Slim Fast June 2020! Who's in?

I've got my starter pack
I'm just under 14 stone (shit)
5ft 8
Clothes size nudging size 18

I want to be 11.5 stone
I want to be a size 12
I want to be taller

I will settle for 2 out of 3!

@greendress789 I always have a coffee first thing with full fat cows milk and a teaspoon of honey! Usually my only coffee. For breakfast I either have a meal replacement bar, any kind, so slimfast, phd, grenade bars etc or ready brek with almond milk and a little honey, or 2 pieces of toast with lurpak slightly salted. Then usually a banana shake with almond milk for lunch, I have put about 100ml extra of almond milk if I'm feeling hungry, then for tea I'll have a jacket potato with cheese and beans with salad and coleslaw or a chicken stir fry or chicken curry, meal around 600 cals. I also try to fit in 3 snacks under 100 cals throughout the day but have been leaving some out sometimes. Also if I feel like a sandwhich at lunch, I will pick up one from a shop with a packet of crisps and a snack, just making sure it's not over 600 cals. Then have a shake for tea instead that day with a snack. I try to drink one cup of matcha green tea before bed too!

@greendress789 not particularly, just try to keep under 1,400 cals in total each day. I've found if I have under that too much I actually gain weight! Guess my metabolism slows down too much and body goes into starvation/storage mode??

@greendress789 it may not be the fastest way to lose weight but I'd rather slow and gradual, I feel that I'm more likely to stick with it this time

So, back down this week! Actually, because I decided to only use whole pounds a while ago, technically I lost 0.8lbs as well as last week's 1lb gain! But let's just say I lost the pound I gained and leave it at that!

How's everyone else doing this week?

Well done @SallyLovesCheese! I am up and down at the moment. I got the ready made bottles rather than the powder mix so finding those filling.

Today though I really fancied something I could bite so I had avo on toast for breakfast and some chicken and pitta for dinner with fruit and a bag of crisps for snacks. Back to 2 shakes and dinner tomorrow!

@greendress789 I got some more ready made shakes too as they are great for when I'm busy at work! I have days like that too, some days I don't have a shake but I'm trying to have 2 a day now

I know what you mean, @greendress789, sometimes I just have to do something a bit different and have "real" for for lunch or breakfast then a bar for dinner with no shake that day.

I buy the powder, which I actually really like and I find them okay, but that's because I'm on a budget! Glad you're finding the ready-made filling - nothing worse than having a shake then still wanting something! I drink them slowly, I find that helps.

Hello - havnt been on for a bit - I seem to be stuck at a pound a week - my weigh day is Tuesday. I started lockdown at 11.12 and I was 10.2 last week. I am sticking with the shakes ( in slushy frozen form ) for dinner and then just having a biggish tea followed by either a chocolate bar or ice cream. I have combined that with 16.8 diet so trying to eat only between 12 and 8 pm. It seems to be working for me even though I don’t have big weight losses. So will tell you tomorrow if it’s just another pound....would be nice if it was more . I am due back at work in a few weeks so know I look different - hope everyone has a good week xx

Just been on scales...yes another pound. So I am 10.1 this morning. I don’t know why it’s only a pound a week but it’s all adding up. I am just going to carry on doing it this wAy - can’t see where I can change - have started walking more and drinking water. I am quite unadventurous tend to have the same food but I like it so it’s ok. Keep on going on everyone xx this is the one good thing to come out of lockdown - I am widowed so live alone - it’s been lonely but easier to focus on - when my sons are allowed to visit - they will def see a change in their old mom.

@MellieNelba well done, that's great! A 1lb a week loss soon adds up towards our goals. I always say the slower it comes off the more likely it will stay off as we've all worked so hard to get there. Hope you get to see your sons soon!

Not to worry, @BigMumma18 - it happens to us all! I'm learning not to beat myself up for small gains every now and then; it must be natural due to how the body works. As long as the general trend is down, I'm happy!

I actually put on 1lb this week, which is no surprise to me as it was my birthday last week so drank prosecco and ate cake and the like! But back on it this week. In fact, I'm so on it I didn't even have my normal weigh-in day "cheat day" and stuff my face on Monday. Which just happened, but I'm pleased!

I'm still on the SlimFast, yes. I order a load of bars (delicious from the fridge!) and some shake powder every now and then from Amazon. But I buy non-SF treats as they are just too expensive wherever you get them!

How is everyone else doing?

Hi @SallyLovesCheese! and thank you! Yes I'm the same, I don't beat myself up either now, just a little disappointed then move on. Try harder if I can. I'm glad you're sticking with the Slim-fast!
It sounds like you're keeping really positive which is amazing! I wouldn't worry about the gain as you've been really consistent and I'm positive you'll have a loss on next weighing day.
I've gone off track quite a bit over the last couple of weeks but I've been so good the last few days and gone back to the start, keeping strict as I want a loss this week 🤣 will let you guys know tommorow!
I've been getting cheaper snack bars too, you can get similar a lot cheaper. Why didn't I think of putting them in the fridge!! Going to try that now 😎

Forgot to say, I didn't have a shake on me for lunch the other day and stopped at a Tesco fuel garage, was just about to grab a sandwich then spotted a grenade carb killer white chocolate shake! Thought that sounded nice and it was so yummy 🤤 but at £2 a bottle on offer that won't be happening very often.

Ok so it's weighing day today, end of week number 7.... I've lost another pound, so I'm happy 🙂 I've lost 11lbs in 7 weeks so far.
