Hi, how is everyone getting on I’ve had quite a good day today in regards to sticking to slim fast although it’s only day 3 Grin I hope weigh in on Monday is kind to me Grin. I tend to struggle around 4ish I work until 6 or 8 so will have to work out a snack that’s filling. I’ve also been getting my steps in so fingers crossed hope your all on track

Vivana · 02/07/2020 00:21

Hi just started this today well Wednesday Grin not to bad first day and very committed to doing it. Love the 321 plan just perfect for me.

Had a few hunger moments but ignored them and they went away lol

BigMumma18 · 02/07/2020 09:00

So..... 7 days in and I've lost 4lbs, really happy! Smile x

BigMumma18 · 02/07/2020 09:02

Hi @Vivana, sounds just like my first day! I'm so committed to this too, the hunger was worse on my first day but rarely feel hunger now!

LlamaofDrama · 02/07/2020 11:48

@BigMumma18 well done on the loss!

I'm not feeling it today. I'm not sure whether it's the weather, or whether I'm just a bit flat but I'm an emotional eater and I fix things with sugar. Nothing bad, just a bit meh. Hopefully it will stop raining soon, I can get out for a walk and that will reset my attitude. Which currently stinks Grin

BigMumma18 · 02/07/2020 12:34

Thank you @LlamaofDrama, we will all have days like that! Hope you feel better soon Wink

SallyLovesCheese · 02/07/2020 16:05

Yay, @BigMumma18! It's a good feeling, isn't it?

I realised today why I like this plan so much, compared to similar low-cal diets like WW. It's because I know how much I can have for each snack/meal. It makes life easier. On WW, I was constantly thinking "If I have this then that's 3 points so then I have 22 left" so I'd end up stuffing my face in the day, trying to have a zero-point dinner and saving some points for the evening, because that's my weak time in the day. Whereas now, with SF, I can have a porridge and milky coffee for breakfast, because that's about the same as a breakfast shake. And today I had a marmite sandwich and bag of crisps for lunch, because that's just a little more than a meal replacement bar. And I know I have 600kcal left for a nice, filling dinner plus a glass of wine!

I really want to get my half-stone loss next Monday, so sticking religiously to calories. Last night I ended up having a supermarket "Kitkat" and a packet of crisps because I hadn't eaten enough calories! Win!!

SallyLovesCheese · 02/07/2020 16:06

@LlamaofDrama - I hope you're okay. I definitely have days like that, it makes it all such a struggle, doesn't it? I hope you get out for your walk and feel better soon.

BigMumma18 · 02/07/2020 16:27

@SallyLovesCheese Thank you so much! Yes such a great feeling and gives you the encouragement to keep going too, it was definitely the kick start I needed and to say you can do this. It's exactly the same for me, I actually love this diet.... never thought I'd say that, I just need to keep the enthusiasm going! Really hope you get to your half-stone loss on Monday, oh and such a great feeling to have a treat and not feel bad too Smile

goingtokickthisweight · 02/07/2020 21:44

@BigMumma18 that's a brilliant loss well done you.
Well I had a really bad day yesterday and then comfort ate really badly and it was the worst thing I could of done as it's carried on into today as I felt so bad about it.
So now I'm dreading the scales on Sunday and actually thinking about skipping this weigh in so I don't feel bad when I step on the scales?!?!
Won't bore you with the details of my bad day but could def do with some support to get back on the wagon x

BigMumma18 · 02/07/2020 21:55

@goingtokickthisweight thank you so much, I'm hoping to lose 5 stone so was hoping the first week would give me a good kick start, one that I needed to keep going! It has certainly done that.... Aww bless you, we are all going to have bad days and do you know what it may not even be so bad, the odd day here and there doesn't do any harm, just forget it even happened and keep going with your journey... When I lost 3 stone years ago, I comfort ate later into the diet and I actually lost more weight that week! Sometimes our bodies just need that little break too, well that's what i figure anyway, hope you feel better soon Smile

Vivana · 03/07/2020 00:20

@BigMumma18

Well done what a great loss. Keep going.
Well end of day 2 had the headache part of it but stuck to it. Not a bad day but lucky I stocked up on a few tubs of shakes as there are non left in the supermarket lol. I'll buy off Amazon when I've gone through my tubs.

