Morning. @Jollyholibobs you're doing great! The only way I know to stop hunger is to increase protein and reduce carbs. Perhaps try eggs for breakfast instead of porridge?
Food plan for today is OMAD again. Salmon fillet for dinner - not sure what with as I don't have any leaves left for a salad. I've got some lovely cherry tomatoes though and red onion so guess I will cobble something together. This lockdown makes for some "interesting" dinners I must say. Blackberries for dessert.
I've decided that I'm not really using my time in isolation very well. Work is patchy, but in between this I'm not doing anything worthwhile. I've decided that I'm going to make a little "To Do" list every morning to try to motivate myself. Today's list isn't very inspiring but includes wrapping DD1's birthday presents [birthday on 28th], phoning g/f as today is her late husband's birthday so she'll need a virtual hug, sending a gift to DD4 to keep her spirits up on the frontline [I'm supporting small businesses so today it's a pair of elephant pyjamas from nightie night] and making a shopping list of fresh stuff as DGS will be going to the supermarket for us tomorrow. Also need to clean the bathroom. I'll be pleased if I manage to achieve that lot.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Tryingtwo · 17/04/2020 10:54

Good morning all, another slight loss this morning. I didn't have a slice of cake but did eat two chocolate fingers and the broken bits from the first slice of cake because it would've been rude not to try it 😊

TheOnlyMrsW · 17/04/2020 12:22

So completely fell off the thread in March and off the wagon as well but determined to start again and try and stick to something this time! Scales this morning were 12st10lb so 2lb down from March, ironically wfh is actully helping as I'm finding it easier to drink water and getting between 8k-10k steps in most days as well. Onwards and upwards all!!!

Onceuponatimethen · 17/04/2020 13:38

Ladies I’m popping back on just to say I finally weighed and have lost what I had put back on! So down to 77.4kg now and very relieved!

4K steps so far today and going to try to keep it up to get to at least 8k if I can

Food

Breakfast - one slice toast with hummus, fruit

Lunch - veg soup and veg sticks

Dinner - got another delivery finally so will be salmon steaks, veg and cous cous

Dp is feeling quite disheartened this week. He’s lost so much, but needs to lose at least another 5k. We don’t know exactly where he started with his original weight but he may have lost 12-14 kg. I’m trying to encourage him to keep going.

crivit · 17/04/2020 14:08

Hi all. Had a rough few days personally so wasn't posting. Hope people are hanging on in there.

Weighed in at 67.1kg this morning which is the same as last week but I've only just finished my period so maybe that held me back (numbers did jump up a few hundred grams). Stuck with the sensible eating (I say this as I've just finished eating some chocolate... One square of dark with coffee and almonds with my post-lunch espresso. Damn good stuff.) and regular exercise which helped with everything else I think.

cricketmum84 · 17/04/2020 14:20

Afternoon :) had a naughty morning today and am stress eating.

2 toasted hot cross buns (the healthy wholemeal loaf had mould spots), w packet of French fries and a square of DDs homemade brownie.

Unsurprisingly weight is still up. Tonight's dinner is baked salmon, new potatoes, green beans, carrots and sweetcorn.

@Tryingtwo hope little DGS had a lovely birthday ❤️

Doing fab @JessJonesJumps I'm so impressed!

Love a veggie chilli @MotherOfDragonite! I've got one on my meal plan for next week with sweet potato, black beans and sweetcorn :)

Definitely agree with @recklessgran about increasing protein for hunger. Whilst working from home I've been having poached or dry fried eggs some mornings with either mushrooms, asparagus or cherry tomatoes and I find I'm a lot less snacky during the day than if I have toast.

@Onceuponatimethen I think it's so easy to lose motivation during all this. I just slumped when they confirmed another 3 weeks. Probably why I've eaten so badly today! But he has done amazing so far, just keep squeezing him and reminding him how much us lot are cheerleading! Don't let him let us down lol!

Hope all is ok @crivit ThanksWine

@CricketMum84 I've got my pom poms out here ready....

JessJonesJumps · 17/04/2020 14:39

Oh well, slightly up this morning.

I made the mistake of ordering an amazing cake in our wholesaler's delivery. I'd assumed it would come wrapped in individual slices but instead it was one giant frozen chocolate cake - too big to fit in the freezer since we just have a fridgefreezer. So I had to immediately defrost it. DS had a slice yesterday but has now decided he doesn't like it and I'm left with the option of wasting it or eating an entire giant chocolate cake to myself before it goes bad. It doesn't help that it is glorious. I'm going to be eating chocolate cake as my OMAD amn't I?

reckless I know what you mean about feeling unproductive. I feel the days are disappearing and although I'm WFH, I'm not achieving very much at all. I also worry I'm letting DS play online too much too but DH is firmly of the view that it's good to relax our gaming rules because DS is on his own and it's his way to check in with his friends. And tbh DS is absolutely loving lockdown which definitely makes it all easier Grin

WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa · 18/04/2020 08:25

Good Morning everyone!

I'm finally starting to feel more positive. I've actually slept through the past three nights and exercised every day and it's really helped.

Diet hasn't been the worst so it'll be interesting to see the impact on the scales on Weds.

