Anyone else been scoffing non stop since lockdown?

Fuck, I've literally ate my way through the last four weeks.

I was already a couple of stone overweight and now I've done loads more damage. All I do is eat and then eat some more.

I'm going to sort my shit out starting tomorrow, anyone else want to join me?

I don’t know it’s a motivator because it’s not mentioned.

I realise I sound goady but tbh the tone of the thread joking about scoffing non stop and knickers being too tight sounds like people don’t really take being overweight as a serious health concern 🤷‍♀️

menthollyinsane · 15/04/2020 18:50

@feelingnervousnow me too, I need to empty the house of junk tonight. 😂

@hamstersarse I don't think this is the thread for you.

I'm pleased that your weight is not a concern for you, hamstersarse.

Perhaps this isn't the thread for you?

HouseTornado · 15/04/2020 18:55

menthollyinsane Smile

menthollyinsane · 15/04/2020 18:56

Me, until I caught a glance at my reflection doing an online yoga class Sunday morning. That was kick in the hole I needed and have been cutting out the crap and logging my food intake on my fit bit for the last 3 days. Feel much better already and am determined to come out of this looking better than I went in. It took me 4 weeks of eating all around me to get here though. Like I was eating bars and crisps during the day on top of my normal meals and having cake with cream and pastries in the evening too.

feelingnervousnow · 15/04/2020 19:00

Am wondering how wrong it would be to have a kitkat chunky while my tea cooks. They have to go after all Wink

FAQs · 15/04/2020 19:01

I realised my clothes were an issue last week, Friday and yesterday I just about managed 20 min jogs and hour walks, today couldn’t quite finish Joe Wicks PE lesson, scared to weigh myself but reckon I’m around 12.5 stone want to get to 9.5 stone 😞

menthollyinsane · 15/04/2020 19:02

@feelingnervousnow go for it, the Kit Kat's need to go by morning.

Can I join please? Smile i’ve just stepped on my scales, which are telling me I have gained 4lbs and currently weighing the heaviest I have ever been.

I am disgusted with myself. Tomorrow is a new day and we can do this!

feelingnervousnow · 15/04/2020 19:10

@menthollyinsane thanks for the support, I appreciate it x

menthollyinsane · 15/04/2020 19:11

@ListenLinda I've not been brave enough to weigh myself but I know that I am the heaviest that I have ever been. My clothes are so tight and I am feeling disgusted.

It all changes tomorrow though.

You all had better be here in the morning! Except for @hamstersarse obviously Grin

I hear you op, I look like a Budda, I was passable a few weeks ago.

Reminds me of this:

Anyone else been scoffing non stop since lockdown?
cushioncovers · 15/04/2020 19:15

Yep me. I can't seem to stop eating. My clothes are already getting tighter. I feel thoroughly disappointed in myself.

Italiandreams · 15/04/2020 19:15

Can I join? Keep finding myself in the fridge... need some motivation, especially now my summer holiday has been cancelled.

AutumnNymph · 15/04/2020 19:16

@hamstersarse not everyone trying to lose weight is obese either !! That’s quite an assumption to make.

My BMi is well within normal but I have gained weight (still within normal range) that I want to shed for health reasons.

There are many of us who want to stay a healthy weight who aren’t exactly “obese”

Vilt · 15/04/2020 19:20

Please could I join you? I'm a bit of a mumsnet novice, I hope you don't mind.

I could have written your op myself. I've been eating my feelings for four weeks now and I feel disgusting. I don't know how to turn it around.

feelingnervousnow · 15/04/2020 19:22

I think what we’re trying to say is knob off @hamstersarse Grin

NetofLemons · 15/04/2020 19:25

Ooh... can I join? I’m still hoovering up Easter eggs constantly and haven’t been active for a few weeks as I’ve had a bug and been feeling tired and crap.

absolutehush · 15/04/2020 19:28

Me please! I weighed myself last week and it was not good.

I'm bored and tired and grumpy - the solution to all these things appear to be food and wine. But now my ELASTICATED pjs are too tight. It needs to stop.

I need accountability!

Racheyg · 15/04/2020 19:31

Yes me!! I have no idea why I can't keep out the kitchen.

I bake to keep the kids happy and we eat. We do fakeaways at weekends, I do t normally drink much but I'm now drinking Friday - Sunday.

I need to sort it out 😭

Hileni · 15/04/2020 19:37

I'm actually so excited! I lose weight so much better in a group! Thanks so much for setting this up, @menthollyinsane it's given me the push to commit!

menthollyinsane · 15/04/2020 19:38

@Hileni I'm excited too. I feel I can tackle this now that I have a bit of support s thanks for joining me everyone.
