Congratulations on the loss @recklessgran.

Not gone to plan but I'll be OK if I don't eat anything else today (possible as I am stuffed) and do my exercise:

B: Half mushroom pasta (280), veg (100), 4 chocolate thins (120), cheese souffle (250), trifle (300)
L: Tofu and mushroom stew 460

Lookingforpizza · 22/01/2020 12:47

Well I weigh more today than yesterday. Think I'll stay off the scales until Friday or Saturday am maybe. Walked the 2 and a bit miles to work today and intend to walk home so think that's okay for exercise. I've done my third day of 16:8 fasting and already feeling a lot better and not as hungry in the morning.

Food today:
L: Hummus and cheese crackers
D: Salmon with sweet potato mash and steamed veg
Snacks: Go ahead bar, stick of cheese, lentil curl crisps, maltesers. Maybe a tangerine in a bit (perks of free fruit from work!)

Does anyone have any ideas for tasty but low cal snacks that are filling and easy to take to work?

y0rkier0se · 22/01/2020 20:19

Well I got my pound off this morning so weighed in at 16”3. Had a banana for breakfast, a 330 kcal chicken on wholemeal sandwich for lunch with apple and grapes, pineapple for a snack at 4pm then a bloody kebab!! I ordered chicken shish so not AS bad but I ate 12 chips too. So no doubt I’ll be back to 16”4 in the morning! Trying not to dwell. Temporary lapse of judgement Grin

KnucklesMcGinty · 22/01/2020 20:21

I've just realised I'm not drinking anywhere near as much water as I was 2 weeks ago, so I'll try to drink more tomorrow.

Ihatesundays · 22/01/2020 22:49

I feel like I am doing it all wrong at the moment on the basis I am STARVING. All the time.
I’m not sure if it’s just an effect from all the exercise I do.
I’m really struggling mid morning and need to really eat by 10am - i was doing well on 16:8 but now its more like 15:9 or 14:10.
On the plus side again I was wearing some trousers I’ve owned for over 15 years. I was glad to fit into them and have only ever worn them when I was on the smaller side. However now they are like clown trousers.
I’m nowhere near as light as I have been in the past. So it must be muscle I am putting on this time.

I’m also looking for good snacks/lunches.

Egghead68 · 22/01/2020 23:07

I find high-protein yoghurt, kefir or quark pots really good snacks as they fill you up. I also like fruit salad for the bulk and because it feels like a treat. Options hot chocolate is good for a chocolate fix.

I like a hot lunch so usually go for an M&S plant kitchen ready meal (sweet potato katsu curry is particularly filling). I am sure there are healthier options though!

Egghead68 · 22/01/2020 23:10

P.S. the cherry, pecan and chocolate graze box is another good snack on stressful days.

Tryingtwo · 22/01/2020 23:14

@AdventureTravelDreamer just a quick hello and check in to see if you are okay

Egghead68 · 23/01/2020 07:05

Morning.
65.0kg. Going on a gastronomic walking tour this morning (got a voucher for my birthday last year) so that will count as breakfast and lunch.

Hope everyone has a good day.

cricketmum84 · 23/01/2020 07:07

Well I barely ate anything yesterday and am still the same weight! I seem to go through stages where I totally lose all enthusiasm for food? Yesterday I had 2 satsumas, a plum and then a quorn gammon style steak with about two tablespoons of celeriac mash. Felt awful by bedtime and I have no energy this morning at all.

I've got a meeting with eldest DDs Barnados key worker today. She's really lovely and seems to have made some real progress with her so far. Fingers crossed we should be able to start a referral to a gender identity clinic!

Plan for today is
B - alpro yoghurt and raspberries with a sprinkle of granola
L - mushroom soup and maybe a toasted wholemeal pitta
D - butternut squash curry and cauli rice

Still got plenty of fruit in for snacks and need to up water intake as I've been rubbish the last few days!

Have a lovely day everyone

Scales same for me too and I was also under yesterday. Just was not hungry at all.

