@Ginandtonic31 sadly they don't really check you at your six week check. They generally just ask if you have any issues you want to discuss and then fob you off about about stuff. Did your baby have their check they should of been doing those still in lockdown?

I would say that the relaxin hormones can take up to 5 months to leave your body so that can affect your muscles and ligaments ( and make you more flexible). So be extra careful exercising otherwise there shouldn't be an issue. Make sure you make time for the pelvic floor exercises daily too Blush I had my second baby start of January, so I'm also trying to snap back ( slowly) I do totally agree with 9 months on, 9 months off theory !

recklessgran · 02/06/2020 22:15

Evening all, I've had a spectacular fall from grace and lived up to my username. Let's just say that toast, freshly baked baguettes and a number of thick sausages from the BBQ were involved. I should be ashamed! It is DD2's birthday so we had a socially distanced barbecue to make the most of the last day of proper sunshine.
Back on it tomorrow but must admit that I'm finding it more and more difficult to stick to keto. Nothing else works for me as I've got an underactive thyroid so need to give myself a talking too before I undo all I've done so far.
Welcome to all the new faces - this is a great place to be and I'm quite sure that I wouldn't have been as successful as I have been to date without our lovely @Cricketmum84 & Co.

Ginandtonic31 · 02/06/2020 22:50

@ishouldtryabiteachday yes the baby was checked although the dr was rubbish!

What could happen if not careful with exercise? I've been doing HIIT every day. Hope I've not buggered myself up. I've always done pelvic floor exercises anyway so trying to continue and hoping jumping about isn't buggering them up too!

I'm trying to take the weight loss slowly (as much as it upsets me seeing myself in the mirror) which is something I'm not great at but will just take my time with it.

Today I started with a big mushroom with an egg baked in it, Serrano ham and avocado with chilli for breakfast. Lunch we bbq'd some chicken which I had with salad and then raspberries and cream and then tonight I had pork, cauli cheesy mash and roasted swede. Day 2 down. Also did the HIIT training but now worried I've been damaging myself! Need to try and get out walking more but with the weather forecast this week that doesn't look likely.

Ginandtonic31 · 02/06/2020 22:52

I'm also desperate to get back wit swimming!

Ladywinesalot · 02/06/2020 22:52

Can I join?

It’s pulled on since lockdown and I’m ashamed.

SW 1st June: 11st 8lb
TW: 10st

JessJonesJumps · 02/06/2020 23:16

My DSIS dropped off a bag of treats on Sunday so I've eaten some chocolate buttons today. Plus I had an ice cream. I can't decide if it's the weather or because I'm peri-menopausal but even though it's raining heavily here, I am so warm!
I didn't manage any exercise today and tomorrow is going to be quite hectic so I'm not sure I'll fit any in tomorrow either.

Irishstout · 03/06/2020 08:46

@recklessgran try not to think about it too much. You've got to be able to 'cheat' every now and then or else it's not sustainable.

Yesterday was a good day 12,000 steps. I did 6 miles on my bike with good intentions to do more but my chain broke Sad so I had to stop there. Itll be a new chain today but stationary bike or a run (if i can find the courage). Was very disappointed to step on the scales and see I've put on 1lb. Trying not to think about it too much as I can hardly expect yesterdays really good day to suddenly make it all better!

Plans for the day:
B: porridge (I've dropped 10g from my usual amount try try and reduce calories without noticing)
L: something egg based with my still huge number of eggs
D: chicken pie as DP will be here (I will avoid the pastry)

I must be the only one a bit happy to see the rain. The dog will be much happier in the coming weather so I'm planning a beach walk this morning so hopefully smash my 10k step target!

Tryingtwo · 03/06/2020 11:04

Good morning all, weigh in today and as expected a good loss of 2.8lbs down to 12st 2.2lbs which is still 4.2lbs up on 1st May. Drank lots of water yesterday (and was up 3 times in the night) and finished at 1280 cals 30 above target. One of the things that derailed me last month was reducing cals from 1350 to 1250 only a small reduction but I am used to eating a fairly small range of foods and cutting out a 'treat' was hard. This month feels like a fresh start so the new limit seems easier (so far). I managed a short walk around the block with dgs2 and a much longer one with dgs1 including the park. Social distancing and not using the exercise equipment is being completely ignored by local teenagers now.

MonicaBingaling · 03/06/2020 18:04

Afternoon all, well done on all the losses, and welcome new people ❤️

I meant to post this earlier but was suprised when I weighed myself this morning to see I’ve lost another almost 2 pounds (1 and 3 quarters)

Didn’t expect this to be honest as it’s not even been a week yet (it’s 2 days before weigh-in day for me) and I’ve not exercised for a few days either due to an injury.

