You ladies are so motivational! I'd love to join.

In 2018 I went from 14st 10lb to 11st 11lb and promised myself I wouldnt put it back on. Its slowly crept up and I was 12st 6lb at christmas and now just hit 13stone. I am so annoyed at myself.

I've been so unmotivated during lockdown and all my normal fitness classes have stopped which hasn't helped. I'm better if I'm busy but need the motivation to be busy or just sit on my backside.

So....

Start weight 13st0lb
End of may goal: something starting with 12!
Goal weight: 11stone

I'm gunna MFP track food, aim for 15k steps (as an aim but I MUST hit 10k) I'm a natural Walker and have a dog so this should be achievable. I wanna do at least 1 cardio exercise a day +/- yoga. Will aim for yoga and cardio a day during the month off!

Fitbit charging ready for step counting!

I'll do proper goals for June!!!

cricketmum84 · 25/05/2020 11:57

Morning all! Happy bank holiday :) am going to see my lovely mum today from the bottom of her garden! It will feel weird to dress up and put some makeup on!

Plan for today is:
Small bowl of cherries in a little while then evening meal is a baked potato, a sachet of vegan "tuna" and salad.

Welcome @rollerkiwicat :)

Amazing news @SconNotScone! You'll be down under 10 in no time!

A positive mindset Makes all the difference @WhatALearningCurve. I always beat myself up a bit after something like a takeaway but I know it's really not a healthy way to feel. Sounds like you've got this week in hand!

Whoop @GetTheStartyParted! 3 stone is amazing! What a fantastic start to the week! Would defo like to see the insta account

Still heading in the right direction @recklessgran you can defo make the 11s by next weekend.

Welcome @Irishstout your plan sounds spot on!!

Have a lovely sunny day everyone!

Welcome @rollerkiwicat and @Irishstout

Your bbq sounds lovely @SconNotScone!

Hope you have a lovely meet up with your mum @cricketmum84

Back from a long walk (6 miles) with dp and dds and now ache all over Grin but feel cheerful and doing well on food so far today.

Just had a bowl of veg soup for lunch and one slice of bread plus strawberries and a little yoghurt. Hoping to keep it relatively low calorie tonight as well

GetTheStartyParted · 25/05/2020 16:17

Welcome @Irishstout

Thanks @cricketmum84 it took a little long than I hoped and I'm only about halfway to my target but I'm so happy today! As above, my insta page is kp.keto

Enjoy your sunny meet up with your mum Smile perfect day for it.

@Onceuponatimethen that sounds very energetic for such a hot day.

I've been decorating, my newly acquired room. DD moved out last month. It's going to be my library/study/craft room. It will have a large desk, bookcases, and the biggest, most comfortable armchair to curl up and read a book in (the armchair currently takes up way too much space in the living room).

Onceuponatimethen · 25/05/2020 20:28

@GetTheStartyParted that sounds so luxurious- a whole extra room!! Sounds like a lovely project to have in hand during the lockdown.

The walk was energetic but we started quite early so only the last bit of it was hot and there is a lot of woodland on the route and all on the level, so not as impress as it sounds!!

GetTheStartyParted · 25/05/2020 21:18

Thank you, it feels luxurious as it's going to be almost exclusively mine!

DS's room opposite will be for DH to do as he pleases, when he moves out. He's 21 and works away at the moment so probably won't be too long. It will either be a cinema room or a home gym. I imagine it will be a cinema room and the study downstairs will become the gym.

At the moment DH has gym equipment all around the house Grin maybe I should use some of it!

Your walk truly is impressive, the furthest I walked was from downstairs to upstairs!

Onceuponatimethen · 26/05/2020 07:16

@GetTheStartyParted ooh yes with gym equipment- you might discover you love it! my dp used to have a treadmill when we met and ran on it for miles every evening but I always just say and watched Blush

Onceuponatimethen · 26/05/2020 07:22

Morning all! Hope everyone slept well.

Weighed in and more or less STS at 75.5!
I’m going to try to be really dedicated for the next few days, so I can end the month on 75 kg which was my lowest for May.

Then for June my goal is going to be to get down to 74kg. That would be my lowest weight in about 5 years.

I think the key is going to be to keep my exercise up and try to hold back on eating too many sneaky snacks.

