Fuck, I've literally ate my way through the last four weeks.

I was already a couple of stone overweight and now I've done loads more damage. All I do is eat and then eat some more.

I'm going to sort my shit out starting tomorrow, anyone else want to join me?

I forgot to say - knitting does help me not to eat, but only if I actually have the motivation to pick it up - motivation which is sadly lacking at the moment.

When I do knit, if I knit fast enough, my FitBit counts it as steps!!

diege · 03/05/2020 12:38

Knitter here too owlina - you've inspired me to get my needles out again 😊
Embroidery sounds great too jonhamm - such an absorbing and relaxing hobby.
Feeling I've passed the point of no return with this diet - can't see me returning to my gluttonous ways for a good while yet. Please remind me if this in the coming weeks!
Hope everyone's enjoying the weekend. Weather lovely and sunny here!

Fabulodosus · 03/05/2020 12:38

@whatisheupto I'm on my 3rd week of not eating after 8... allows for a quick snack (or tea! ) after the kids are in bed and then nothing until breakfast. I'm surprised how easy I've found it to be honest. If I've felt like a snack then I've just reminded myself why not, had a drink of water and persevered!

diege · 03/05/2020 12:40

SDT sounds like you're very accomplished! Would love to try crochet! 🧶

JonHammIsMyJamm · 03/05/2020 12:56

Grin I love that your Fitbit counts knitting as steps, @SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius Grin. I think mine would think I’d died, I’m so slow. I have never picked up an embroidery hoop in my life, so a stitch along group might be a bit ambitious Blush. I’ll get a beginners kit and see how I get on. I may well be in touch, thank you Smile.

I fell off last week. Had a really awful emotional week and a migraine which lasted five days. I discovered deliveroo deliver Marks and Spencer’s and ate one to many millionaire bites and put on a pound.
Have committed to doing the PE with Joe Wicks tomorrow with my Son, hoping it will give us a bit of a routine and help with the eating. Really need to focus now!

MrsSnitchnose · 03/05/2020 14:53

My heart rate monitor has just arrived! Never owned one before and wish it would have come this morning for when I was getting my ass kicked during my workout 😂

Tuesday is my next one, so looking forward to seeing accurate readings.

lovinglavidaloca · 03/05/2020 15:09

Lovely weather here too! You lot have inspired me to try and find an easy cross stitch to do. I haven’t done it since I was a child.

I’ve had a good day food wise. Just a roll with ham, lettuce and mayo for lunch and an ice lolly after a big cycle with the family. On track to be well below calories.

I weigh on Monday’s as opposed to Thursdays like the rest of you but am not holding out much hope for a loss tomorrow because I have my period. Even though my calories have been fantastic this week.

ShrimpingViolet · 03/05/2020 15:33

Hello gang - could I please join? I'm really late to this bandwagon but definitely need some accountability.

Got in some very bad "whatevs" habits with regard to raspberry magnums (and brownies, biscuits, ice cream, rocky road...) when pregnant and have sadly kept hold of them despite DD being one now Blush

I've been doing at least two hours of walking every day with the dog but I also need to do some more weights based exercise and get my eating habits in better shape.

Well done to those of you who have a handle on it already. The only handles I've currently got are of the love variety.

whatisheupto · 03/05/2020 15:36

Thanks all for the encouragement and inspiration. Will consider knitting but also like what @Fabulodosus says ..... I will try and just make it my rule, nothing after 8pm.

Oblomov20 · 03/05/2020 15:42

I'm the biggest I've ever been. I'm so cross with myself.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 03/05/2020 15:51

Me too, @Oblomov20 - and I have rendered myself almost immobile because of the stress on my knees and ankles.

On a lighter, knitting note - this is a picture of a cardigan I knitted myself at the end of last year. I committed the knitters’ cardinal sin, and did not check my tension, so what should have been a cardigan that would fit me, turned into a small woolly marquee. Yes - you heard me - I knitted a garment that was too big even for me! I didn’t even think that was possible.

As I had seen in all the thousands of ends before making it up and realising how ginormous it was, I couldn’t even u ravel it and knit it again, smaller - and I didn’t know how to go about finding a recipient for a cardigan so big a small family could live in it - but I couldn’t bring myself to get rid of it - so dh threw it away one day, to save me further agonising!

lovinglavidaloca · 03/05/2020 16:02

Aww it’s a lovely cardi though! What a shame Sad

I’m liking the 12-8 window idea as well. I might give that a go this week as I don’t often eat breakfast anyway.

ImperfectTents · 03/05/2020 16:10

Omg the cardigan! What a shame you should have ripped back and started again.

Anyone having diet fatigue. I know I need to stick it out and have lost a good amount but still need to lose at least another 1/2 stone to fit back into my normal clothes but I am utterly fed up. Everything is a bit shit really. Heh ho.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 03/05/2020 16:53

I couldn’t rip it back because I had sewn in all the ends really, really securely, so it wouldn’t rip back.

overwork · 03/05/2020 16:53

Keep going @ImperfectTents, half a stone is really achievable and it's within reach! I can't really help out, to get diet fatigue I'd have to have had diet motivation in the first place. But I like to think I'll get there through osmosis on the back of everyone else's efforts Blush

JonHammIsMyJamm · 03/05/2020 17:21

@SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius, I love that cardi, even if it is on the generous side. You’re very talented.

OwlinaTree · 03/05/2020 17:27

This is my current project, going to be a hat.

Anyone else been scoffing non stop since lockdown?
MrsSnitchnose · 03/05/2020 17:55

@SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius I can't even imagine the pain of weaving in all those ends, only to have to throw it away!

ImperfectTents · 03/05/2020 19:12

Love the hat @OwlinaTree

Queenoftheashes · 03/05/2020 19:25

Aw couldn’t it have been an oversized cardigan?

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 03/05/2020 21:05

It drowned me - which is something of an achievement. Like I said - small woolly marquee!

Fabulodosus · 03/05/2020 21:08

Amazing knitting both!! I decided I was unlikely to have time in the foreseeable future so gave everything away to a neighbor's as she wanted to teach her daughter in the lock down... def a more worthwhile home... I never got past a simple scarf!!!

Hi everyone, checking in to say that I’m utterly disgusted with myself. I’ve had a dreadful weekend food wise, have eaten and drunk for too much. Main meals have been relatively healthy, although quantity probably unnecessarily large, but I’ve just snacked on crisps, chordate and cake and drunk loads of wine. I spent half the night awake feeling really bloated and uncomfortable (thanking rhubarb crumble at 9pm for that). I decided to get on the scales this morning to see if that feeling was reflected and OMG I appear to have put on 4 ponds since Thursday!
Hoping this gives me the kick I need, I look awful, my stomach is sticking out and I can feel it wobbling about in front of me!
Off to walk the dog now and planning salad for lunch and soup for dinner. Hope everyone else is doing better than me
