Well I'm trying to give myself a bit of a shake and work out what's going wrong. Think I need to go back to very low carb WOE again.

Risotto now off the menu for tonight and I'm making a nice salad with hard boiled duck eggs instead.

Think I need to switch ww plans back to green as possibly unlimited carbs on purple May have been my undoing this month.

@cricketmum84 seems unfair after being ill!

I’m trying to be good on the weekdays this week because we have food ordered from our favourite restaurant for the weekend. I’m on holiday from tomorrow so for a while there will be lots of Wine

I have 6 weeks off (yes, teacher —runs and ducks—) so I’m hoping not to put ON any weight even if I don’t lose any.

dobbyssoc · 25/06/2020 16:41

Well I only lost 0.4lbs this week. It was DS 1st birthday though so cake was consumed!

SultanasofPing · 25/06/2020 21:35

@cricketmum84 that seems really unfair especially after being ill
Well done those with losses however small it's in the right direction - I worked out even if I only lose 0.5lb a week I should hit final target in summer 2022 😊 a long way off but not in the grand scheme of things and doable😂
I've got to lose one more pound to have lost the baby weight from number 3(who is nearly 12 🙄) so hoping for that by the end of the month

cricketmum84 · 26/06/2020 08:17

And back down a pound today. This just makes no sense!

Plan for today is fruit and water as per usual. Need to get my cherries eaten up before they get past their best. The rest of the crickets have asked for homemade kfc tonight so I will be doing some quorn nuggets for me and littlest, baked corn on the cob and will avoid the chips!

Congrats on all the losses over the last few days. It's such a good feeling seeing you all doing so well!

@JessJonesJumps 😂😂😂 i could murder a chocolate toffee right now 😂

Morning all. I really hope the scales start to move soon @cricketmum84. I managed to do some exercise in the heat yesterday and got to 10,000 steps so I'm pleased with that. I'm hoping to do a little bit of exercise today but need to fit it in between work and looking after the children. Feeling motivated at the moment which is good as my biggest jeans are really really tight so I need to lose enough to be able to wear them comfortably.

NerrSnerr · 26/06/2020 08:21

Crossed post @cricketmum84. Glad the scales went down!!

recklessgran · 26/06/2020 09:19

Morning. Wondering if the lack of weight loss could be fluid retention connected to the heat? My ankles are a bit swollen. [Clutching at straws here!!]
I'll be lucky to record a pound this month and stay in the 11's by the skin of my teeth. Going to be extra good this weekend ahead of my weigh day on Monday. I'm taking my very first trip to the shops today. My g/f that moved needs some curtains so we're going to Dunelm. There won't of course be the usual pub lunch but it's a step back to normality for me. Excited.

GetTheStartyParted · 26/06/2020 13:35

Afternoon everyone, I agree that the heat is causing issues. Its still my TOTM and I'm bloated but my wedding ring had been really loose and isn't at the moment. It would explain peoples anomalies.

I'm having a takeaway tonight, my first meal that isn't keto, since starting in January! Don't know if I want to really enjoy it so its worth it or hate it so I don't want to do it again! Grin

Hope you're all enjoying the weather and the upcoming weekend.

KedsAndTubeSocks · 27/06/2020 07:51

Morning all. I think I should join you again. I'm back up to 74kg, from a previous low of 68kg. I've been eating all the biscuits again though. I think if I can stick to 70kg I'd be happy. 74 puts me near the top of a healthy BMI and I'd like to be closer to the middle.

All those buying new clothes, have you checked recommendations for your body shape? I just looked up my body shape and there were lots of good suggestions. Obviously, I already sort of knew what would and wouldn't suit me, but it's still very useful to see it. I also saw some good ideas of things I wouldn't have considered.

recklessgran · 27/06/2020 10:14

Morning and welcome back @KedsAndTubeSocks sorry you find yourself back here but lovely to see an old friend! Plan for today is to stick to the keto rules, eat salad and drink more water. Don't want to jinx myself but weight down a pound here this morning so fingers crossed that my loss for June might be 2lbs instead of the pathetic one pound I expected! Staying off the naughty step is my only goal at the moment.
@KedsAndTubeSocks what is this body shape thing you speak of? That's interesting - I'll have to google that. I've bought a whole new wardrobe since lockdown [well, it's an ongoing project]. It consists mainly of skinny jeans, crops and tops for here and a holiday wardrobe consisting of linen shift dresses, knee length shorts, [too old for short shorts] vest tops and swimwear. Will add winter weight shift dresses and thick tights later on as that's my normal winter wear.

KedsAndTubeSocks · 27/06/2020 11:12

Morning @recklessgran! It's interesting. You probably know it subconsciously, as you've been living with your body for long enough! I have swimmer's shoulders and skinny hips, so I'm an inverted triangle. I need to wear longer tops, nothing boxy on my top half, big & bright trousers & skirts etc. Apparently I should avoid Capri trousers, which is unfortunate as I tend to live in them in summer. Also skinny jeans are out for me. Obviously you don't have to follow it religiously, but it's interesting to consider when you're buying lots of new things, especially if you're buying online. I found a website called 40 plus style the most useful, but there are hundreds out there.

Onceuponatimethen · 27/06/2020 12:43

@KedsAndTubeSocks me too about snacking and I need to give myself a firm talking to!!!

