Fuck, I've literally ate my way through the last four weeks.

I was already a couple of stone overweight and now I've done loads more damage. All I do is eat and then eat some more.

I'm going to sort my shit out starting tomorrow, anyone else want to join me?

Happy Saturday everyone!

I'm sitting here eating a lovely slice of cake... supporting a local business run by one if the neighbours is my excuse Hmm

I'm off out for a long bike ride tomorrow so I don't feel too bad and at least I've not made it so there's not the rest if the cake here tempting me!!

Chinese sounds lovely... I might have to make one tonight Grin

RaskolnikovsGarret · 02/05/2020 13:21

Well done everyone. After two weeks I am back to my starting weight (have put on and lost 4 pounds during that period). Some of it will be water gain and loss, but I have also been trying to stop bingeing, and have managed to avoid it since Wednesday. Fingers crossed.

Well done everyone on their exercise. I only do walking as I am so unfit.

JonHammIsMyJamm · 02/05/2020 15:16

Afternoon all

Well done @lovinglavidaloca, that’s a heck of an achievement!

I’ve done well with exercise today, 1hr dog walk & w4r1 of c25k. That came to just under 500 cals in total, according to my Fitbit, so that’s good. Have had a bit of a piggy lunch though with humous, olive grissini, crisps and chocolate (about 525 tracked on MFP). Have got cote de boeuf for dinner later (yum!).

lovinglavidaloca · 02/05/2020 17:22

That’s in a week btw! Not a day Shock

It’s taken me eating under 1300 per day and doing 300-500 calories worth of exercise per day to get that 7000 deficit which should get me 2lbs off so it’s definitely opening my eyes to why it’s so hard to lose weight!

Fabulodosus · 02/05/2020 17:58

@loving I still don't think I'd do that in a week?! Maybe a long weekend ride helps Hmm

Well done @RaskolnikovsGarret keep up the good work!!

OwlinaTree · 02/05/2020 20:15

DH made really lovely pizzas on the new BBQ tonight. It has a pizza stone. So delicious and crispy. Really enjoyed.

Have only had an omelette for breakfast and a bit of fruit so shouldn't be too bad I hope!

diege · 02/05/2020 20:19

Your piggy lunch sounds lovely jonhamm!
loving wow well done - that's real commitment!
I've had a good day food-wise. Pancakes for breakfast, lunch left over pasta and veg (bleugh), tea veg frittata. Snacks 3 rich t biscuits and a banana.
Now making a cake 😫 for the dcs. I'm sick of being their snack bitch - hopefully a cake will keep them happy! 😝

diege · 02/05/2020 20:20

owlina of course I want pizza now! 🤣

Late to the thread but just added myself to the spreadsheet. Around 5 years ago I reached peak weight of 15 stone 5. Since then I have dropped rather a lot getting down to 8 stone 9 in summer last year.

Since then I have put on 1 stone and 3 lbs, about half of that during the lockdown. Would really like to get down to around 8 stone (currently 9 12).

Started yesterday just restricting my calories and signed up for 3 months with DDP Yoga. Good luck everyone!

lovinglavidaloca · 02/05/2020 21:16

That’s amazing @MrsSnitchnose! What height are you if you don’t mind me asking?

I’ve just had a massive dinner but tried my best to accurately account for it on Nutracheck. Nothing else for me tonight!

MrsSnitchnose · 02/05/2020 21:22

@lovinglavidaloca Thank you Smile I'm 5'6" and 8 stone would put me a little into underweight but allows for the inevitable couple of pounds gain once I up calories to maintenance again.

I'm using myfitnesspal to log all mine. I don't eat until late afternoon/evening because that's when I'm most hungry

HaveAtEm · 02/05/2020 21:38

No 🤷‍♀️

lovinglavidaloca · 02/05/2020 21:52

I’m just an inch taller than you and can’t imagine ever getting to 8 stone! 9 is my goal but I’m aiming for 10 to begin with. Currently 11 stone 2 but started lockdown at 11 stone 7 so things are moving.

MrsSnitchnose · 02/05/2020 22:32

@lovinglavidaloca I've annoyed myself because I was so near! Didn't do any exercise apart from walking though so was still flabby. Hoping the yoga will sort it out this time, I really loved it when I tried it briefly before but had to return my brother's dvds and couldn't afford the outlay to buy them myself.

Well done on your loss so far!

sushinelove · 02/05/2020 23:52

Wow @MrsSnitchnose that is incredibly impressive.

MrsSnitchnose · 03/05/2020 00:02

@sushinelove Thanks Smile Was so worth the effort

sushinelove · 03/05/2020 00:10

@MrsSnitchnose that's completely life changing loss. My starting weight was 14:12 so not far off yours, at the moment I'll settle for being 12 😄 may I ask how many calories are you allowing for on mfp?

MrsSnitchnose · 03/05/2020 00:25

@sushinelove It really is. I feel so much better. I'm only set to lose 0.5lbs a week for now on mfp which gives me 1430. I tend to average about 1200 though when I do it properly which adds to about a pound a week.

I have to be careful and make sure my protein is good too, otherwise I start shedding hair if I'm too aggressive with cutting calories.

whatisheupto · 03/05/2020 01:00

Hi all,
Does anyone have tips for not eating at night in front of the tv? I eat really healthily otherwise but bloody hell, once the kids are in bed and I can relax I just start stuffing my face, it feels like a mix of celebration and rebellion. I was always slim but started gaining after having my kids in my 30s. I'm Fairly sure this night time habit is solely responsible for me being 8 to 10 kilos overweight. I just enjoy it so much (obvs!)... it's my reward. Help please!!!

MrsSnitchnose · 03/05/2020 01:05

I recommend painting your nails! Can't eat if they're wet. Or take up a hobby like crochet or knitting to keep your hands busy and gve you something else to focus on

OwlinaTree · 03/05/2020 09:54

I knit in the evenings, it does help.

JonHammIsMyJamm · 03/05/2020 10:13

I’m thinking of taking up embroidery/needlework. I follow an organisation called Fine Cell Work on Instagram. They work with people in prison, volunteers teach them needlework skills and the website sells the beautiful items prisoners have made (the prisoners get a fair share of the profit). The stuff is expensive because it’s fair trade and hand made. Anyway, they’ve been doing stitch tutorials on Instagram stories during covid and it just looks so soothing and the end product is gorgeous. I really fancy having a go.

JonHammIsMyJamm · 03/05/2020 10:15

My knitting is terrible; dropped stitches, loose stitches, tight stitches, the works.

lovinglavidaloca · 03/05/2020 10:21

Just force yourself the break the habit and it’ll become easier in time.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 03/05/2020 12:12

@JonHammIsMyJamm - I knit and crochet, and I have done some embroidery (mainly cross stitch) and I want to get back into it.

I found a stitch-along group on FB last week, where they do a small blackwork block each week, all year - I am quite a lot of weeks behind, but the blocks are small, so I am hoping to be able to catch up. If you are interested, and are on FB, and don't mind adding me as a friend, PM me, and I will invite you.

If knitting is not for you - how about crochet? There are some good YouTube tutorials, especially by Bella Coco, and crochet squares are very soothing to do - and since each one doesn't take long, you do get a sense of achievement too - whereas knitting is a much slower process, in my experience, so it can feel like you aren't getting anywhere.
