You won’t want to lose much more weight will you monster. There’ll be a fair bit of weight in G cup boobs. You’re tall as well aren’t you?

Mammyloveswine · 06/06/2020 10:08

Can I join?

Currently 12 stone 11, 4 pound heavier than my "heaviest weight" which was last year when I embarked on a strict diet and fitness programme and lost 21 pounds.

Enough is enough! So am doing the 16:8, combined with the 5:2 on a Monday and Thursday. Started yesterday after stepping on the scales and nothing at all fitting..

Been half heartedly doing slimming world but as we've signed up to hello fresh/gousto the meals sometimes don't work!

Also aiming for exercise every day!

(And this way I can have a glass or two of wine on my non fast days! Woohoo!)

Hangoverstruggles · 06/06/2020 10:24

Well done @MonsteraCheeseplant! You've definitely earned the takeaway!

I am also 10st 5. Weighed yesterday morning but scared to check today because of my pizza last night! Going to aim to keep to 1200 for the weekend to balance out yesterday. Goal weight is 10st2 now 🤞

Started well with coffee and weetabix. Planning on bolognese for dinner so need to find a filling 300 cal lunch. Poss eggs on toast.

Hoping to run in a bit too. Happy weekend everyone. Welcome @Mammyloveswine

Mammyloveswine · 06/06/2020 10:29

Thank you @Hangoverstruggles ! My target weight at slimming world was 10 stone 1 but I'm aiming just for 10 stone 7 atm!

Ideally I want to be 9 stone 12 but that might be a pipe dream after my second baby! Who is now 2.5.

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 06/06/2020 11:11

Well done@MonsteraCheeseplant! That's amazing.
Welcome @Mammyloveswine I'm a mam (not mum) too, perhaps we come from near each other
@Octopus37 you are doing so well just getting through the days at the moment, it's stressful! Sometimes for me switching up the diet to instead, 'looking after' myself works, eg I'm looking after my body with healthy food (not worrying about calories, but getting plenty of nice fruit and veg good protein etc) and giving myself treats like a nice bath, yoga, comedy show, pedicure etc... Works
Sometimes I just down a load of wine and gorge on biscuits Blush
Either way not to beat yourself up about it.
Hope everyone has a good day x

Mammyloveswine · 06/06/2020 11:18

Oooh maybe @Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket ! I live not far from a wonderful park and grounds but not jesmond dene! Don't want to be too outing! NE postcode though!

Love your positive post!

RaraRachael · 06/06/2020 11:24

I had cleaning to do so passed on my exercises this morning. If I don't do the cleaning first thing in the morning, I have no motivation to do it at all. Went for a walk but cut it short as my calves were hurting walking uphill, so only 1.6km today instead of my usual 3+km.

Monstera I also was dismayed at the size of my boobs. I'm now 36DD after being 34B for most of my life. God alone what's happened to them in the last 10 years.

MonsteraCheeseplant · 06/06/2020 11:45

Absolutely Honey, according to the TDEE calculator my ideal weight is between 10.2 and 10.4 and at that point i'll be looking ahead to figuring out how to maintain.

Thank you for your encouragement.
Rara, boob goals was something I didn't know I had especially but I did keep my old bras.

Welcome newcomers!

Welcome mammy!
Well done monstera you're doing so well!

So far so good this weekend

B - strawberries, yogurt, maple syrup
L - cheese on toast, salad
D - prawn stir fry

Octopus37 · 06/06/2020 12:59

HoneyBadger your work situation sounded difficult, hope things are getting a bit easier now Monster you are so doing so well, agree with others, if you have boobs and height it doesn't sound as if you have much to lose. I started out at 9st11.25, I'm 5ft5 and a small build so aiming for somewhere between 8 and a half and 9. stone depending on how I feel

Octopus37 · 06/06/2020 13:01

Sorry posted too soon, I will keep posting and will hopefully get back on an even keel when things get a bit easier.

RaraRachael · 06/06/2020 17:58

Octopus I'm the same height as you and just over 11 stone. I calculated my ideal weight and it was around 9.8 so I'm feeling really depressed atm.

The problem with having big boobs is that it limits the styles of clothes you can wear. I ordered two lovely dresses from Seasalt which were horrible on me because of my boobs. Unfortunately online I couldn't see the style of the dresses Sad

MonsteraCheeseplant · 06/06/2020 18:58

Rara I've been frustrated by that. It seems that most fashionable dresses and tops are high neck, which is just the wrong neckline for us with bigger boobs. Where are the deep v necks?

