Morning all - today is my weigh day.
Last week 12 st
Today 11 st 12 lbs
I'm really shocked by that loss so it looks as though my time on the naughty step did me good. Now just need to not feel smug and keep behaving myself. I've looked back in my journal and it's 6 weeks since my loss has been as much as that. I'm crawling along with most weekly losses now being under a pound for me. If I can manage another quarter of a pound by Wednesday I will be able to record a 3lb loss for the month. Rubbish compared to some of you but that would be good for me all things considered.
@WhatALearningCurve you're amazing and are really smashing this - good for you! Hope everyone is doing O.K. and has a good day.

Hollyhead · 29/06/2020 09:49

Hi everyone, creeping back in after my own spell on the naughty step. I'm not weighing until tomorrow as I can't face it today. Obviously tomorrow is the last day of the month. I am hoping to maybe be able to say I lost 1.5kg over the month, and then be positive into July!

Today's plan is to fast until 1pm, then have a sensible salad, yoghurt and fruit then a sensible dinner.

I can get back on track! Well done @recklessgran.

SultanasofPing · 29/06/2020 10:49

Well done @WhatALearningCurve and @GetTheStartyParted bet the Chinese was lovely
Weigh in today starting weight 1st June 14 stone 6 lb and weight today 13 stone 8 lb - woo hoo
I'm only a shortie so still got a long way to go but super pleased..... Bring on July!

Onesmallstep67 · 29/06/2020 10:52

Morning everyone. Some great losses. Well done.
I am stuck on maintaining the 4lbs lost so far in June. Think it's unlikely to drop tomorrow as I am waiting for TOTM which is increasingly unpredictable in perimenopause. Hopefully the other side of that I will see a quick drop for the start of July.

JessJonesJumps · 29/06/2020 16:37

Scales are jumping about and it's making me demoralised so I checked my measurements instead and I've lost another inch from my hips and an inch from my waist. I'm going to try to use that to motivate me.

cricketmum84 · 29/06/2020 21:20

Looooong work day today. Finally done and poured a glass of wine.

Haven't weighed today but will do tomorrow for last day of the month. Had a lovely salad with one grilled pitta and vivera plant shawarma for dinner which was absolutely beautiful.

Well done on the losses. I am so impressed by them all! July is defo going to be a much better month for me!

Morning everyone, last day of the month! I've lost 1.5kg in total, which considering I've had a few slip ups I'm happy with. I think if I could lose another 1.5kg in July I'd be able to do up my work trousers again - which might be useful if we stop working from home at some point!

Smarshian · 30/06/2020 07:22

I’ve been lurking for most of the month and found you all really motivating so thank you!
Started June at 11st. Weighed in today at 10st 8.75lb so fairly pleased with that. Think it would have been more but it was DS birthday and I lost focus for a few days in the middle.
Will weigh again tomorrow and set a target for July.
Well done for all the losses so far!

cricketmum84 · 30/06/2020 07:44

Morning all! Can't believe it's the end of the month already?! I'll get the July thread up and running later today and link to it here.

I've finished the month with a 1lb loss which I'm not very happy with. I suppose I've had my birthday and a few stressful days plus the stomach bug but it feels like so little result for the number of things I've turned down this month!!

Great losses @Smarshian and @Hollyhead!!

Morning all. I started the month at 12st 6 and ended on 12st 3. The scales have stubbornly stuck at 12st 3 for a few days so fingers crossed into July it'll jump down!

Well done on everyone's losses- even if they've only been small- it's still going in the right direction. See you all on the July thread.

GetTheStartyParted · 30/06/2020 08:50

Morning! Just back from work and weighed myself, I have had 4 cups of tea Wink but lost a pound since yesterday!

Ending June on 11st12, that's 5lbs for the month. And also, 3 and a half stone total loss.

I need to lose 3lb to become 'only overweight' rather than obese so that's my next target.

Ecci · 30/06/2020 09:44

Morning all, been a bit of a lurker this month. Weighed in this morning at 12 St 7.2 lbs, that's a loss of 3.4 lbs for the month. Pleased with that. Well done to all you losers. Even if its only a small loss, it all helps.

GetTheStartyParted · 30/06/2020 10:23

@SultanasofPing my Chinese was lovely, thank you. Well done on your loss, you've done so well.

I'm only short too, my starting weight was 15st5 Blush and I'm now at 11st12 so much better than when I began 5 months ago.

I need to lose 2st2 to be in the healthy weight range. I have knocked 9 off my BMI already.

Good luck with your journey, sounds like its going well.

JessJonesJumps · 30/06/2020 12:54

I've lost 2.8lbs this month which is both more than I was expecting (because the scales have been jumping up and down a lot!) and disappointing (because I have exercised quite a bit).
I've also lost 2 inches from my waist this month and 2 inches from my hips.
Here's hoping July is better.

TheStirrer · 30/06/2020 13:47

Another lurker here. Been a hard month but managed to lose 8.5lbs somehow. I have kept @recklessgran company on the naughty step a few times Blush.
Am contemplating joining the 1,000,000 step challenge to raise money for diabetes uk ..... it’s only 12k steps a day (only she says....Grin)

WhatALearningCurve · 30/06/2020 14:33

Ooo well done to everyone with losses! To anyone STS the gained - tomorrow is a new month isn't it!

I am tired and hungry today. And by hungry I mean I know I'm a bottomless pit who could never be filled.

I go back to work tomorrow - I'm debating whether to get a takeaway tonight.

On the pro side - I'm wondering if going over cals today will encourage me to stay on track tomorrow (I basically just sit at a desk for 8 hours so it's easy to start snacking).

I sometimes feel like if I do eat large amounts it "kickstarts" my body into having a loss. There might be an initial gain but it's like it resets my metabolism.
It's the end of the month so if I gain a lb tomorrow it'll make next months loss bigger (only half joking about this one)

On the con side - am I just making up pros to convince myself it's a good idea - will the takeaway feel worth it tomorrow?

I have major fear of all my progress going to shit (pardon the language) once I'm back in work. Plus I seem to be going through some weird thing where I just don't feel like I've lost the weight I've actually lost. I read the other day that it takes 3000 calories to gain a lb. The takeaway might take me close to that (if not over) today but I think my usual deficit would counteract it over the week?

I'm just rambling now because the 1 year old can't make the decision for me ha.

WhatALearningCurve · 30/06/2020 19:27

Further update.

Talked myself out of takeaway and now feeling incredibly smug about myself 🤣🤣

I figured my need may be greater either tomorrow after work or on Saturday if I have zoom drinks

JessJonesJumps · 30/06/2020 20:09

Well done on resisting the takeaway! I'm having Zoom drinks tomorrow Gin so will have to adjust accordingly during the day.

Onceuponatimethen · 30/06/2020 23:17

Final WI and am 73.6 kg - which is my lowest ever so very happy with that.

cricketmum84 · 01/07/2020 08:34

New thread is up and running!

Lost 7lbs/3kg per month - July thread! www.mumsnet.com/Talk/weightlosschat/3955008-lost-7lbs-3kg-per-month-july-thread

Ended up with a surprise extra 2lbs off overnight so finished June with a 3lb loss which although not my target does make me feel a little better!

Well done on resisting the takeaway @WhatALearningCurve and I hope your first day back at work goes well today!

See you all on the July thread x