We are all doing so well to be sticking to trying to lose in lockdown and I can’t believe what we’ve collectively achieved since March!

Onceuponatimethen · 26/05/2020 07:30

Food plan for today:

Brek only fruit
Lunch only veg soup and salad
Dinner boiled eggs and veg

Exercise plan:

Aiming for 10k steps

Morning - Kiddie workouts with dds (aiming for 3k steps)

Early afternoon- silly dances with dds from YouTube (chicken dance etc) around 2k steps

Late afternoon - Walking in garden with dds 2k steps

Evening - chatting on phone with relatives - aiming for 2k steps

Incidental walking around and hoovering etc = 1k steps

Irishstout · 26/05/2020 08:08

Didn't do too badly yesterday. Didnt make the steps but my watch only charged at about 3pm and the dog refused his walk because it was too hot. Managed 15k bike ride in the evening to make up for it a bit.

Decided to get up and dog walk early. The dog is big and fluffy and hates the heat so I thought this would stop the refusal. He wasnt too keen but we did it! So I'm 6k steps by 8am! Grin

Plan for today

Breakfast: not v hungry atm so may just have another coffee
Lunch: crustless quiche
Dinner: baked potato and some beans

Hope everyone is enjoying the sun!

Onceuponatimethen · 26/05/2020 08:16

@Irishstout wow re bike ride. That would more than be 10k steps I would think!

Great work with the steps this morning as well. I’ve found it really motivating doing the kiddie workouts straight after breakfast because it gives you a big step count to start the day and you somehow feel you are already well on track!

SconNotScone · 26/05/2020 08:33

Ugh, I just wrote a long reply tagging people and everything and I left the page and it disappeared! Forgive me for not typing it out again. So just to say, well done on any losses, no matter how small, and also the amazing exercise going on already, despite the fact it’s 8:30am, and I am still in bed, for shame! Also hope that people have enjoyed any plans they have had over the last couple of days, including seeing family, stuff around the house (a whole extra room all to myself would be amazing!) and getting outdoors.

Our bbq yesterday was fab, I obviously ate too much, including multiple toasted marshmallows, but I enjoyed myself, and that’s what matters! I got 12k steps, so don’t feel too bad. I’ve managed to not go below 10k steps at all since the middle of April, so keen to keep it up!

HundredYearOldMan · 26/05/2020 09:03

Good morning everyone, some great losses and impressive exercise regimes going on here! I have lost 3 pounds this week (now 14st 6) but I must admit, I have done little to no exercise. We usually go for a nice long walk on each weekend day and some shorter walks during the week but the weather was terrible at the weekend!

However, I have met my May target by losing 8lbs this month. Maybe by the end of June I will see a 13 on the scales, that would be amazing. At some point I might start the couch 2 5k, I completed it last year and enjoyed it.

B - coffee
L - leftover tuna sweetcorn pasta
D - undecided!

grumpyorange · 26/05/2020 09:37

Mid week weigh today. I've made it into the stone below. Only by 0.6lbs but I'm still counting that as a success!

Well done to everyone else

cricketmum84 · 26/05/2020 13:54

I'm so impressed by all the exercise efforts! So much more get up and go than me!

@Onceuponatimethen omg I slept awful! Couldn't get into a comfy position as I still have a lot of post shingles pain, just tossed and turned all night. Am knackered today.

So far I've had a thick slice of granary bread with cheese spread, got a banana and some cherries for later if I get peckish. Plan for this evening is dry fried eggs, mushrooms and tomatoes with grilled asparagus. Need to avoid eating any more bread as tempting as it is.

Sorry it's a short one - need to get back to work but I'll have a proper read through all the recent posts when I'm done later (if I'm not fast asleep by 3 😂)

recklessgran · 26/05/2020 15:27

Afternoon all. I took a day off from dieting yesterday as we had a barbecue. I really enjoyed my generously buttered finger roll containing 2 fat sausages. I gave the cheeseburgers a swerve - really not keen on them but did have a couple of chicken and veg skewers. It didn't stop there as I also ate 4 jammie dodgers and 2 slices of toast and marmite for supper. A pound gain on the scales this morning felt O.K compared to how much I enjoyed myself in the garden yesterday.
I'm back on it today and had bacon and egg for lunch. Will be having some kind of salad later - probably tuna mayo.
Hope everyone is doing O.K. - bit busy workwise so will read through and catch up with you all later.