B: Toast with honey
L: Garlic mushrooms and prawns, spinach
D: Chip shop fish and chips
S: Brownie

@monstera sounds like a delicious day!!

@octopus I'm only an inch taller than you and aiming for 9st to 9st 4. I'm also a small build so I get you. Any extra weight just shows itself on me. But like all of us that last half a stone is a flipping pain! But I know it'll make a huge difference to how I look

I've continued with my exercise this week, feeling strong. Though I forgot to go for a run this eve oops. Suffering with hay fever which makes me feel like I'm ill even though I know I'm perfectly fine!

@iggle I like the idea of treats other than food. I have a lovely new shower gel at the moment. Looking after myself and treating myself in new ways :)

Hangoverstruggles · 06/06/2020 21:17

Hi, somehow done ok with cals today despite having a terrible nights sleep last night, and spending most of the day in hospital with my youngest (all fine now!)

B weetabix and large coffee 230
L egg mayo sandwich, almonds 400
D quorn bolognese 420
S popcorn, small chunk of brownie 350

1400 total. Plus 5k run really need to go carefully on the snacks 🙄

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 07/06/2020 00:21

Hi all,
I've ended up slightly over on calories today
B. French toast blackberries coffee 350
L. Half a pizza, apple 500
D. Bavette steak, roast veg, bit of French stick with butter alcohol free beer 550
S. Bit of cheese, more roasted veg, homemade granola bar 250
Total 1750 (slightly over what mfp says I should have to loose 1lb a week lots over the aim of 1500)
Only 4000 steps too. Terrible weather here today. I did manage a short yoga routine though.

Some recipes!

Carrot cake oats - I grate carrot finely, mix in with porridge (usually I cook it on the hob with some milk as usual), add raisins, cinnamon, sometimes grated apple, sometimes a tiny bit of ginger, sometimes chopped pear.

EndlessUserName · 07/06/2020 07:05

I love adding some mixed seeds to my oats for crunch too (obvs adds some calories there)

EndlessUserName · 07/06/2020 07:10

Here's the granola from the food medic. I love this one and have made it a few times. Last time I worked out the calories as 230kcal per 40g - I weighed the final granola and worked this out (note - I think her per portion is 50g, I thought this was too much seeing as I'm trying to lose weight). Also note - I used bag of mixed nuts the same weight as all of her nut ingredients. And I think I added extra nuts instead of coconut too, again same weight as what she says. But hopefully if you work it out it should be less than 300kcal. Would be interested to hear what you think! I think I had it for weeks and it kept really well. I like it with natural yogurt (full fat for me, not many more calories but so much nicer) and berries

Today's menu
B - half almond croissant
L - maybe soup and half piece of toast
D - fajitas - chicken, veg, one wrap, little bit of cheese etc. I'm thinking I can bake the veg and chicken in the oven instead of frying it with some oil? What do you all think? Reason is that I have very few calories / syns left to use on oil! (Mainly because of that croissant for breakfast haha!)

EndlessUserName · 07/06/2020 07:24

Carrot cake - I think I said cinnamon, sometimes I do that but mixed spice is also really nice. Some yogurt on top also goes well

Octopus37 · 07/06/2020 08:57

Iggle you're right about the trying to take care of myself, had a bath and lots of sleep last night and ate some melon yesterday (small steps). Also going to try to drink lots of water, I think when I've eaten a lot of salty things like crisps, it doesn't help. Was 9st3.25 this morning. We will all get there. Hope everyone has a good day today

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 07/06/2020 09:30

Ooh! Thanks @stopfundinghate, I'll try some of them! The carrot cake one sounds good for when I can face porridge again!! I made some breakfast bars yesterday and they are quite nice although I think I undercooked the oats a bit. They make a change anyway, and I can think of a few adaptations for the recipe.
Glad you had a better day @octopus :-) I'm currently looking after myself by having breakfast on my own while the kids amuse themselves. :-)

RaraRachael · 07/06/2020 09:55

SO fed up.
Just weighed myself and I'm 11 stone 6! I've put on 5 pounds in the last month since I've weighed myself.
I'm doing core exercises every day, walking about 3km when the weather is nice, eating smaller portions and I keep putting on weight. Previously if I did this, I'd lose about 1 pound per week and got down to 10 stone 1. Could there be something wrong with me that's causing this weight gain?
I'm bursting out of my bras and my t-shirts are far too tight.

Confused
