Another very late check in!

Hi @cricketmum84 and all

Need to catch up on the thread so far, but for now, just to say I’m bouncing around the 74 Kg Mark this week. It’s been so busy that I’ve ended up eating a few unhealthy bits here and there!

Managed ok on exercise but TOTM looming so I don’t expect any major losing until mid June. Hoping to STS and not put on

Onceuponatimethen · 04/06/2020 21:16

That was meant to say 74.4 kg that I’m bouncing up and down from. Lowest so far was 74.2 Kg on 31 May, highest this week 74.5 kg

Chimchimcharoo · 04/06/2020 21:23

@SconNotScone - thanks will check that out!

SconNotScone · 04/06/2020 21:40

Won’t somebody save me from myself?!?! I just want allllllll the foooooood!!!! 😭

GetTheStartyParted · 04/06/2020 22:15

Hi all, I have stomach ache every time I eat, i have for a couple of days now. Having to make myself eat as i have a physical job and was going dizzy.
Hoping it goes soon and that my discomfort at least means I lose weight

@cricketmum84 enjoy your well deserved day off. I'm off tomorrow now too as DS is unwell.

Stay strong @SconNotScone

Ginandtonic31 · 04/06/2020 23:37

I've had an oki-ish food day )quick breakfast of berries as needed to get out, lunch was chicken, spinach, olives etc. Dinner was chicken wrapped in bacon with cheese, roasted swede and spring greens (fried in some butter). Had a few seafood sticks during the day as a snack and also a Fibre One bar. I didn't exercise either today as my little girl had her 12 week jabs this morning so it knocked her naps right out and consequently my workout too! So feeling a bit guilty today that I've eaten a treat and not exercised 😞 not holding out for much loss on Saturday now.

Onceuponatimethen · 05/06/2020 05:45

@GetTheStartyParted really sorry to hear you’ve been feeling unwell and hope it settles down soon.

@Ginandtonic31 you might be surprised though! I ate a choc bar and two packets of crisps yesterday Shock and still my weight is back down at 74.3kg today. Don’t forget the odd treat on the odd day is fine and it’s what happens across the week as a whole that matters!

Onceuponatimethen · 05/06/2020 05:50

Morning all!

Just weighed and 74.3kg. My goal for June is to get down to at least 74kg. Would be lovely if I can start to see the 73s! I’m starting to see some changes to my waistline and tried on my work clothes from two years ago which now fit again. - so feeling like this is all getting results!

Plan for today is:

Food

Fruity breakfast- lots of pineapple and grapefruit

Lunch - low cal veg soup

Dinner - salmon steaks, cous cous amd broccoli

Exercise

Aiming for 10k steps....

Morning - kiddie workouts and kiddie dancing

Afternoon - one of the dds has some challenges to do from school as ‘PE’ so will do those too

Evening - will walk around on the phone for an hour

StudentHelp · 05/06/2020 08:07

Eaten terribly this week but still managed to lose 0.5lb from Monday so I’m happy with that as revision snacks have been taking over my life and this will all be over in a week!

Irishstout · 05/06/2020 08:12

Stuck fairly well to plan yesterday with food apart from a cheat (small) glass of baileys.

Plan for today porridge and then something egg based for lunch. Might do a slimming world hunters chicken recipe for dinner.

Need to hit my 10k steps today which should be easier as I'm not working this evening so will add in an extra walk.

It's my last day with my current job so I'm sure there will be cake. But I'll try to limit it to a small slice rather than the whole thing

Keep going!! Weve got this!

WhatALearningCurve · 05/06/2020 08:36

Morning,

Weight up slightly to 11 6 from yesterday but still losing overall for the week. Happy with this - I basically hit 1400 calories yesterday (my MFP goal) but most days I stick to 1000 - 1200 so I was expecting to see a change today.

Back to low calories today. Would LOVE to be 11 5 on Monday for official weigh in

NerrSnerr · 05/06/2020 09:30

Managed to stay the same this morning after having chips and gravy from the Chinese last night. Need to be extra good today so it doesn't catch up with me.

SultanasofPing · 05/06/2020 09:33

Can I join too?
I'm at my heaviest ever and approaching the big 5-0 so want to lose weight and get fit before it's too late.
I need to lose 4 stone to not be overweight which is too big a target to contemplate (even 1.5 stone to get out of obese feels massive) so 7lb in June sounds like a good place to start
I've started walking a lot, started at the beginning of the year with just 10-15 minute walks and now I'm doing a 45min walk every morning before work and trying to get in another 30m in the evening with the kids. Now I've got that habit established, this month I'm focusing on calories and trying to keep below 1500 (tdee is coming out at 2000) - weigh in day is Monday (to try to keep focus over the weekend)

Ecci · 05/06/2020 09:49

Had to have a gum biopsy on Wednesday, it hurts a lot more than I expected and I've not eaten much since, so I'm hoping for a good result for next weigh in. I've definitely got a bit smaller, I've got a pair of too small, size 14 jeans that I've been regularly trying on and today I could do up the button, although it felt very tight, but I'm definitely getting closer to wearing them. Anyone know any good abdominal exercises? My waist is still huge.