ishouldtryabiteachday · 26/05/2020 16:25

I forgot to check in on Thursday which is my weight in day ( because I started my new diet on a Thursday)
So on Thursday 21st May 10st 9 lbs - so again 1 lb weight loss that week. I did have again have a few cheats, homemade flapjacks made by DS & Daddy and we made chocolate cakes. I tried to adjust my day to not over eat, rest of my diet is very good, but I find it better to not start on the treats as I can't stop myself and I had about 5 flapjacks. It's really hard. Looks unlikely that I'll hit the 7 lb target, unless I loose 3 lbs this week. Fingers crossed 🤞

JessJonesJumps · 26/05/2020 18:10

@SconNotScone your bbq sounds fab. I'm almost tempted to dig out our's and have one tomorrow (if the weather holds).
I'm up by over 1lb today but it's also TOTM so tomorrow might be better.
I feel like I'm constantly ordering food. We're eating so much more than usual. I know it's because we're all at home but I still can't help being shocked at just how much we're getting through!
I did some yoga this morning but I think I'll drag DS into the garden for some tennis or archery before dinner.

GetTheStartyParted · 26/05/2020 18:11

@ishouldtryabiteachday I have my fingers crossed for the both of us, I need to lose 3lbs this week too! Surely we can do it? Grin

Onceuponatimethen · 26/05/2020 20:42

@SconNotScone and @recklessgran your bbqs sound really lovely!

@HundredYearOldMan and @grumpyorange
well done for your losses Star

Good luck for your target @ishouldtryabiteachday! A loss is a loss I always think, so any loss is good. I’m sure you and @GetTheStartyParted can do it!

@cricketmum84 oh no about your sleep! Really sorry to hear that and hoping you will sleep better tonight.

@JessJonesJumps TOTM definitely doesn’t count! I shot right up on mine - at least 2kg up which was weird.

Onceuponatimethen · 26/05/2020 20:46

Not done too bad on food or exercise today for once. Hoping I’m back on track and keen to end the month at 75kg as that was my lowest this month before I put a bit of weight back on!

I think I’m at about 1,300 calories intake today roughly and have done around 7,500 steps and going to do some walking on the phone to dm in a bit to try to get up to 10,000 Steps

MonicaBingaling · 26/05/2020 22:16

Hey everyone not feeling to great today.

Despite working my bum off with exercise and eating 1300 calories with hardly any carbs the scales haven’t moved and I feel bloated and huge :(

Don’t know what I’m doing wrong but I feel like giving up tbh!

I’m not due on a period so don’t know why my stomach is so huge but I feel like such a failure.

I have lost 9lbs since end of April but now I don’t seem to be making any progress despite working so hard with my diet and fitness!

It’s frustrating because I could understand it if I was binging on junk food but I’ve been eating things like fruit, eggs, meat mainly proteins and hardly any carbs. I have porridge in the morning but that’s it

Going to bed early with a migraine and feeling throughly fed up 😢

Onceuponatimethen · 26/05/2020 23:36

Oh no @MonicaBingaling really sorry about your migraine. I get them too so can really sympathise. Hang on in there and you will see a drop. It honestly just isn’t immediate - some months I’ve eaten really sensibly and exercised for days and nothing at all has come off. Then all of a sudden the scales move and you see the effect. You can do it Flowers

Ploughingthrough · 27/05/2020 00:41

Morning from Singapore everyone. All this talk of bbqs is making me jealous! We really miss having a garden, and we're still in a pretty strict lockdown here so no outdoor activity for some time. I have to be swab tested today before I go back to work next week so can't wait for that....
My weight for the last two days is 59.6 kilos or 9 stone 5lb. Like a said a while ago I would like to stay within 59-61 kilos so trying to get down to the bottom end to give myself a bit of buffer for when restaurants re-open and I can't get enough of eating out!

Onceuponatimethen · 27/05/2020 07:54

Really sorry you can’t go out @Ploughingthrough - really hope the restrictions get relaxed at some point soon! Wow that you are so close to your target - that is brilliant and only a little way to go now!!
