Thank you for encouraging words. I was so down about it halfway through the week but managed to focus better the last few days. It's definitely the evenings I struggle with in terms of wanting to stuff my face! But I'm getting better.

I hope you're all well this Monday morning!

greendress789 · 13/07/2020 09:51

I've been on the plan but not doing it properly so thought I'd join for support and tips.

I am 11 8 this morning.

BigMumma18 · 13/07/2020 10:23

Hi All! And @greendress789, welcome to the group! And good luck Wink

@SallyLovesCheese Thank you so much! Smile well done too, that's great! Think I only lost 7lbs in the first 2 weeks as got so much to lose but would be really happy if I lose 1 or 2lbs per week from now on. Will let you know on Thursday what the 3rd week is, I'm the same as you, struggle more in the evenings, glad you're feeling better

Wanderlustnearorfar · 13/07/2020 10:53

Hi all, second weigh in today and have lost 2.4 pounds so I’m quite pleased. I’m feeling fairly motivated at the moment but it’s only the start of week 3 fingers crossed for a good week. I struggle with the weekends find it easier when I’m at work, also it’s meant to be lovely Weather at the weekend. Hope your all doing well

BigMumma18 · 13/07/2020 11:30

Hi @Wanderlustnearorfar, that's great! Smile I struggle more when I'm at home too, always easier when busy working

LlamaofDrama · 13/07/2020 12:13

@FatBeGone, @SallyLovesCheese, @Wanderlustnearorfar well done on losses! Sally especially well done OB realising that you'd slipped and getting back on track! I think that's such a huge achievement mentally, it's what you need to be able to do to make it work long term.

I've had another indulgent weekend so no loss for me yet, but I've kept the running going (MAJOR achievement) and walked almost 1200kCal yesterday according to the Fitbit. Today's run proper hurt Grin.

greendress789 · 14/07/2020 12:05

Thanks for the welcome and well done to everyone so far.

I had a busy morning yesterday so missed my breakfast shake and had one at lunchtime. Got peckish around 3 so had some crisps and some fruit - I cannot give up my one bag of crisps a day!

Dinner was sausages and green veg. Ended under 1200 calories.

Plan today is 2 shakes and kebabs & salad for dinner.

greendress789 · 14/07/2020 20:59

I'm a bit annoyed with myself as I ate 4 mini spring rolls with my dinner (ended up having beef kebabs, rice noodles and lots of stir fry veg) so I'm 170 cals over 😟

I couldn't resist them though 😭

BigMumma18 · 16/07/2020 08:09

Hi everyone!

So I had my third weekly weighing this morning and only lost 1lb but I haven't been as strict with the diet and not much exercise and water intake. So this week I'm getting back to it properly... I hope! Still happy though as going in the right direction.

Week 1: Lost 4lbs
Week 2: Lost 3lbs
Week 3: Lost 1lbs

@LlamaofDrama Well done with the exercise, that's amazing! Wish I could do that

@greendress789 how are you doing? I wouldn't worry about going over your calories now and again, as long as it isn't several days a week it shouldn't have much of a negative impact Smile

greendress789 · 16/07/2020 09:00

Great losses so far @BigMumma18!!

I'm afraid I had another 'bad' day yesterday. My dinner was uninspiring that I ended up eating crisps. A couple of hundred cals over again!

Must - and will - try harder!

BigMumma18 · 16/07/2020 09:09

@greendress789 thank you so much! Aww, keep trying, it's just trying to find out what works for you, I like jacket potatoes so sometimes I have a jacket potato with cheese and beans or tuna with some coleslaw and salad and I always feel full. Also last week I bought some chinese chicken breasts, cooked them and put them in a vegetable stir fry and noodles to make a chicken chow mein and also made an egg fried rice to go with it which was really nice and not over the calories 🤤