I keep thinking about how I could average 21'000 steps a day at work though, and how I'm nowhere near that now. I feel like even with exercise I'm on the back foot with creating a deficit. I guess we shall see. I suppose if I just maintain through lockdown it wouldn't be the end of the world?

Have a great "weekend" everyone. Quote marks because they don't really exist anymore! 😂

cricketmum84 · 18/04/2020 10:43

Morning all :) apparently it's something called saturday today? The days of the week have just lost all meaning to me.

Feeling a little excited as I've found an independent vegan food shop in the city centre that's offering free delivery so I've just put in an order for some goodies! Hello vegan bacon! I've also got a large surprise fruit and veg box coming Monday. I've not had any fresh fruit in for ages!

Plan for today is OMAD - evening meal only of cauliflower curry with brown rice and homemade 2 ingredient flatbreads.

Weight is back to April starting weight. Hopefully with all my healthy bits arriving soon I can start working on getting that back down again!

Enjoy your Saturdays!

Morning all. Pleased to report that OMAD seems to be working and my weight is slowly going down again. My little daily To Do list seems to have worked as apart from cleaning the bathroom I did at least manage to do the other things yesterday. So, today it's cleaning the bathroom at the top of the list. I can't keep dodging it. I also need to hoover through the house and clear out the 3 drawers in my desk where I tend to shove random crap - particularly bits of junk mail# and, catalogues. I can see that if I manage to keep this up I will feel that I'm at least doing something rather than nothing if you see what I mean. Not wanting to turn into a coronamoaner but I secretly wish DH would do the same - feeling guilty about feeling that way as I know how lucky I am to have him at all. The problem is that I'm starting to look at the patio in a different light........
Have a good day all.

Jollyholibobs · 18/04/2020 12:09

Good morning everyone. I like the to do list idea reckless. I feel like the weekend has nothing to do apart from keep working or risk eating from boredom. I can’t even think what to put on the to do list this morning. Have slept badly. Looks like the adult children had a late night from the state of the kitchen this morning. Think they probably disturbed me. DH thinks they went to bed at 3. I thought I heard voices at 4.00. They’re quiet now though. If I had the energy I’d get the hoover out.
Plan for day
Breakfast porridge with chia, banana and berries. Slice of freshly made granary bread-DHs speciality which I couldn’t resist.

Salad for lunch.

Dinner may not be up to me but I might opt out of what everyone else is having. Likely to be a grumpy day. Planning a walk with DH who is recovering from 3 weeks of CV and now thinks he can get back to full speed ahead. I also want to do a run if I can muster the energy. Oh and write that to do list.

JessJonesJumps · 18/04/2020 12:56

Slightly down this morning but had caramel shortcake for breakfast so soup for lunch and very small dinner for me. Or no soup and G&Ts after dinner instead 🤔 Just about to do a fencing workout.

Tryingtwo · 18/04/2020 13:39

Good afternoon all, I'm finally back down to last Saturday's weight of 12st 0.4lbs, hopefully this time next week I will be in the 11's 🤞 of course I thought that last week 😔

Onceuponatimethen · 18/04/2020 21:35

Hi all!

Got some more food delivered today and ate more or less sensibly—apart from the mini eggs— and managed 11,000 steps, so I’m pleased with how things went today Smile

@cricketmum84 that vegan delivery sounds good and would definitely like some of your cauli curry.

@Tryingtwo fingers crossed - I seem to be finally back to where I was

@JessJonesJumps impressed by the fencing! I bet that’s good for toning arms as well.

@WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa 21,000 that is loads! I am getting max 11,000 on any day but my average is just under 9,000 and that’s with a lot of effort Grin

@recklessgran good that your weight is going down again and hopefully it will get easier when we are all out of lockdown!

Ploughingthrough · 19/04/2020 00:08

Great job recklessgran I"m glad your OMAD is working.
I'm holding at 62.5kg; I would like to be losing a bit more but I'm not so there isn't much I can do other than try not to gain under these circumstances. I am a primary arts specialist in non-Covid life, so a lot of my day is spent moving/jumping around/doing music and movement with kids/walking around. I'm just not sedentary for my job so amount of time currently spent sitting on my bum is not helping!
Singapore allows us to take walks/runs, but it's steaming hot and masks are compulsory if you leave the house, so it really doesn't make for a enjoyable experience. As such a few home workouts are not really cutting it. I have a terrible fear of gaining but I need to relax and accept that these are not normal circumstances. And try not to eat the amazing rocky road that the little ploughings made with DH yesterday.....

cricketmum84 · 19/04/2020 09:46

Morning lovelies. Hope everyone is feeling a bit more positive now the sun is out!