DownUdderer · 23/01/2020 07:37

It’s been an extremely hot day here, I’m literally just sweating my way through. We don’t have air con at home so it’s really hard going. I’m trying to be good with my food. Tomorrow will be cooler again. Every year I dream that next year we’ll have air con!

BeyondReasonablyDoubtsLots · 23/01/2020 08:31

I've had two days that haven't been great food-wise, still met my activity goals, and they haven't been "normal" crappy days, but not enough water and too many snacks. My weight is back up a bit, so I'm hoping it's retained water :(

JessJonesJumps · 23/01/2020 09:24

Weigh-in day today:

SW: 13.7.8
CW: 13.2.2

Loss: 5.6

I think it's unlikely I'm going to lose 1.4lbs in a week so I probably won't lose 7lbs this month. It's a bit disappointing but otoh I feel I don't have a solid routine yet eg sometimes I do yoga, sometimes circuits, sometimes at night, sometimes in the morning. I'm hoping that once I'm more organised, I'll do better.
@JontyDoggle37 hope you're feeling better.

peachgreen · 23/01/2020 09:29

I won't make 7lbs either @jessjonesjumps - 5.2lbs so far. Still a great achievement from us both though. Flowers

Tryingtwo · 23/01/2020 09:39

Good morning all. Unexpected whoosh this morning I'm down a lb. I had fresh blueberries in my porridge instead of frozen and it was much nicer. I like the frozen berries but was surprised at the difference.

JessJonesJumps · 23/01/2020 09:42

peach you're right! Smile

KnucklesMcGinty · 23/01/2020 11:02

Morning all! Started C25K again today. Not sure it's going to work out, but I'll keep going for another few runs before I decide.

Somesortofzilla · 23/01/2020 11:09

Morning all!

I went a little off track with desert last night after a few of the girls called over. Stayed under calories (barely) but filled up on some chocolate and cake. But we did go for a long walk before hand so we kinda deserved a treat Smile

Congrats @recklessgran great things are moving in the right direction for you!

Congrats everyone on your weight-loss! have a great day Grin

recklessgran · 23/01/2020 11:51

Morning all. Weight back up a tiny bit again this morning. This means I've been hovering around the same weight for 5 days now. I have not cheated once so in a way I'm not worried but just hoping I'm not stuck. Not sure what I can do about it but know that I MUST up my activity!
@Somesortofzilla I think you're doing great and glad that you have rl friends to help you through the stbexh's idiocy.
Hope everyone else is staying on the wagon and agree with you all that a loss is a loss so as long as we stick together we can all keep the downward trend going.
No food plan for today but it is a OMAD day for me. DGC are coming after school for bangers and mash and profiteroles.

MsTSwift · 23/01/2020 13:48

Reckless I plateaued for weeks before getting a downward rush.

Ecci · 23/01/2020 15:42

Reckless gran, this month I've found that I plateau for several days, then I get a drop of a pound or two. Down 6.8 so far and currently in a plateau so I'm hoping it drops before the end of next week. Just keep at it.

lilgreen · 23/01/2020 17:57

Hi everyone I’ve not been on since Christmas holidays. I didn’t have lots to lose(10st3 to 9st7) and got to 9st8 on Christmas Eve. I wasn’t very bad over the main Christmas days but just got out of the zone. Anyway, been back at work a few weeks and decided to weigh this morning as I’d gone up after a Christmas. I was only 3lb from target at 9st 10lb up and so surprised as I hadn’t been watching my diet. This has spurred me on to lose the last 3 and reach target without Christmas in the way.

lilgreen · 23/01/2020 18:00

B: porridge with seeds and blueberries and tbsp Greek yoghurt
L: Rye bread with mashed avocado, an apple
S: 1 rice cake with tbsp hummus
D: Not hungry yet

JessJonesJumps · 23/01/2020 18:01

I'm not doing well today. I've eaten a Twix and some wine gums and I'm starving!