Big wave to all and sorry to be AWOL for a while.

Today I’ve eaten three fairy cakes already. It HAS to stop Grin

MonicaBingaling · 27/06/2020 14:19

Hey everyone just checking in, weighed today and I’ve lost another pound so I’m now:

Current weight: 10st 5
My starting weight: 11st 10
Weight at beginning of June: 10st 12

So am proud I have lost my 7lbs for June woo 🥳

However in other news I’m not feeling too great today with a Bad tummy 😥 my IBS has flared up so just having a quiet day, although that’s difficult with an energetic 2 year old lol are there any fellow sufferers of IBS here? It really sucks!

Anyway wishing everyone a great weekend xx

ishouldgoandtryabitmoredaily · 27/06/2020 23:12

Checking in .. I did my regular Thursday am weigh in but with the added novelty of the preschool run, I forgot to post.

So on Thursdays weight was 25th June 10.2 (1 lbs lost) I am finally starting to looks bit better, still finding temptation is getting the better of me, but trying to have super 'clean' days to even put any blimps. ( I blame the breastfeeding, I never had a sweet tooth before pregnancy and breastfeeding)

Not going to hit the 7 lbs this month, but I'm keeping on .. target 10 stone then reassess if more needs to go !

Onceuponatimethen · 28/06/2020 08:10

Just weighed in and am back at 74 kg after a bit of effort over the last few days to cut the rubbish I’d been eating! My lowest ever is 73.7 kg and I’m not so far away from that now at least. Will keep persevering! I’m getting close to a healthy weight for me but want to give myself a bit of a buffer so I can really maintain it for the next few years.

Dp is still hovering around 80kg and is desperate to drop the last 4 kg he needs to dip down to a healthy weight for him. I’m continuing to encourage him even when he feels a bit flat about not being finished yet and finding moments to be really positive about everything he’s achieved so far.

NerrSnerr · 28/06/2020 10:19

Morning all. Hope you're all having a good weekend. I'm still at a 3lbs loss this month but hoping to sneak another 1lb before the end of the month and I'll be happy with that.

I usually go for a long walk on a Sunday but had a bit too much to drink over Zoom with friends last night so opted for a lie in instead (and didn't get up until 9.30 which was amazing). I'll take the children out on their scooters later and I'm going to do some batch cooking of healthy meals later. Motivated to get the full 7lbs off in July so my jeans will fit again!

cricketmum84 · 28/06/2020 20:52

Well weight is still bobbling you and down. Think I'm going to be lucky to have maintained by Tuesday. So pissed off with it all this month!!

Watching some Glastonbury with a Diet Coke, would love w cornetto but not letting myself lol.

Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend despite the rubbish weather! X

Morning all! Weigh in day here. For the first time since starting, I've STS but that's OK because I had chinese on Friday and I ate EVERYTHING! I also had some chocolate to follow.

I actually really enjoyed it but not the feeling of fullness afterwards. Straight back to eating keto the next morning and back on track.

Happy Monday everyone, have a great day Brew

Onceuponatimethen · 29/06/2020 07:51

@GetTheStartyParted wow I’m so impressed you’ve only STS once! That is an amazing achievement and shows how incredibly disciplined you must have been Star

Onceuponatimethen · 29/06/2020 07:53

I’m currently 74.1 kg which may be because I went on a 6 mile walk yesterday but also then got on a slippery slope of bad eating after that :

2 mini magnums
An after dinner cuppa soup type noodle soup
Toast with Nutella
Three packets of crisps Blush

Still have .4 kg between me and my lowest weight. Hoping listing it all out will stop me doing it again!!!

WhatALearningCurve · 29/06/2020 08:22

Morning folks!

Weighed in this morning at 10 stone 12.7. I'm in shock. By far the lowest I've ever weighed. 2.75lb loss this week and 9lb overall for the month!

I'm back to work on Wednesday - I only work part time but it'll be interesting to see if I can a) continue with my eating the way it is and b) what will happen to weight loss when I lose 3 days out of the week I can go for walks etc.

Good luck everyone for month end weigh in!

GetTheStartyParted · 29/06/2020 08:37

Thanks @Onceuponatimethen Friday was only the second time in 22 weeks that I didn't stick to it. The other time was a treat when I reached a milestone loss.

It sounds like you had a nice day - jealous of the crisps Grin I miss them so much!

@WhatALearningCurve well done! That's brilliant.

SconNotScone · 29/06/2020 08:56

Hey all, congrats on some really good losses, and hopefully a little bit more might sneak off over the next couple of days!

I’ve been largely absent for the last few weeks. Don’t really feel like I have much to contribute to the thread to be honest! I had originally hoped to lose 5lb this month to take me down to 9st7 as a final weight. But I have actually maintained at 9st12, which is somewhat of a miracle in itself. I haven’t weighed this low for about 7 years or so, and with the way I have been eating this month, I’m really surprised to have maintained. I do think this is naturally around where my body feels it “ought” to be, although I really wouldn’t mind getting those last 5lb off at some point. I don’t want to commit to it though, as too much potential for disappointment and feeling angry at myself, and I don’t really fancy that!

Anyway, see you all in July, and we’ll see what happens!