Am following @recklessgran today and sticking to OMAD. Will be the leftover cauliflower curry and brown rice I think. It was very tasty and the big chunks of cauliflower gave it a much meatier texture than my usual veg curries :)

Was going to bake some cheese scones today but I can't trust myself to then eat at least 2 warm with lurpak melting into them... 😂

Jollyholibobs · 19/04/2020 12:30

Afternoon all.
I am feeling so much better today after a good nights sleep and a to do list. I am also down 3lbs from this time last week which helps me feel better. There’s a special meal being cooked here today but as it’s meat and I am a vegetarian I can easily opt out and sort myself a healthy option. DH managed a walk with no return of symptoms yesterday and I will do a run today. Enjoy the sunshine if you have it and have a nice day.

recklessgran · 19/04/2020 21:59

Evening all. I didn't manage to stick to OMAD today as I was starving by midday. So, bacon and egg for lunch and pork chop with pepper sauce and roast vegetables for dinner. I also pinched 2 tiny roast potatoes from DH and DD's dinner. Oh well, weigh day for me tomorrow so time will tell. The "to do" list is definitely improving my productivity so I'm going to keep that up going forward. I've spent a fortune today on some new black skinny jeans for me and a couple of jigsaws to add to DD1's birthday present pile. She's quite child like in that she prefers a big pile as opposed to a couple of lovely things, bless her. hope everyone has had a good day.

MotherOfDragonite · 19/04/2020 22:24

Evening! We escaped London to go and stay with my mum. After 5 weeks of self-isolation it was a massive relief. Also, Ocado seem to be more reliable again (I am a smart pass holder and they seem to have given us more access) and my mum gets a veg box so food is easier again.

Have had a few good days and actually saw the 15s on the scales today! It's hard to know whether that's a real loss or whether it's just the new scales here at my mum's house.

Fingers crossed for weigh-in on Wednesday... tomorrow I need to drink more water and run up and down the stairs for a bit of exercise!

GetTheStartyParted · 19/04/2020 22:25

Evening, I wouldn't be able to do OMAD yet so applaud you for doing it at all. I only need a light lunch usually and one main meal.

I spent a lot of today cleaning my kitchen and writing an inventory of the freezers. A keto list and a non-keto list. Quite a productive day. Oh and making a birthday card for my niece Smile

JessJonesJumps · 19/04/2020 22:38

I've eaten too much food this weekend but back to home schooling tomorrow so I'm hoping the routine will mean I eat less.

cricketmum84 · 20/04/2020 06:06

Down a pound again! Yay! I mean this does mean that I've lost an entire pound for the whole of April so far but I'm not complaining too much 😂

Plan for today is:
Lots and lots of water
L - mixed leaves, tomatoes and half tin of tuna with the homemade spicy dressing from last week.
D - broccoli, peppers, carrot ribbons and mushrooms in a Thai style broth with wholewheat noodles.

@JessJonesJumps yep home schooling starts here today too. I've put a schedule together for the week but god knows if we will be able to follow it 😂 I could never be a teacher...

Good news @MotherOfDragonite I really hope that makes things easier for you! And it's such a good feeling to see the next stone down on the scales :)

@recklessgran im very similar to your DD1 :) my sister always does a fab job of a big gift bag with lots of little things wrapped up inside - things I wouldn't normally buy for myself like expensive lip balm instead of Vaseline, posh face masks, earrings, lots of daft things with owls or cats on etc. She got me the most gorgeous cath kidston apron at Christmas too.

Well done on the loss @Jollyholibobs im also veggie but being a bit naughty during the lockdown with the occasional bit of fish creeping in. It definitely helps with weight loss for me though as DH and DDs favour quite carb heavy meaty and hearty meals so I can opt out and make a healthy veggie dish instead. DD(15) often goes for the veggie option with me and says she is going to stop eating meat but inevitably is lured back by a big steak within a week 😂

Morning all!

@cricketmum84 yay - a pound sounds great to me given this month had Easter in it!
Sharing your home schooling timetable thoughts - not sure how it’s going to work in this house!!

@MotherOfDragonite that must be much better being with your mum - nicer for you and kids I bet! I might copy you and do a bit of up and down stairs today

Food plan today is:

Breakfast - half slice of toast and fruit
Lunch - veg soup
Dinner - we have to eat the meat box in order of use by date so won’t be very low cal because we need to eat sausages!

Have a good day everyone. Good luck to all restarting the home schooling today!

recklessgran · 20/04/2020 09:23

Morning all. Today is my weigh day.
Last week 12st 7.25lbs
Today 12st 5 lbs
So that makes a total of 3lbs lost so far for April. Hoping to meet my April target and get down to 12st 3.75lbs by the end of the month. That will mean a total loss of 2 stone for me since I started Keto at the beginning of this year. I'm very pleased with that but realise that I do need to do lots of OMADs to get there.
@MotherofDragonite so glad you're with your mum and I'd like to bet she's thrilled too. You are doing so well. 15's? Yes! KOKO.
@GetTheStartyParted sounds like you're being very productive. Are you doing a To Do list or are you just one of those properly organised and motivated people?
My job for today is to get baking. DD1's carer has 3 hungry growing boys and although DD1 is here with us and therefore not in need of her p.a. we are keeping in close touch. Had a long chat with her yesterday and she said the boys were asking for my cakes. [Flattered!] She will pick up from the doorstep this afternoon. I will keep a few back for DH and DD. - not too many though as they are both gaining weight I notice.
@cricketmum84 well done on losing again - awesome amount you have lost.
Good luck today all you home schoolers - definitely not easy.