Good day I've now ditched pepsi max and upping my water from friday

BigMumma18 · 03/07/2020 07:15

@Vivana thank you so much! I did have headaches for the first 2 days too, so hopefully you will be over that bit now. Well done for ditching the Pepsi max! You will feel so much better for it, I still find the water bit hard but just drink as much as I can.

goingtokickthisweight · 05/07/2020 10:04

Hi everyone hope you're all doing well and keeping strong through this journey.
Well after a terrible wobble during the week and actually thinking about not even weighing today I pulled myself round and got back on the wagon.
So I weighed this morning and I've lost 1lb. Not a lot but it's something and after a big binge during the week it's more than I deserve Smile

BigMumma18 · 05/07/2020 11:02

Hi @goingtokickthisweight, well done, that's great! Smile

MellieNelba · 05/07/2020 15:34

I am still going - inspired by reading about everyone else on my second week only lost a pound - usually I would give up but I hope it’s preparing me for a bigger loss this weigh in on Tuesday. I do feel a bit more in control as I know exactly what I can have- save my final 100 calls for a Milky Way so I have always that to look forward to.
Going to try and get some banana shakes for a change -

SallyLovesCheese · 05/07/2020 19:51

@goingtokickthisweight - well done! Good for you for getting on the scales anyway and seeing that even a wobble is okay if you're thinking about what you're eating the rest of the time!

@MellieNelba - hoping you see another loss on Tuesday! Don't get disheartened - every lb you lose is another step on your journey to being slimmer!

I'm hoping for 1lb loss tomorrow. I've had a couple of wobbles of my own this week, but you know what? It means I've eaten over by 200kcal or so a couple of days, which is NOT a terrible thing! Compared to what I used to eat (and pretend I hadn't), eating 1400kcal rather than 1200 isn't such a big thing. When I think back to what I used to eat in a day, I could easily put away 400 for breakfast, 700 for lunch, 700-800 for dinner, plus snacks, wine etc and only doing a 30-40 min gentle walk each day. It's no wonder I was putting on weight!

So I'm not going to beat myself up for having an extra glass of wine or small chocolate bar. Because I'm counting it and I know how it'll affect me. If I continue to lose 1lb a week then that's still a loss.

Hope to see some more losers this week! Grin

goingtokickthisweight · 05/07/2020 21:09

@sallylovescheese Thankyou.
And you have nothing to worry about believe me. I'm on the usn diet lean shake which is the same calorie rules as slimfast.
When I worked out what calories I could have to still loose weight I put in to loose 1.5lb a week and at my height 5ft 3 and my weight 198lbs it said I could have 1,450.
So technically you should get at least 1lb if not more

goingtokickthisweight · 05/07/2020 21:10

God that ramble didn't make much sense

BigMumma18 · 05/07/2020 21:35

I've had a wobble today too, overate a little but back to it tommorow, I just felt so hungry but the first day out of 11 days so not too bad and I didn't go mad so hoping it hasn't had a negative effect when it comes to my weekly weighing on Thursday!

@MellieNelba well done for keeping it up, 1lb is always still good, I'd be happy with a 1lb loss, or even a know gain on a bad week!

@SallyLovesCheese good luck for tommorow! Really hope you get your 1lb loss that you're hoping for Smile

Keep up the good work everyone, we've got this!!
Smile

BigMumma18 · 05/07/2020 21:38

Meant no gain on a bad week lol!

SallyLovesCheese · 06/07/2020 11:25

Weigh-in day!

Starting weight: 12st 2lbs
Week 1: 11st 12lbs
Week 2: 11st 11lbs
Week 3: 11st 10lbs
Week 4: 11st 9lbs

So, 1lb loss this week. Technically it's yesterday's weight, as I didn't manage to weigh myself today before I had breakfast (due to 5am get up with toddler) but fortunately I did weigh myself yesterday.

I'd obviously like to lose weight faster, but perhaps that'll come when I stop overeating each day. I'm only just over 5' so NHS calculator says I can have about 1,250kcal a day. Got to get my 1,400 down a bit to lose faster! Either that or do more exercise!

How's everyone else doing?

MellieNelba · 06/07/2020 13:41

Well done - going in the right direction .

BigMumma18 · 06/07/2020 16:13

@SallyLovesCheese yay! That's great Smile A loss is always a good thing and it's constant too, what you're doing is working!