So feeling positive and I’m just going to try my best to stick with what I’ve been doing so far (calorie deficit)

Although my period is on its way so I’m always tempted by naughty snacks and I hate the bloating too. So well see what happens

SconNotScone · 03/06/2020 19:43

Sounds like a good start to the month for some, well done! I have done my planned exercise today (20 min thigh burner on youtube), but food-wise I am listing today as a write off! 😭 it has not gone well! Tomorrow is a new day!

Chimchimcharoo · 03/06/2020 20:18

Had a really hungry day today. Opened some chocolates but made sure the kids were there to see and share! Over my calorie count but not by too much considering. Run day tomorrow so hopefully burn it off!

cricketmum84 · 03/06/2020 21:05

Evening all :) not done too badly today. I smacked on cherries throughout the morning, then made a salad sandwich in a bread roll for lunch. Spelt spaghetti with cherry tomatoes and fresh basil for dinner but only a small portion. Think I could do with a few no-carb days before saturdays weigh in!

Good day food wise today. Small bowl of salad for lunch with a little square of strong cheddar cheese. Steak and stir fry for dinner followed by 2 squares of dark chocolate. I've been trying to drink more water as well. The scales were up again this morning unsurprisingly so hope I've done something to pull it back today. KOKO everyone.

crivit · 03/06/2020 23:30

Signing in a couple of days late this month - totally losing track of the days despite having been back at work for 3 weeks!

Weighed in this morning at 66.2 so only around half a kilo down from the beginning of May. However, I know I'm snacking more (don't much care for my job and I'm an emotional eater...) and for the last week I've dropped my weights and cardio due to an injury. Still doing my yoga everyday plus daily walking and 1 or 2 cycle rides a week.

My scales aim for June is just to lose some weight. I'm in healthy BMI by a few kilos now so nowt is going to go quickly! My main aim is to try and make generally healthy (for body, mind and soul) choices. And find a new job ideally 😁

Wishing everyone the best for June!

NerrSnerr · 04/06/2020 07:43

Hi all. Just checking in. I am 2lbs down so far which I am pleased about (although know it's mostly water). I need to get into a rhythm and plan my meals better. I'm not doing much exercise in the week at the moment as it's a juggle with work and the children but that should improve as times goes on.

WhatALearningCurve · 04/06/2020 08:18

Morning! Down 2lb this morning from Monday but have started my period today so although I seem to be on the right track I'm going to try and be super strict over the next few days to limit my bloating as much as possible

ishouldtryabiteachdayy · 04/06/2020 10:14

Ok weigh in for June this morning .. id say it's 1 lbs off .. that seems my level. I find it hard to be in a calorie deficit, so I'll have to go with the slow but steady approach. Just had a plain wholemeal roll as a snack as I wanted biscuits!

Starting weight
16th April 11st 2 lbs

28th May 10.8 lbs

Today 10.68 lbs ( really its 1 off)!

dobbyssoc · 04/06/2020 10:19

No loss at all this week. So so disappointed but it has been my TOTM so maybe that has contributed.

Onesmallstep67 · 04/06/2020 10:24

Morning everyone. Pleased to say that the 2 lbs drop on Tuesday has been maintained and a bit more on top. Heading back down thank goodness although it's taking longer to come off than it did to go on !

Irishstout · 04/06/2020 10:53

Morning everyone. Just checking into this thread every day helps so much to keep me focused and accountable.

Hit my 10k steps yesterday but didnt manage a bike ride on top as my leg muscles were achy. Plan for today:
B: porridge
L: omlett
D: leftovers from last night.

Aiming for 10k steps again and might get on the indoor bike but I'm off work and have so much to get done I'll have to prioritise that today.

Hi everyone, all going ok here, have been much more sensible this week and getting nearer my 16:8 fasting windows all the time. I’m going for a run a bit later too - I was really into running g but have lost my mojo the last fortnight.

Chimchimcharoo · 04/06/2020 19:34

Checking in too as it makes me feel focused. Ran today. Ate well. It’s been a good day. Anybody got any recommended you tube workouts?

SconNotScone · 04/06/2020 20:41

@Chimchimcharoo I do Pop Sugar videos on YouTube, loads of different workouts, and I don’t find the instructors too annoying!

cricketmum84 · 04/06/2020 21:00

How has everyone got on today? Sorry for late check in from me - been a really busy work day before an actual day of annual leave tomorrow!! So looking forward to a chill out day.

Good food day today with 2 poached duck eggs this morning and then a quorn stir fry with brown rice this evening. No snacks in between and lots of water drunk. It's my birthday Sunday so trying to get ahead and be extra good before I have a few treats :)