GetTheStartyParted · 05/06/2020 09:52

Thanks @Onceuponatimethen Well done, bet it was lovely to fit in your smaller clothes.

@SultanasofPing welcome! It might feel daunting but breaking it down into half stone increments really does help! I started at the end of Jan.

I wanted to lose around 6st Blush I needed to lose 3st10 to stop being obese and just overweight. Its been 18 weeks and I have lost 3st3 so only half a stone to go! Then I will focus on getting out of overweight and into the healthy category!

@NerrSnerr only chips and gravy from the Chinese sounds very controlled, if I had a Chinese I would eat everything

@StudentHelp you've got this! The end is in sight and then you'll have the headspace to focus on your diet. Hope it goes well.

MonicaBingaling · 05/06/2020 10:03

Morning everyone!

I’ve lost 3lbs this week so I’m really chuffed.

However I feel quite run down today so going to up my calories slightly today and over the weekend.

My goal was to lose 1 pound a week so as I’ve done more I feel a bit more relaxed!

Well done on all the losses, I will check in properly later but life is a bit hectic at the moment with my toddler lol

Tryingtwo · 05/06/2020 10:05

Good morning all, just checking in. I had an upset stomach yesterday so spent the day in bed and only food was 2 toasted mini pitta breads. Had a piece of dry toast this morning and might venture downstairs after my shower if stomach is still settled.
Hope you enjoy your day off cricketmum84. Hope your ds is feeling better GetTheStartyParted

Ticklemeelmo · 05/06/2020 10:13

Weigh day today and unchanged from last week 😕 hope others are faring better.

StudentHelp · 05/06/2020 10:25

@GetTheStartyParted
Thank you! 7 exams over 5 days next week (totalling 22 hours!) so I think they’re more important right now but chuffed to have lost a little.

Lost 17lb in total over 7 weeks and now have a BMI of 24.4 so I’m happy that I’m making progress Smile

Loving these threads even if I do only pop in every now and then.

GetTheStartyParted · 05/06/2020 10:49

@StudentHelp that's great progress. The exams sound intense! Best of luck.

@MonicaBingaling well done, that's brilliant.

@Tryingtwo thank you. He has had bad hayfever for the last week but has now developed a new continuous cough so we have had to take him to be tested and are all quarantined until we get the results. I don't think he has covid19 but we obviously can't risk it. He hasn't slept for more than a few hours over the last couple of nights but is ok. I hope you feel better soon Flowers

Hollyhead · 05/06/2020 12:52

Well done everyone on the progress and plans, you’ve got this!

Mondays are my official weigh day but I did a pre weekend weigh in this morning to help keep me on track for the weekend and it seems I’ve lost nearly 1lb which I’d be pleased with for the week - I’m glad I weighed as trying to maintain that for Monday should prevent me reaching for treats tonight!

JessJonesJumps · 05/06/2020 14:07

It's been hectic here this week. WI was yesterday and I was down 0.4lbs. I've managed yoga twice this week so definitely need to increase my exercise.
@GetTheStartyParted I hope your DS is ok and the test is negative Flowers
@Ecci I found some of the yoga floor leg exercises really helped my stomach because you need to focus on your core.
@cricketmum84 2 more sleeps till your birthday! How exciting! And you'll have the memory of a lockdown birthday which hopefully will be an once in a lifetime birthday event!

GetTheStartyParted · 05/06/2020 18:39

Thank you! His test is back already, only took just over 24hrs. Thankfully its negative.

He's feeling a little better so hopefully he can get some proper sleep tonight.

Just had a lovely dinner of chicken thighs with broccoli and cauliflower cheese, delicious.

Socially distant Bbq with DD in the garden is now back on, so long as the weather holds tomorrow. We haven't been able to see her since she moved out. DS has missed her so much, he's very excited.

Onceuponatimethen · 05/06/2020 19:44

@GetTheStartyParted I’m really glad it was negative and hope he does get a bit more sleep.

Onceuponatimethen · 05/06/2020 19:45

I did a few sit ups today and they half killed me Grin I then remembered why I stick to children’s exercise, walking and kids dancing!

Normally I love to swim but can’t do that right now of course!
